  1. AR has come out and stated himself that it was done on purpose because Levis did it. None of this guy’s points are any good and basically have nothing to do with real football, or reality in general for that matter. Anytime somebody just throws out the statement that Richardson has “the highest ceiling” as if it is consensus truth, you know they are talking out of their ass. People act like you can just take any athlete and turn them into Peyton Manning in Cam Newton’s body. As if the only determining factor in being an elite passer and processor is coaching. It’s just not reality.
  2. I think we need every huddler to make their own thread stating why they think which QB will be the pick.
  3. Can somebody explain how a company like Nike takes 11 fugging years to get a color match when I can go to Home Depot and color match like any paint color ever in 5 minutes?
  4. Yeah using white as a main color never made much sense. As an accent, yes, just like the white fangs.
  5. I predict more harm will come of this than good.
  6. Ehhhh, that reads a bit like revisionist history considering Rhule took our offer to the Giants and begged them to match it and they declined. There were a lot of people who thought it was a bad hire from the start, but I can see how you could argue it was a reasonable coaching hire in some way. What is basically unarguable is that in no way did Rhule deserve to be given the power and the contract that he got. He had not earned that at all, and it was a terrible and indefensible decision. Also, his plan to only hire yes-man college assistants for his staff is something Tepper would have known in the interview and that other teams would have known. I feel very confident that the interest in full roster control, full college assistant, social media micro manager Matt Rhule was probably not as high around the league as you are making it out.
  7. Yeah…that’s what he’s saying. Their vision for the team and how to build it together moving forward has to mesh otherwise it’s a waste of time.
  8. I think just because he’s going through the same situation again. Not a lot of head coaches go through a change in ownership, let alone two. Is Rivera the first?
  9. Tepper went on to “mesh” with Matt Rhule, one of the worst head coaches in league history. That’s a dub for Rivera.
  10. I thought AR did kind of poorly in that clip. Watch it again, he misses the more nuanced stuff.
  11. Strange, I’m now seeing that Richardson hit the ceiling on purpose to ‘up Will Levis’. When I saw the clip, I thought his reaction was a little awkward and forced and wondered if he did it on purpose. Pretty inconsequential, just weird.
  12. Idk what you want from me, you aren’t reading my posts. Yes, Cam is a different breed, that is the whole point. We are drafting #1 overall, not #9, we should be looking for a different breed type guy. Young has “it”, Stroud has been so good he’s hard to overlook. I don’t think Richardson has “it”, or at least he hasn’t shown it if he does, he’s got more questions, and WAY worse tape.
  13. I can see some of you want big man run fast no matter what so we’ll just see come draft day.
  14. Did Will Levis have such a markedly better cast around him? He managed to complete 65% and I don’t see anybody banging the Levis drum. Maybe AR doesn’t throw a very catchable ball.
  15. You missed the point completely. He excused ARs poor college QB play saying Florida didn’t have talent, I’m comparing Cam because he didn’t have much around him at Auburn and carried the team. Richardson did not do that, therefore not worthy of #1 overall.
  16. 53% is abysmal for a college QB. We’re not talking about splitting hairs between high completion %
  17. Since people love this comparison, you know how many members of Cam Newton’s offense at Auburn got drafted (besides Cam)? 1. Lee Ziemba. Yet Cam still put them on his back and carried them to a national title. That’s a dude that has “it”. Richardson ain’t it.
  18. Maybe he does, but he didn’t really show it in his on-field performance. Too many questions for #1 overall when you’re comparing him to guys who you know can run an NFL offense and process.
  19. True to an extent. We do know he had a 53% completion percentage. I find it difficult to believe he applied himself as fully as say Bryce Young or CJ Stroud, especially given his immense physical talent.
  20. Not everything can be developed. There’s an “it” factor that some guys have that I don’t think Richardson has. You can’t teach him to love film and eat and breathe football and be a perfectionist of his craft, that’s something that comes from within.
  21. Lol we’ll probably end up with pick 7 or something even with the 4th worst record.
