  1. Now compare KK talking about his contract, to Luke, Cam, TD, and Olsen. Pretty similar.

  3. The WR and CB battle is going to be truly epic this year. I can't wait to see how that unfolds, because we actually have quite a few talented guys, despite what a lot of people think. The battle for RT will also be pretty good. It's smart of them to split time like that, for right now. When the pads go on, we'll see who rises fair and square, as they say.
  4. Solid roster to get started with. Come on training camp!
  5. Talk him down again, asshole, and see what happens!
  6. Not a bad comparison really. Obviously he's done nothing in the NFL yet, but I can see what you're saying.
  7. Well, you told everyone that asked, that you wouldn't be able to take much from the linemen, and why. Good job of still providing some content for those that requested.
  8. I feel like his intent was to live with it. Josh's agent blew it for us. I don't say blew it for Josh, because he got his mega deal, but I truly feel he soured the whole situation. To the point, it seems, that Gettleman just said, fug it. The position isn't as important in the scheme we run, true, but that doesn't mean you ignore it. We still have to have the players there, and my assumption is, that he liked the young talent in the draft, more than the vets in FA. Maybe they fit better, than those on the open market.
  9. He was designated as a franchise player. Maybe you don't know how it works? For another team to get him, they'd have to give up 2 first round picks, PLUS the contract. Nobody is going to do that. Not even Washington. There was literally no way to get anything for him.

  11. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 1m1 minute ago Teams who have been quietly working the QB circuit: The #AZCardinals, #Panthers, #Falcons & #Seahawks. Big backup QB day today.
  12. Your rants are just that... rants. You're mad, and you just blurt out whatever gibberish comes to mind. Tell us, since you think you know, what the hell could have been done? What could Gettleman have done, instead of "letting talented players walk?" Also giving examples of which talented players he's let walk would be great, because he's got a shitload of talent under contracts that he's negotiated, and I really can't think of any. That's something I'd be extremely interested to know. You're blaming him for this whole mess, and you have no idea why, or how, it all happened. Funny how Norman all of a sudden decided to go with a new agent, the day after this happened. An idiot like me, would assume that the agent he was working with, had a lot to do with it. Gettleman makes mistakes, just like every other human being. You know why so many people back him? Because he's done a metric poo ton more good for this team, than he'll probably ever do wrong. That's why he gets the benefit of the doubt, most of the time.
  13. Source? That's a silly assumption anyway. There's been a lot of talk this morning about his agent causing all of this mess, but even that is assumption, until there's a good source. We don't know what the reasoning was, but I highly doubt Gettleman is going to let his pride get in the way of winning. There's something else...
  14. Most of what they talked about pre-draft was how quick/powerful he was. He's also shown, during his time here, that he's very explosive off the line. I don't think that's why he fell. He only started 24-26 games at DE. I think it was more his inexperience at the position.
  15. Most of us know that DE's don't typically make a massive impact their first year or two. Guys like Peppers are freaks of nature, and are very rare. That being said, I wouldn't be terribly upset about getting a DE that Gettleman feels is worthy of a 1st round pick. May not necessarily be Dodd, just in general. We do a lot of rotating along the d-line, and I think that bodes well for young guys. They don't have the weight on their shoulders of being a full time guy, that has to make something happen. They can still be an impact player, not being full-time, and get valuable playing experience throughout the year. Ealy is a good example. Yeah, we got him in the second, but they had a first round grade on him. You could see flashes throughout his rookie year. He made an impact, but due to our rotation, we didn't have to keep him out there all the time. I think that's what we're looking to achieve, and if they produce above and beyond that, it's only sweeter.
  16. Hmmm... probably Peppers. 12 sacks in 12 games played, back in 2002. Jevon Kearse had a monster rookie season back in the late 90's. Very, very few. Why do you ask?
  17. I wouldn't have too many issues with this pick. I like his size(6'5" 275 lbs!), and seems to have a good motor. It's just so tough to make much of an impact, at that position, in the first couple of years. Especially with his lack of experience. Even so, it could be very good in a couple of years.
  18. True, it sucked, but we can't expect a blowout in the playoffs. Great teams, great coaches, great QB's. It's gonna be a dogfight.
