If someone is offering us a first next year then yeah you heavily consider and likely take that. But that does seem like a bit of a too good to be true scenario.

I'm just not keen to buy into trading down in general after seeing the aftermath of Fitterer's wheeling and dealing. Just about everyone loved that poo at the time. Now his former best friend is our GM.

I'm more than okay with just taking whatever top talent is available at our respective picks if that's what we do.

This. People are underestimating the value of pick 33. That's a fugin first rounder basically. Somebody from the first round is going to fall to 33. Trading that away just for an extra mid-2nd next year is so damn stupid to me.

You must look at the value. If your draft is not value-driven, then you probably aren't doing it right.

We come out behind in 2024 draft value in this trade. Instead of picking up someone who absolutely will have a 1st round grade at pick 33, we're swapping them for a future middle of the round 2nd rounder next year. It's just a dumb trade.

Trading a quarter for 2 dimes, when we're in the middle of a rebuild.

This dude is going to whiff on so many tackles in the NFL. Takes like 10 seconds to drag the QB down on every sack, and in the open field relies on thumping and never wraps up.

  4. It has strangely always felt inevitable that Clowney would be a Panther some day. The vibes were always  there. Even after the board tried to force "downey for Clowney" as a follow up to "suck for Luck" and it felt almost as cringe and forced than this year's "Gerber" thing.

I can safely say that 99.9% of the Carolina Huddle would be thrilled and relieved to see that even the detractors. Winning cures all.

What's wrong with waffles? They're fuging delicious.

Probably more like 85%. Not even 99.9% of Huddlers were happy to see Cam win MVP. Sunk cost fallacy will be a thing, some people have decided that Bryce will never be good, so even if he becomes good they'll have to convince themselves he's not to save face.

People get on Mingo like he was a bust, but in this offense, he had over 400 yards as a rookie--now, those are TE numbers, but he had a catch in every game, I believe.

He was one of the least open receivers in the league by a wide margin.

Check out our new guy all the way on the other side of the chart.

That’s the biggest quality I’d be wanting right now.

Same. Something that made Wilson so great in Seattle is that he could lob up a wounded  duck and his WRs would come back to the ball and fight for it and come down with it. If Bryce did that it's an automatic pick 6. He needs some dogs throwing elbows trying to help him out.

  8. People listed all the same reasons Deandre Hopkins wouldn't come here last year. We're irrelevant, we don't have a great QB, he'll only sign for a Super Bowl contender, etc. And then he signed to play for one of a small handful of teams equally irrelevant as the Panthers to be thrown to by Ryan Tannehill.

Big name players don't always sign for the top teams.

That's definitely reason to be optimistic. Tbh the main thing separating Wilson on the Seahawks and Bryce Young was that Wilson could close his eyes and throw up a wobbler, and one of his WRs would actually break off his route and come back for the ball and come down with the catch. If BY did similar it would be ugly.
