  1. He never has been. He’s a stats guy not a guy that wins games for you. Reddick had way ore big time plays last year.
  2. Someone that went to a Super Bowl and former All-Pro vs someone on the roster that couldn’t start on Bama this year? We have safety help to protect a 35yr olds speed but we don’t have anyone to help with inexperienced CB. At this point in the season with two must wins, experience over athletic ability every time. Tom Brady will destroy a bunch of 3rd sting CB. Dalton has been around the league a long time and while he might be able to fool starting CB’s…we don’t have any.
  3. I dunno…if I were Sean Payton, the richest owner in NFL has an opening with an older Pro Bowl QB and Payton has an ego, plus it’s the AFC so the saints would be willing to take a future pick for him (if they have any left).
  4. It’s not all “lost” money. The property is already for sale with a new interstate exit to add connectivity. The land now has infrastructure. The land is worth a lot more than he paid for it. Enough to make up for the full amount spent on the actual structure? Probably not but he isn’t just going lose everything he spent on it. I’m sure he will sell the golf course he bought down there too.
  5. This. I know we have looked better recently with Wilks at the helm for sure....but we just can't give him the permanent job with four winnable games to go. We could get trounced four games in a row and all the progress can be thrown out the window. To say he trending in the right direction is a much better than "he has proved it". Six games doesn't make a season when there is four more to go.
  6. I think right now it comes down to this: Can we find anyone better as a leader of men? Maybe, but not that likely Can we find anyone better to bring in a fresh offensive prospective? Probably. Can we find anyone better to do both? Bringing in an up and coming coordinator has huge risk/reward. Wilks, at least as it seems now, is damn good a leading the men he has to play hard for him. Would I take Reich over Wilks? Yes. The OC from Philly or Detroit? Probably because I want to watch fun football again. Harbaugh, yeah. Leftwich? Dunno, not convinced it wasn't Arians running the O and they aren't exactly lighting the world on fire since Arian left. Are we going to get one of these guys without a franchise QB? I don't know. But if we can't lets stick with Wilks and get him a real OC.
  7. Wilks got the Rhule stink off this team in a short amount of time. Bravo for that! But we had talent, and are just now at least performing more-or-less like we thought we would be playing (.500 ball). The team is absolutely playing better for Wilks but is because of Wilks...or just removing Rhule? Hard to say yet. Let re-evaluate at the end of the season and see how we do against the rest of the cellar dwellers we play.
  8. He wasn’t bad but he was never going to win us a playoff game, which is why he was traded. But he could have been kept if just to mentor a young player until they were ready. We have lost draft capital on the two current QB failures putting us further behind.
  9. Someones eggshell penis hit the wrong button
  10. If he had actual reps in training camp and a full season running the scout team I would be more inclined to think he has an opportunity to compete for the job next year. But sitting around in a meeting room and not practicing...he won't be any more prepared next year except for knowing the playbook better and maybe how to watch film better.
  11. On a team looking to make a run in the playoffs, yes. A rebuilding team that is years away from even making the playoffs, no. Should have made the trade even if it isn't for 2023 picks. When is the last time Burns made a significant impact on a game? Sure he gets some sacks but they never seem to be when we "need" them. He is a one trick pony that, when its working...it works. But when an OL has the tools to contain him, he makes zero impact. He is a liability against the run as well. He is good at what he does...applying pressure, but that's about it. But at 20+ million/yr on a rebuilding team with jokes for other DE? Nah I would have rather taken the 3 picks.
  12. But he made a long throw and made ESPN! People act like he magically woke up with a blessed arm. He has always had a cannon. Having a cannon doesn't make you a good QB...it means you can hit a WR 62 yards downfield once every few years. PJ seems like a nice kid and good teammate. He has earned a backup QB spot somewhere for a few years. But come on folks, he was fourth on OUR depth chart preseason game 3 for a reason.
  13. We have to completely rebuild the offense with a rookie QB. Offensive coach please. I like Wilks and give him the Dc
  14. I trained for a marathon with a high ankle sprain that lasted 6+ weeks. Forward movement isn't really an issue, its a matter of pain management. Lateral movement on the other hand can give you the piercing shooting pain. If he is latterly running side to side then he might not be that far from returning. Otherwise, he is likely working on flexibility while out of the boot.
  15. Well I guess the ping pong is better than the beer pong that is going on over at Hornets facility
  16. Wilks job is to get the 3 year Rhule stink off this team. That isn't going to happen after 2 practices and a flight to LA. Kicking Robbie out of the game is step in the right direction. He is working with a 4th string QB and almost the entire back 7 hurt. We were never going to beat the defending SB champs, but if gets rid of Robbie, I consider that a win. Could they have been more aggressive on offense? Sure. Does ANYONE think it would have changed the game? We have the worst offense in football with our starter. When forced to throw downfield, PJ is an interception machine. They were playing to limit backbreaking mistakes. Lets see how they call a game with Baker or Sam before we say he isn't playing to win.
  17. Yeah, you can't expect to keep your job if you aren't changing things up. Hopefully just coach speak and trying not to talk bad about Snow.
  18. Well if Bozeman isn't even given a chance, you can be sure he won't be signing another contract and we are back to a below average starter and poo backup. The guy was a 3 year starter on a good line and hasn't played a snap. There is more to the story because his tape says he is better player than Elf. We don't need "above average". Average would do. Not a liability would do. Able to call right protections would do.
  19. Are Kunkel's "sources" telling him this?
  20. Appaloosa had like 39 employees in it heyday. He is extraordinarily good at running a hedge fund. I am sure he can talk stocks better than most because that is what he has done extremely well at for decades. None of that makes you a polished act speaking to sports reporters and having to answer live, uncomfortable questions. He goes on CNBC and is in his element. He has never been comfortable on screen with the Panthers, even when its at halftime of a pre-season game and it's 89 asking him softball questions.
  21. 6 wins with this bunch and schedule? Yeah for sure should be on a short list. But not at the expense of one of the up and coming OC’s. This offense has been so bad for so long we need someone fully capable of turning the entire offense around, not just some guy calling plays.
  22. Well winning football isn't being coached, that's for sure. They all say "we have talent"...well ok then, how about coaching them to win a game or two? The only time we win is against a poo QB or a team decimated by injuries.
  23. LOL. Mark Richardson would make Mark Davis look uber-rich. He would have no real net worth beyond the team he inherited and any cash daddy gave him. No thanks. I want an owner that has his own skin in the game, not something he inherited from Daddy.
