You can tell good coaches from bad coaches just on the way they handle adjustments. Good DCs DO NOT keep doing the same thing if it's not working, they make necessary adjustments or usually have a plan B. I have yet to see Ejero EVER make the necessary adjustments when a team is lighting us up on offense. It's either our gameplan was good enough, or we get 30+ hung on our head with little resistance. At some point, ditch the zone and make Pennix SEE something different or at least TRY to fuggin play man. Or hey, you know, actually try to blitz a VERY bad QB? Jesus fuggin Christ it's infuriating.

I mean, Frank Reich knew right when he saw Bryce throw that he was doomed. Both of these coaches have seen a lot of QBs during their time in the NFL, they're not stupid. Bryce Young has been forced upon them by Tepper. Forced Reich to get on board with drafting him, and forced Canales to try and "fix" him. Bryce realized early that he doesn't have the talent to make it in the NFL. You could just see it in his face during his rookie year that it was over. He knew deep down he could not make the throws. He doesn't even look for the deep ball anymore because he knows he can't physically make the pass.

Sam Howell is at the top of my list, and if we can swing him for a late draft pick or something then do it. Big arm, mobile, learning behind a superbowl MVP, and still only 25. Put up damn near 4000 yds in a year he was running for his life. Dude can absolutely sling it, but he is a turnover machine (which IS coachable).
