  1. I mean, it didn't feel like a thorough whipping as I was watching it live at the stadium, especially in the second half. But I respect Baldy, so....
  2. I thought it was great. The rumbling in the stadium as it appeared was cool.
  3. Call me crazy, but I think I'd take the automatic win and just deal with a week of Sam speculation. (That said, I doubt very highly the game will be forfeited)
  4. Looks like a number of the offensive coaching staff, lower on the tree, could be out for the game this week. Edit: sorry, not sure why the tweets didn't embed. Screenshots:
  5. Ok, I concur, that would be a good way to respond.
  6. They'll have to respond even if with some kind of coach speak. Joe Person already told someone on Twitter that he's going to ask Rhule about it, and NFL.com is has already posted an article about it.
  7. I saw a report earlier today that the Jags were shopping him, FWIW. ETA, found it:
  8. Lol, imagine thinking this is a ringing endorsement: That team spent some of their limited, precious draft capital on me and got rid of me two years later in favor of Taysom friggin Hill! I'm amazing!
  9. If the Saints can figure out a way to have Russell Wilson on their roster, and have anyone else making any kind of money, and can save themselves from being $80M over the cap, the NFL might as well just get rid of the cap because clearly it means nothing.
  10. The Jags have no incentive to make that deal. They aren't going to set up a division rival like that.
  11. Apparently Ciara loves Chicago.... Check out that very subtle name drop... "My good friend Missy Elliott" Damn, the Wilsons are a tedious pair.
  12. It's not really that big of a deal, just very bizarre. There's a troll, who shall go unnamed, that is convinced he has some sort of unique and genius perspective on what Tepper is doing with Panthers' management structure. He would often derail (I haven't seen it as much in the past week or so, but it was almost relentless for a couple of weeks prior to that) threads to insist that Tepper was instituting an Appaloosa Model structure of management. It felt like every time people talked about Fitterer/Rhule/Tepper, he would swoop in and just start bizarrely talking about the Appaloosa Model and would ask people "Do you know who Rhule reports to?" It was so strange.
  13. I wonder if it's just slowed as the front offices dig into the draft prospects and really start considering whether they would be better if with a draftee or with a free agent/trade prospect. Also, if the Watson situation is resolved one way or the other, we'll also probably see more movement in other directions for any team losing out on that. Watson's the lead domino and teams are just waiting for it to fall.
  14. They also plan to open name suggestions up to public, so I'm personally hoping for the Washington Boaty McBoatFaces in 2022.
  15. Also, you can't be forced if you have have appeared on Hard Knocks in the past 10 years, but that obviously doesn't apply to us. I feel like it's been a while since we've been in the "could be forced" category.
  16. The teams listed are actually who can be forced to do it without consent, with Dan ranking them by entertainment value. At the bottom, he predicts the Jags will be picked because they've publicly said they want to do it.
  17. I still think talk of trading CMC is ignoring the dead money cap hit that comes with it. I'm not so sure CMC will be on the trading block this year. However, we've seen other teams swallow a huge dead money hit, so I guess it's still possible. I suspect that as weird as this year has been, we'll see some mind blowing things this offseason in the NFL.
  18. My worry about this is that both of these teams, but especially the Jets, have extensive experience in knowing that a top QB draftee may not work out in the NFL. I think it's possible they could say "F it, we have no idea if Fields or Wilson will work out in the NFL, but we know Watson will, so let's just spend some of our picks on Watson. Instead of taking the unknown." I've seen a lot of talk from national media about what a crapshoot this draft is going to be because the normal draft activities couldn't be done and the college season was messed up. You may see teams prefer to go after veterans in trades and free agency (with the obvious caveat that the lower cap may limit free agency deals as well) than relying on the draft this year.
