One other thing I would add...
When we were hearing and seeing that the "keep pounding" motto was being deemphasized, a lot of people thought Tepper was behind it.
Now that we've had a chance to peek behind the scenes of the Rhule era, It appears our esteemed head coach had more to do with that, wanting to replace it with his own slogans and stuff like "The Brand".
It is my sincere hope that anything related to The Brand or any other stuff that Rhule was trying to push has been forcefully excised from the stadium and grounds.
Burn it all. Leave no traces...

I remember watching him in the Senior Bowl before he was drafted.
He was good.

Not familiar with this guy but this is his suggestion...
It's fairly close to things I've seen on The Huddle

And away we go...

Cool dude
One thing I've observed since the new regime got put in place is that all our new arrivals learn to say "keep pounding' pretty quick.

I suppose he could work as a rotational DE in Evero's scheme, but I'm unsure how his above-avg run defense holds up in a 3-4 vs. 4-3. Think he's just out of place but I've been wrong before
I'm sure Evero's review will play a big part in what they do with him.

Fair assessment for the most part.
YGM seems a bit like an odd man out IMO. Do wonder if we've tried to send him elsewhere this offseason.
Not really fast enough to be an edge rusher. Don't know that he's good enough inside to be a 3-4 DE.
Definitely a question mark...

Ian Thomas is worth a roster spot as a blocker. Our room game down the stretch last years is nowhere as effective without him. I get he doesn't bring much as a receiver, but him taking a pay cut is a good move for both sides.
There are loads of indications that our offense this year could be very run heavy.
That's a situation that makes a good run blocking tight end more valuable.

Every owner in every sport has trusted the wrong person/people in charge with their franchise at one time or another, I can't fault an owner who screwed up their first ever hire, particularly given how often NFL coaches get turned over.
Well... outside of the Rooney's that is, it's still baffling that they've only had 3 coaches in the last like 60 years, unheard of success rate
They've been smart.
Not being smart immediately isn't a bad thing as long as you can see it and admit it.
The next step after those two things is to correct it.
Tepper's in that process, at least.

I've said the whole time that people were being too hard on him.
Everyone wanted to have an owner that was hands off, hires his football people and let's them do their thing, which is exactly what he did. It sucks that it didn't work out the first few years, but beyond pushing them to be in on trades for Stafford and Watson, he's been a very hands off owner from the football side of things.
His mistake was putting that trust in Rhule, you can be mad all you want at giving him one too many years, but that's not enough to make him a bad owner.
Trusting the wrong people is one of the worst mistakes any owner can make.
It was the same mistake that Jerry Richardson made. Unfortunately, Richardson never learned (or acknowledged) how wrong he was.
Tepper has at least admitted to his failures and seems to be working to fix them.
I'll take that.

The biggest positive for me is that he let the football people run the coaching search, right down to abstaining from the final vote.
He's also publicly admitted that he came in thinking he could change everything and revolutionize the game but has now learned that he wasn't as football smart as he thought he was.
His role these days seems best described as questions and suggestions, but not decisions.
As long as it stays that way, I'm good.

Not to discredit Fitterer, as in my book he gets a clean slate post Rhule post Tepper 2.0 (we’ll see how long that lasts).
But Wilks was the Robbie reason. Loved it too. Take no BS.
Fit did his job to clean up the mess and make something out of the spilled milk.
edit: if I could rule out the other suspects, Fit would be being looked at harder though.Wilks had no say in player personnel, only coaching staff.
As head coach, he could bench Robby, but he had no power to cut or trade him.

I agree, but they need to hit on the QB selection.
I'm a lot less concerned with who they pick than I am who makes the pick.
As long as that decision is made by the football people, I'll be okay with it.
(even if it isn't my first choice)

Would not surprise me at all if we are on Hard Knocks this year.
I don't think we can be.
They have some rules, and if I recall correctly we would fit one of them to be excluded.
Don't remember which, but I've seen lists of eligible teams and we never seem to be on them.
