  1. Like... what do you mean... Have you watched the offseason? Do you think we carry 3 QBs? Do you feel the Mike is our weak spot on the defense? Hasn't there been trade rumors for Darnold. Roquan literally requested to be traded. Either you are out of the loop thinking this "hypothetical" question is too far fetched to give your point.. Or maybe just keep the poo comment to yourself.
  2. I am digging this defense on paper so far. Hearing good things out of camp. With the uncertainty of Darnold. What would you offer and who would you execute a trade with to help out both on defense and/or offsense. My first thought is with the Damien Wilson situation I think we are a MLB away from competing to be another top 5 defense this year. With rumors and sources swirling around I am hearing some of these players are on the block or should be on the block. My offer: Darnold and Robbie Anderson (with potentially throwing in a 3rd-5th pick if necessary) for Atlanta Falcons: LB Deion Jones : Deion Jones posted 130 or more tackles for the second time in his career in 2021. The 27-year-old veteran has averaged 109 tackles per season throughout his six years with the franchise. Chicago Bears: LB Roquan Smith : Smith requested a trade 4 days ago and Darnold could help the Bears with QB depth and also Robbie would be starting WR on that team after losing Allen Robinson. Smith had 163 total tackles last year and added 3 Sacks and 1 INT. Second Team All Pro.
  3. Changes need to be made. The fiery culture I saw on TV and from my seats has been absent the last 4 games. Drops on offense, poor blocking, bad throws, etc. you name it we look poor. Coaching is off and play calling has been poor. A 1-5 awful team just manhandled us for 4 quarters. fitterer if you are still in the trade game make it happen. Everyone open on offense but DJ Moore for trade. Don’t touch the defense. this is hard to watch…
  4. I like who we selected and the players we got with the selections that occurred. However, only time will tell if the trade down three times will be effective. With those moves we missed out on players I thought we would have drafted that definitely would have help: -Trevon Moehrig S -Samuel Cosmi OT -Asante Sameul CB -Aaron Brooks OG -Liam Eichenberg OT I like the picks that we ended up with at where we selected but we passed on a lot of talent IMO.
  5. Garrett will make this roster some way, some how. I like Hill and wish he would fulfill the potential be possesses but what I am seeing from Garrett the dude is a football player and he fits our scheme. If he balls out don't be surprised you see Hill gone.
  6. Ah understandable. IMO he will be an upgrade to Cotchery once he gets those routes down. Being Long-legged like that does take some time to get that big body moving. In the highlights ive seen about 85% of his balls hes caught where deep 20+ yarders for big gains. I love the way he high points the ball and lays his body out like a shorter receiver. Probably one of the UDFAs I've looking forward to seeing in preseason the most. Dude is gonna make the 53.
  7. a "Taller Cotchery" lol really? Garrett is 6'3 and ran a 4.53 at the combine. Cotchery prolly was in the 4.6-4.7 range last season for us. Garrett is going to be a beast. I could see Garrett splitting time with Philly and Funchess by mid-season. Dude is going to surprise a lot of people.
  8. My Day 2-3 WTF pick as far as QB's go for the Panthers was Dak Prescott but I think the Cowgirls are going to take him at the beginning of the 3rd. So I am going to go out and say we take 1 of these guys in the later rounds: Jacoby Brissett, QB, N.C. State Height: 6-3. Weight: 231. Arm: 32.88. Hand. 9.5. 40 Time: 4.94. Projected Round (2016): 3-5. Jeff Driskel, QB, Louisiana Tech Height: 6-3. Weight: 230. Arm: 32.5. Hand: 9.75. 40 Time: 4.56. Projected Round (2016): 6-FA. Vernon Adams Jr., QB, Oregon Height: 5-11. Weight: 200. Hand: 9.13. 40 Time: 4.84. Projected Round (2016): 6-FA. Note that all of these guys are athletic and can extend the plays with their legs. Wouldn't have to change schemes with these guys. Not saying this is even going to happen but wouldn't be surprise with DA and Webb getting "older" My pick would be Driskel athletic big kid with wheels. 4.56 in the 40. Strong Arm. Could be good development piece for Back up.
  9. If we trade up I think itll be into the 40's range and select either Hunter Henry, Kendall Fuller, or Sterling. If we stay at 62 I think we obviously go BPA which could be Cravens (might not be there), WR Tyler Boyd, LT Clark/Colmeman, or Bronson Kaufusi.
  10. Now, that would be a dream scenario. But I don't see AJ Klein being worth a 2nd and 6th but that would be a good deal. I think instead of Ogbah and Derrick Henry, a combo that would be awesome too, I would say Sterling and Cravens would be great with those picks. I don't see that happening though.
  11. Too many good depth addition CBs in this draft to reach for a 2nd-3rd round CB in the 1st. Gettleman will still go best player available whether that's DLine, WR, Tackle, or Secondary. In the 3rd-5th round look for guys like Harlan Miller, Rashard Robinson, Ryan Smith, DeAndre Elliot ( had to look him up from Colorado State : official meeting with us), Deiondre Hall, etc. There are some great value in these guys in mid rounds. 1st 2-3 picks need to be BPA.
  12. Is that accurate? I recall trading up in the 2nd last year for Funchess and only giving up our 2nd pick and the 5th? If this isn't right what did we give upp? we traded up from 57 to 41 and gave them 57, 39 (3rd), and 201 (6th). it would cost 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th. Idk.
  13. I agree that all four of those guys are very unlikely to be there at 62. With those guys being the ones we are after in round 2 a trade up is almost a must.
  14. I could see Corey Coleman falling to us at pick 30 and then Gettleman could trade up in the teens of round 2 and give up the 4th pick to select Su'a Cravens or Hunter Henry or one of the DEs that falls. I could see Ogbah or Dodd falling into the 2nd.
  15. I would agree that the draft is very top heavy with DLine and even though that its a high need for us, I could only really see 1-2 DL that we would take being there at 30. In the first round teams really need to do their due diligence and make sure they don't waste a 1st round pick on a bust. With the DLine being the most talented and has the more depth, I could see the major of the top DL being gone by 30 because of teams wanting to make sure they get the biggest bang for their buck. With that said I could see a WR or Tackle falling to us or even a CB as well. I would really consider taking the likes of Docston, Derrick Henry, Taylor Decker, Coleman, or some of the CBs like William Jackson at the 30th pick. If Gettleman's man isn't there at 30, I don't completely rule out GettleFather making his first trade back into beginning of 2nd round because the value of that pick doesn't necessarily change that make. Now with the Panthers having the MOST complete team in the NFL with few holes other than depth to address, I also could see Gman turning those 6 picks into more of like 4 picks trading up and going after HIS guy. Only time will tell really as Gman is going to pick the Best Player Available at 30 whether Offense or Defense.
  16. alright guys. tried another one. "think" like Gettleman is almost impossible because I truly believe with the offseason moves and the comments made he is going for BPA. Meaning it will be hard for anyone to guess who he selects in the 1st round because it all depends on how the draft unfolds and who is there at 30. With adding Boykin I don't believe CB is going to be selected in the 1st and with the "Elite" offensive tackles gone and also Lawson and Dodd gone, what other option is to add FEAR in the eyes of our opponents and draft a bruiser. The rest of the draft unfolded with me added key players to fill holes and add depth. As you can see OL wasn't addressed because of the talent level in the later rounds. Plus Rivera has said the team has won 22 out of 25 games with Remmers at RT. Although I think he isn't the long term answer we are in a spot to add great skill and depth: Round 1 Pick 30: Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama (B+) Round 2 Pick 31: Su'a Cravens, OLB/SS, Southern California (A-) Round 3 Pick 30: Charles Tapper, DE, Oklahoma (A+) Round 4 Pick 31: Tyler Higbee, TE, Western Kentucky (A) Round 5 Pick 29: Charone Peake, WR, Clemson (A+) Round 7 Pick 31: Juston Burris, CB, NC State (B+)
