  1. The only problem I have with it is this. Human judgements and human mistakes are what give life to sports. We all may have a more accurate game thanks to this, but I'd venture to guess we'll have a less enjoyable sport because of this.
  2. It's different when you're Tiger. He got to be the best pro with weird mechanics. Bryce got to be a really good college QB with his. Not the same. Bryce has the work ethic, I think, to learn correct form. Especially if the coaches are blunt with him and drill him on it every single day. If they can have him consistent in his mechanics every snap by preseason, the rest is easy. If not...Bryce isn't gonna be here long as the starting QB.
  3. This take is just us expecting monsters at QB thanks to Cam, Big Ben, Etc. they're the exception, not the rule. Brady wasn't resisting sacks. Peyton either. They just stood tall and delivered. That and he's 5'10" being tackled by dudes who are 6'2+ every time. It's always gonna look easy for them lol
  4. I don't think he added much muscle mass, but he's probably gained 5 lbs, just based on this and his pressers.
  5. Bryce has lanky dude bod. When relaxed, he's never going to look like he has much. When muscles are activated, he'll look jacked. It's fine. Dude definitely been lifting though. Good.
  6. I felt this deeply. My Brooks mock me daily.
  7. Now that we've established mowing is a fun, relaxing time for all of us, let's talk mowing shoes. I'm an old man in my mid-30s but I traded the monarchs for some sketchers boots and goddamn are they nice
  8. Always been the knock on him. He's so good but we're so often good in front of him that he gets cold quick. He needs a flurry in front of him to start each period or it's like watching a rookie taking his first start in the net in the playoffs. He makes a couple big saves and he's usually fine
  9. I remember which of you motherfugers called it wraps after game 2 lol
  10. I expected Kuzy to get us set up shots for Svech and Aho from the circle similar to Ovechkin. Especially on the power play. That's a high percentage scoring area we fail to get to. We force so much net front and when it works, great. But when teams are collapsing, we gotta have a plan to open up shooting lanes.
  11. So why did we sit Kuzy? Was there ever a reason given?
  12. I'm missing the game. Somebody give me a briefer on how we've looked?
  13. So this tells me Sanders wasn't pleased with us drafting a RB and wants out. Can't blame him, he got brought in to be the guy, struggled, got replaced by a more productive back, and now is threatened by a high round rookie. Penny will be here to teach the new system and help the transition period, we move Hubbard if he produces well and the rookie can produce similarly with Penny spelling him. Smart moves.
  14. So if he strengthens his core, shoulders, and legs, and tightens his mechanics and becomes more intentional with the way he throws the football, the velocity will improve. He's destined to never have a Cam cannon because he doesn't have the length. His stature means he will never have elite level velocity throw to throw, so his decision making has to be above average as well as his predictive timing. The velocity can only be compensated for in this way.
  15. I mean when you're the best, they'll say anything to distract you. Our guys are having fun and feeling it. This won't be an issue.
  16. It's exponentially more likely that you fix your OL in free agency than it is that you fix your offensive weapons. Is it possible? Certainly. But look at last season. We added a lot of weapons in FA and Thielen was the only one who produced.
  17. I swear to God if we coach up Jack Plummer and have him sharp and he shows out, this board will fuging burn the second Bryce has a bad game lol
  18. Man, our WR room is full as poo. Somebody is gone. Probably TMJ or Smith-Marsette. Ideal is one of those two looking good in preseason and moving them for picks at the start of the season.
  19. Dude hit somebody so hard he broke his own facemask. Also he's a grad student who is the winningest player in school history? Yeah gimme that guy. I think he'll be more than a ST guy in time. And if not, he's a 7th so no biggie
  20. From watching film and being a linebacker obsessed maniac for the last 22 years, here's what I can see in the kid. Pros - great athlete. Closing speed, ability to cover from hash to hash, can tell he understands the routes coming and likes to undercut them. - sure tackler. Now granted, I haven't seen a full game to truly judge this, but his form looks fine. He closes and hits and finishes from the clips I have seen, even on backs like Etienne. - seems to grasp blocking assignments and know generally where to go. When he does see it, he gets there in a hurry. - seems to enjoy blitzing and gets the fug after QBs Cons - doesn't always understand blocking assignments totally and thus, doesn't get downhill like you want to see. This could've been the way they coached their 4-2 as patience is a way to play it, but it's not how I would run a 4-2 (and I did in high school and college). Some may even say his patience is a good thing because that means he's not running himself out of the play and leaving a cutback lane. Bullshit. Linebackers getting downhill fast and violent is the play. Ray Lewis, Dan Morgan, Luke Kuechly, Zach Thomas, Brian Urlacher, all the greats dominated this way. He needs to find that every down. - unsure on his footwork. He does some hopping and sometimes stops his feet waiting to see where the hole is, and this is bad - pad level starts really high and in the NFL, this is how you die. RBs are about to be second level consistently fast. He's gotta be more aggressive downhill to solve this pad height issue.
  21. I'm getting big time DeAngelo Williams memories with the pick the more film I watch. Not quite as twitchy, but similar athletic ability otherwise. If he gets a little bigger and keeps the speed, I think he'll be a great back for us.
  22. Hubbard's job until he loses it. Brooks will spell him. Legette will line up in split back sets and sometimes start there with Brooks in the slot, I'm guessing. Allows for misdirection. I think this is a good pick, but it all depends on that knee. If it goes this season at any point, bad pick. Also ..dear God get grass in that stadium now
  23. I too don't like prototypically sized receivers who put up over 1,000 yards and 7 TDs on 70 receptions with Spencer Rattler throwing the ball to him.
  24. TDA is either gonna be solid or absolutely cost us. There's no middle ground with him.
