Panthers have been keeping quiet on this and making it look like they are all in on QB or OT. Smokescreen 1 yr LB signings, not keeping Jermaine Carter Jr, and holding onto a LB on the roster with legal situations he will be cut for tell you the one position the Panthers have been cloak and dagger about. The draft is full of good OLs for several rounds. The QB potential is deep in this draft. Possible franchise QBs are not showing up this year in the 1st round. There are only 2 LBs that can be a franchise defensive leader, and only 1 of them fits Snow's 33 with several teams positioning to trade up in the 1st round for Lloyd.

If you haven't followed Smitty on Lloyd, you should watch it.

I don’t think anyone in this draft is a can’t miss so if we traded back/ acquired a T or QB via trade/ strengthened the Edge and LB positions in some combination of moves, I’ll be hopeful.

IFFFF we are able to trade down, hard to imagine most any one (and possibly two of them)of these guys not being a significant contributor next year

I’ve mocked Thomas and Mays as well. Mays has played some center and has experience at all 5 positions 

Trade down - twice if there are any takers- 1st pick in late teens or early 20s, plus multiple 2s and 3s.

We get very good G or T, QB prospect, LB, DT, DE

Cross-Bozeman-Tom-Corbett-Moton is a nasty talented OL for the next 5-7 years.

I like the idea of Tom, Zion Johnson, or Cade Mays being a potential C in our future. All can play multiple positions and have good size

Agree he’s not a power guy- prefer Zion Johnson if we’re looking for a future center

So if you trust projections by NFL.COM, only 8 of these prospects are year one starters, and two of those are CB.

if so, if we can get a trade back (or two), seems like a good plan.

Maybe one of them had a 21st birthday party and none of their teammates went to it….
