Derrick Brown is really starting to dominate

I thought this was something new the kids were making. Anus tarts. -
I mean....none of our current ones. Hence why I said "used to." You can accomplish the same thing with a big receiving TE.

Anus tart?? -
Wilks isn't on a 3 game audition for this job, despite what some seem to think. He has a full 12 games. Maybe let this play out before he gets fired or hired in everyone's minds.

I think Foreman definitely fits what we are doing offensively better at the moment. CMC is much more suited to what the 49ers are doing. It was a win-win for both teams.

Foreman is a Piece we Need to Hold Onto

Agreed. No CMC giant contracts again. Retain him for appropriate market value and roll on. -
Next question without Rhule Mcadoo is better..
kungfoodude replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, it's pretty obvious he is still not the caliber of NFL OC we are going to need. Still, he does seem better without Rhule. I would imagine with an actual adult NFL coach in the building the weekly game planning isn't a fuging shitshow. I bet that helps substantially. -
It sucks to lose the way we did but I didn't get upset. I am taking plenty of solace in the fact that we fought back so well and showed we have the ability to do that(had not seen that much under Rhule). We were largely unlucky more than anything and didn't execute as well as we should have offensively, defensively or on special teams in the last few minutes and OT. It is what it is. Almost none of you thought we would even be competitive after Rhule got canned, so there shouldn't be all this bellyaching. If we lose a bunch of games, we get a high draft pick and a ticket into the franchise QB lottery. If we rally the rest of the season, maybe we have our coach and a future. I don't see this as a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. It's fine. I am just glad to have watchable football during what is supposed to be a complete tank job.

Well we used to have TE's for that.....

I would imagine a considerable amount have stronger arms than PJ. Once you start digging into the depth charts you are gonna get some guys that have huge arms that don't see the field for a variety of reasons. I don't know that many have really questioned PJ'S arm strength, so maybe that is the disconnect.

Most will just steal it, the way it should be

Howell was easy to be skeptical of, IMO. He had some struggles even during the good seasons that raised red flags. Not to mention that Air Raid offense is typically a pretty poor preparation for the NFL(which was one of my criticisms of Corral). Now I didn't expect his fall to be as big as it was but a lot of his class experienced that. Like you said, way too much can happen between now and when/if he is drafted. We have even seen it this year with guys like Jefferson, Richardson and Van Dyke.
-
Yeah and the last one didn't exactly end up as "trade away an entire draft" material. The college football fans are so bad when it comes to this stuff. Absolutely incapable of not having Homer takes. No doubt for the college level Maye is having a fantastic season(maybe Heisman caliber?) but it's part of the way through one season against the who's who of mediocre to bad teams in an offense designed to put up huge numbers. Let's get a couple of years of tape on the guy at least.
-
I think PJ might actually be the highest possibility to return from the current five guys. Depends on how he performs the rest of the way but I don't think Darnold or Mayfield have any shot of returning. Eason isn't likely either, IMO. Corral depends on the new coach and their assessment. Fitt I would assume wants to keep him but maybe he was another Rhule choice, who knows? He definitely looked replaceable.

I had the thought the other day that it is technically possible at this point to finish 3-3 in the NFC South and also 3-14. It would be nice to get a victory over every division rival in a season where your coach got fired in the first 5 games.

Yeah, size can be overblown as a problem but a lot of the smaller NFL QB's are built like RB's. Young is very, very slight. Much more like Robby Anderson than Murray or Wilson or Hurts.

I think a close loss.

Panthers win Sunday…1st place in the South
kungfoodude replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
That really is the truth. Might set the NFC South futility record.
