  1. McAdoo is just not a good OC. CMC had some good OC's here in the past that could take advantage of his skillsets(hell Brady was much better than McAdoo, for that matter). He is with an OC that will use him properly. Our OL is set up for a brusing runner like Foreman, so it's a win-win. Especially considering the draft capital we gained. All it is gonna take is CMC getting dinged up and all the butthurt about him leaving with disappear.
  2. IDK what it is with Huddlers and getting hung up on race. First it was Cam and now CMC. Ya'll need to dial it down a notch.
  3. Imagine that, an NFL head coach(not Rhule) isn't throwing a reactionary hissy fit, unlike the Huddle.
  4. Yeah but remember they were also pretty hyped about that 2022 QB class. Then when they started actually talking to actual scouts they realized what the league itself thought of that class.
  5. You are just generally moving the goalposts on what you think we don't have. Olsen was very obviously the kind of red zone receiving threat we relied on(same with Shockey, Walls, etc) at that position. Sometimes because we didn't have reliable red zone WR's. I am not gonna get caught up on the idea of throwing jump balls or fades. If you have quality threats, you can scheme them open. You don't need these old possession/jump ball end zone threats from the bygone era. Especially when you have even bigger and more athletic LB's and DB's that are more suited to defending that stuff.
  6. 6-5, 255? I don't know what world that is considered small.
  7. I am not sure his NFL value is terribly high at the moment. He has just about every red flag imaginable.
  8. I thought this was something new the kids were making. Anus tarts.
  9. I mean....none of our current ones. Hence why I said "used to." You can accomplish the same thing with a big receiving TE.
  10. Wilks isn't on a 3 game audition for this job, despite what some seem to think. He has a full 12 games. Maybe let this play out before he gets fired or hired in everyone's minds.
  11. I think Foreman definitely fits what we are doing offensively better at the moment. CMC is much more suited to what the 49ers are doing. It was a win-win for both teams.
  12. I think that people really want to pump him up as some sort of savior. We saw the same with the Heinickie, Allen, Teddy, Darnold and Baker Mayfield fanboys. Sometimes you are just such a fanboy that you have to make something to struggle against for no discernable reason.
  13. Agreed. No CMC giant contracts again. Retain him for appropriate market value and roll on.
  14. Yeah, it's pretty obvious he is still not the caliber of NFL OC we are going to need. Still, he does seem better without Rhule. I would imagine with an actual adult NFL coach in the building the weekly game planning isn't a fuging shitshow. I bet that helps substantially.
  15. It sucks to lose the way we did but I didn't get upset. I am taking plenty of solace in the fact that we fought back so well and showed we have the ability to do that(had not seen that much under Rhule). We were largely unlucky more than anything and didn't execute as well as we should have offensively, defensively or on special teams in the last few minutes and OT. It is what it is. Almost none of you thought we would even be competitive after Rhule got canned, so there shouldn't be all this bellyaching. If we lose a bunch of games, we get a high draft pick and a ticket into the franchise QB lottery. If we rally the rest of the season, maybe we have our coach and a future. I don't see this as a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. It's fine. I am just glad to have watchable football during what is supposed to be a complete tank job.
  16. Well we used to have TE's for that.....
  17. I would imagine a considerable amount have stronger arms than PJ. Once you start digging into the depth charts you are gonna get some guys that have huge arms that don't see the field for a variety of reasons. I don't know that many have really questioned PJ'S arm strength, so maybe that is the disconnect.
  18. Yeah, I didn't think that injury would matter because Corral was so squarely in Rhule’s doghouse we'd probably never see him. Had I known Rhule would get canned this quickly and Mayfield would be channeling Mark Sanchez, I would have been a lot more upset about Corral being on IR.
  19. I mean, if McAdoo is back just take me behind the shed and Old Yeller me.
  20. Most will just steal it, the way it should be
  21. Howell was easy to be skeptical of, IMO. He had some struggles even during the good seasons that raised red flags. Not to mention that Air Raid offense is typically a pretty poor preparation for the NFL(which was one of my criticisms of Corral). Now I didn't expect his fall to be as big as it was but a lot of his class experienced that. Like you said, way too much can happen between now and when/if he is drafted. We have even seen it this year with guys like Jefferson, Richardson and Van Dyke.
