  1. Yeah, I didn't think that injury would matter because Corral was so squarely in Rhule’s doghouse we'd probably never see him. Had I known Rhule would get canned this quickly and Mayfield would be channeling Mark Sanchez, I would have been a lot more upset about Corral being on IR.
  2. I mean, if McAdoo is back just take me behind the shed and Old Yeller me.
  3. Most will just steal it, the way it should be
  4. Howell was easy to be skeptical of, IMO. He had some struggles even during the good seasons that raised red flags. Not to mention that Air Raid offense is typically a pretty poor preparation for the NFL(which was one of my criticisms of Corral). Now I didn't expect his fall to be as big as it was but a lot of his class experienced that. Like you said, way too much can happen between now and when/if he is drafted. We have even seen it this year with guys like Jefferson, Richardson and Van Dyke.
  5. Yeah and the last one didn't exactly end up as "trade away an entire draft" material. The college football fans are so bad when it comes to this stuff. Absolutely incapable of not having Homer takes. No doubt for the college level Maye is having a fantastic season(maybe Heisman caliber?) but it's part of the way through one season against the who's who of mediocre to bad teams in an offense designed to put up huge numbers. Let's get a couple of years of tape on the guy at least.
  6. I think PJ might actually be the highest possibility to return from the current five guys. Depends on how he performs the rest of the way but I don't think Darnold or Mayfield have any shot of returning. Eason isn't likely either, IMO. Corral depends on the new coach and their assessment. Fitt I would assume wants to keep him but maybe he was another Rhule choice, who knows? He definitely looked replaceable.
  7. I had the thought the other day that it is technically possible at this point to finish 3-3 in the NFC South and also 3-14. It would be nice to get a victory over every division rival in a season where your coach got fired in the first 5 games.
  8. Yeah, size can be overblown as a problem but a lot of the smaller NFL QB's are built like RB's. Young is very, very slight. Much more like Robby Anderson than Murray or Wilson or Hurts.
  9. That really is the truth. Might set the NFC South futility record.
  10. The 57% career completion percentage and 1:1 TD/INT ratio really do indicate that he will not be successful at the next level. He's definitely a guy that needs to stay in school. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot poll in the first three rounds in the 2023 draft.
  11. Yeah, that is the weirdest criticism of Levis I have heard yet. Rhule....is that you?
  12. Yeah, if he doesn't recover this season, I am gonna be pretty concerned headed into 2023. He needs a 14+ game healthy season here or the future is gonna start looking shaky. He is too good to afford losing easily.
  13. Cowboy fans liking Pizza Hut is pretty on brand, TBH.
  14. But part of that will need to come from having a good OC. It's a lot harder to win in the NFL without a modern NFL offense, which we don't have currently.
  15. Complex situation, TBH. It would be hard to easily fire him if he has a winning record here as a HC(his record, not team record), wins the division and/or makes the playoffs. The players appear to be buying in and it seems like you are gonna further lose some guys after the Rhule fiasco and then this. But then the question is what do you do at QB and OC? Some of that will depend on how those situations look too.
  16. I would love everything about a CLT guy getting to make good here. But.....we are gonna have to come to terms with the fact that it's gonna be tough to contend without a very good OC that is gonna eventually leave. If we can finally make it work out with a defensive coach, I am all for it. But......we've seen this story as Panthers fans quite a bit.
  17. Yeah, I mean there are lots of variables but ultimately we have no real replacement for him so that is something we have to fix. Also, we are pretty light on edge rushers in general. If we were a little more stacked at DE/Edge, I would say heavy consideration
  18. Yeah but you have to replace him with someone of similar or better caliber. That isn't going to come cheaply. The odds of getting someone like that in free agency that isn't aging is limited or would garner a potentially even bigger price tag. If you trade for a guy similar, the price you have to pay probably looks similar to what you gave up. So really the best bet would be to have a pick in the range where you can get another elite DE talent. If that is the case, it's a wise choice.
