Funny how now you decide to be doom and gloom.

We have had a lot of good RB's over the years. It's just that in the modern era that position is somewhat devalued due to the dramatic shift in league offensive philosophies.

Maybe not but we might finally have our opportunity to draft a top tier talent at QB again. That would be a great help for the future of our franchise.

I think some Huddlers are as mistaken as our organization has been for years in regards to NFL RB open market value. This was a great return. Never gonna be able to replace what CMC's beings to the table but he wasn't in a position to help make us successful in our current state.

That was a very predictable bad trade. This trade was just making the best of an initial mistake(CMC contract) and the fact that you had a competitive player that wanted to go win somewhere. I was actually shocked we got the haul we did for him.

Moore is probably off the cap because of the cap implications and because there aren't going to be many teams that are interested in that contract.

The lottery is so fuging bad. It is literally the worst thing in all professional sports. And they still tank in the NBA.

I kept warning people about the Browns 1999-2017 likeness. They didn't want to believe but the similarities are so striking.

Yeah and he may prove to have been part of the problem but the way his job role was structured is going to leave a lot of questions because we just don't get complete behind the scenes info about each individual roster decision.

I share the concerns but I don't think we will see change this offseason. I am actually most concerned that Tepper may attempt to micromanage in the manner that Rhule did, which would limit how good of a GM candidate we could even get.

Oh I never said excited. I am just glad to see how it works out because we should know if that is an area of concern or not. If it looks very similar to previous drafts, we know he also needs to be booted. If Fitt can at least Hurney us into a great QB prospect, that is basically all we need. The rest is just icing.

Yeah, the Cam ship has sailed. He isn't ever gonna be that guy they remember again. It's sad but we saw it up close and personal. Just remember the good times and don't prolong that suffering.

We have no idea how much he has been responsible for and how much Rhule was. The structure was set that Fitterer was subordinate to Rhule. Without having a window behind the scenes, I think Fitterer deserves an offseason as a real GM. If it all looks the same......then we know the truth and we can all get on the same page about calling for his head on a pike.

There is no reason to be hysterical about this. The thoughts of getting a first round pick for CMC were ludicrous. His contract and injury history removed that from being a possibility. As did the overall value of RB's. Let it play out and see what those draft picks net. If they all end up being squandered, let everyone bitch until they are blue in the face.

With a full compliment of 2023 picks again, I will be glad to see what Fitterer can do in a traditional GM role again. But, if it looks a lot like his previous drafts, there is no Rhule there to blame. It will be on him.

Well, are they a good team? Jimmy G already has a wealth of weapons and they have struggled offensively. Not to mention they are very banged up. Finally, they have lost to the Bears, Broncos and Falcons who are a combined 7-11 so far. I don't know that I buy that is a team that is going to make a late run in the playoffs, or win a lot of games.

Yeah, we are just one of those franchises that didn't get the memo on building around a RB. And CMC is probably the best in the NFL but even then it just doesn’t jibe with modern football to give out those kind of contracts. And this is Shanahan's attempt to add so many weapons it will offset how injury plagued the 49ers are and make up for having Jimmy G.

It's about as good as you could expect for a RB that has been pretty injury prone. Can CMC outplay that haul? Without any question whatsoever. Can we get more for him? Extremely unlikely. This is ultimately how it goes when you invest that kind of capital in a RB in the modern NFL era. It sucks overall but it was probably the right decision. I wish CMC the best, he has been the consumate professional here.

He seems fairly demoralized, TBH.

This was a critical year for Brown. If he didn't make a jump this year, I just wouldn't expect him to make it. He took longer than expected but maybe he finally figured it out and we will have our DT star for a while. I think it will get even better when we have a scheme that suits him more.

On what CFL team?

The fact that people want to see Darnold play again proves that the Huddle does have a portion of the dumbest Panther fans representing themselves in here.

For the right price, I will always go with a Hooker.
