One of the best clips. Baker broke character so Smitty got him.
-
Ah....the old, "I know you are but what am I defense!" Sounds like you are both the dull and rusty blade.
-
That is a massive assumption. We have no actual idea how the hierarchy breaks down at the moment. It's possible Rhule didn't want Baker. It's possible McAdoo didn't want Baker. We aren't gonna know that until people start snitching on that situation. I would day given the general level of dysfunction that is reportedly rife in the organization, it's hard to assume much if anything.

I can't make you less delusional or triggered. Good luck with that.

Training Camp Interest Post-Mayfield Trade
kungfoodude replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Similar. Not jumping for joy by any means but it adds an interesting element. I suspect we will see more national spotlight because of Mayfield being here too. That's going to be an interesting thing to watch develop. I, for one, am glad there will be increased scrutiny on our situation. -
Agreed. It's POSSIBLE that we become a playoff caliber team but that seems like an insanely unlikely proposition. I just can't see us being able to suddenly answer all those questions.
-
Baker is far more talented but has played zero downs for us. Delhomme is the second best QB in franchise history. Not really sure why this is a discussion.
-
Thoughts?
-
Well we really only had leftover leftover QB's prior on the roster to just taking a leftover QB again. The price was cheap and I'd rather watch Baker Mayfield suck than Sam Darnold. At least there will eventually be some amazing throws and plays versus the 90+% poo plays that Darnold is dialing up.

If we keep Rhule after 6-8 wins, Rhule is no longer the problem.
-
Soooo....you mean....normal?
-
Disaster in what way?
-
Yeah, the ceiling is much higher but the range isn't that different. Rhule is a fuging disaster so we have a limit to our success. Yeah, hence my top end being 8 games.
-
I think the ceiling probably moved from 2-5 wins to something around 4-8 wins. That's not nothing, in fairness.

1. Basically indicates you have some personal gripe and kind of nullifies what you say after, valid or otherwise.

Traits are great but can you play? I care about that. If he can't show it in TC AND the preseason then he is just a developmental guy with little chance of being a star player. He needs to be on the bench if he can't beat Mayfield and ESPECIALLY if he can't beat Darnold.
-
Most just people high on hopium or copium. Corral is an insanely wild long shot to be successful. But, I'll take his chances of being successful over Sam Darnold. That was a no-brainer choice. Anyone legitimately upset over Mayfield taking reps from Corral is just being ridiculous. If Corral is good enough, no one should worry about Baker Mayfield.
-
I am happy with it because 2/3 of the QB's on our roster(definitely assuming PJ is a goner) I can stomach watching play, even if they aren't world beaters. With Baker or Corral, there is at least some hope of watching something better than the worst QB play in the NFL. We just have to hope Rhule isn't dumb enough to still start Darnold.
-
Went from a 2 to a 5. I finally have something to watch. 2 of our 3 QB's at least can provide some level of hope. Might be foolish hope but hope nonetheless.
-
I say the new punter. I think he gets back to near Pro Bowl form. Ideally Corral but that seems unlikely. Horn and Chinn are good candidates. Maybe Tremble.

Most Underrated Player on Every NFL Team

He gets himself in bad positions way too often, IMO. But, he has this year to figure it out. Hopefully he really jumps up to the next level and shows that he is a top 10 caliber pick. -

They had just about as easy of a path through Brown. He was supposed to be a disciplined run support guy but he has been anything but that. Need him to put it all together this season.
