  1. I mean, poo.....I think we have started a franchise record amount of PS players(would have to research that) this season. You want to start playing fans or cheerleaders???
  2. I think Moton being out is going to REALLY show itself.
  3. I mean the projected difference in draft position is really irrelevant, TBH. This is the first year sonce 2005 that 10+ teams could finished with 5 or less wins. In most years we would be solidly in the top 6 with a 4 win year.
  4. Sanders. Show the player you were before the scary injury. Coker, show you are the future AT.
  5. It's annoying how little our draft position is impacted by going 0-2 versus 2-0. The logjam in the turd pile this year is nuts.
  6. I know what you mean. This injury news(even after Chuba) really took the wind out of my sails. I was hoping to finish out the season 2-0. The real kick in the balls(if we go 0-2) is that we would still end up in the latter half of the top 10 with a 4 win season. That would really be a typical Panthers turn of events.
  7. I wouldn't but a specific win total on next year's success but I don't think there are many scenarios where 5 wins is still on the right path. TBH, that's probably the start of another Tepper rebuilding cycle. I think this will be a critical offseason for Morgan and Canales. They have to build a more solid foundation for the franchise and show actual progress in the right direction. I think they have some more leash but I also doubt it's going to be a very long leash. Remember while Rhule was preaching the gospel of Jay-Z his NFL HC career was about 85% over(lasted a total of 7 games after that). IMO, progress needs to be very visible throughout next season or DC is gonna enter 2026 on a scalding hot seat.
  8. This is a real pot and kettle moment for you. But, this is also your MO. Get offended and start losing your mind. Not surprising. Just another day on the Huddle. Lol.
  9. This smells of a pretty bad spanking. Bet TB +7.5/8 before it hits 10+.
  10. I guess he must have gotten banged up against Arizona. Or these just could be nagging injuries that they finally said "fug it" to.
  11. I just saw him being listed as questionable as of Friday. I(and I guess a lot of people) must have missed that. Damn.
  12. It's not all on Bryce in that regard. When our coaching staff goes heavy passing attack, across Dalton and Bryce, it is rarely a recipe for success. We just don't have the personnel for it. Our pass catchers lack elite talent and our OL is solid in pass blocking but dominant in run blocking. Without a credible run threat, the whole offense is substantially less capable. We just have to hope Boone and Blackshear can hit these holes that OL is making enough to keep the offensive playcallers from utterly abandoning the run or starting to get too gimmicky with the playcalling to compensate.
  13. Honestly, I am not sure that is likely to happen minus Chuba. I suspect the coaching staff will compensate by going hardcore passing(60+%) over these last two contests and that is really not our identity as a team yet. IMO. I hope we at least see them battle like they did against Dallas versus some of the early season stompings. I also hope we don't kill all Bryce's momentum in these last two games. I won't lie, very nervous about these last two games now.
  14. IIRC, my preseason prediction was something in the 2-5 win range(maybe 3-6?). Ended up being correct largely due to the reasons I made, which was the worst talent on the roster in the history of the franchise. But....it didn't look like what I expected. Bryce has earned a shot at being a FT starter in 2025 after a horrifying start and benching. Never thought that would happen. I figured either massive bust or he would recover and improve from day one. The OL was not as disjointed as I expected, even after Corbett went down(which I and about 89% of the Huddle predicted would happen). In fact the OL and Chuba appears to basically be the core of the entire roster. If we get a true, starting caliber center this may be our identity for years. The money spent on the interior paid off in a way I didn't expect. Moton got back to his solid play and Ewonku finally looked like a long term solution at LT(albeit likely never an elite LT). Unfortunately the draft picks were really quite bad, which was not a huge surprise as most were developmental players. The rookie bright lights, however, were brighter than we have seen in a long time with Sanders and Coker possibly looking like future building blocks. The defense, well.....what can you say? As bad as advertised. Very few, if any of these guys will likely be on our roster in 2 years. This is an area that will likely take years to build. One of the few shining lights was Horn. While he is having arguably his worst season statistically, he has largely remained healthy the entire campaign. I do think that he does not mesh well with Evero's defensive philosophy. IMO, you gotta make a choice there. Is Horn a guy you want to spend a bunch of money extending if your DC isn't going to utilize him to maximize his talents? Overall, we are still a deeply flawed roster with several years of building before we can hope to finally break to back to back winning season wall but the grit and competitive spirit the team has shown in the back half of the season is definitely a faint light at the end of this tunnel. We just need a good draft(after literally almost a decade of poor drafting) process and another pretty good free agency to keep this momentum going. I started off the season utterly apathetic about W's and L's and the team got me to the point of being upset about losing to TB and Philly. So, they actually won me over. I am all in on 2025.
  15. We can never know to the level the team does but there definitely wasn't PUBLIC news of him being injured. It's a little odd in the timing, hence the raised eyebrow. Could be nothing at all, obviously. I wouldn't think that would behoove a young coach to make such a move when he is trying to win games and gather momentum for next year. I will say the odds of winning these last two games really fell off a cliff. Might be a good time to jump on TB and ATL to cover.
  16. Lol. Right. I am the emotional one. I make one sentence and one meme gif and you write a novella on how upset you are that I don't see the logic(nor does the coaching staff) in playing a lot of these 5th string players. Keep in mind this is in a season in which PS players have started multitudes of games. Think maybe, IDK, there could be a logical reason for that? No, no, I am sure you are much more equipped than an NFL coaching staff that sees these players every single day of practice for months on end to determine PT for literally guys barely hanging on to a roster spot behind your keyboard. Carry on keyboard warrior!
  17. Yes, he is able to get open more consistently than those guys, without question. But it isn't just his hands, his body positioning and tracking on a lot of these flubbed balls is terrible. He is a deeply fundamentally flawed WR. Now, luckily these are things that CAN typically be improved on but the question is how much and is he able/willing to do so? In our franchise experience, this is very rare. It's all on him. He has to put in the work and really want this. I hope he does because it will be another long term hit to the roster through draft....once again.
  18. Now this feels like tanking.
  19. Sure, what year do you want me to go back to? 2000?
  20. Lol. Mr. emotional over here. It's a dumb post. Let the coaching staff handle coaching doen the stretch.
  21. Yeah, this is the same thing TMJ and Mingo guys said. Used to this non-fact based argument. YoU jUsT hAtE hIm!!!! Well as someone who actually WANTS the team to do well, how exactly does that help me?
  22. 13th best OG's start in the NFL all the time. QB's don't.
  23. But that's basically my point. Take a guy that might make a difference. The 13th best QB is rarely going to be that guy. Now, if someone falls into your lap, that's fine.
  24. Also the history of Penn St. pass rushers is pretty rough over the past 20+ years.
  25. And all the guys that we drafted that people here said would "show us" when they left. TMJ, Mingo, Corral, Grier, etc, etc. All these guys that were either bums or replacement level players. We have guys that have left here great and kept being great. Peppers, CMC, Luvu, etc. But the bulk of the guys that didn't pan out here, they also didn't pan out elsewhere.
