Darnold had no protection, no play makers. He made bad decisions because he was under pressure literally the entire game every game. If I was picking my ass off the turf after every down my confidence level in my team mates would dwindle too.,

I think Teddy is traded to Denver once they are left without a qb on day 1 of the Draft. George Payton drafted Teddy originally and is now in denver.

When Carolina trades down in the draft picking up a 2nd rounder and not having to trade multiple picks to move up for an unknown, the Darnold trade will have been for peanuts. a younger experienced QB with 2 years left on his rookie contract. This was a fantastic trade.

Darnold is only 23, has NFL experience and is younger than Joe Burrow, whom Brady turned into an elite qb. Darnold will be good. Very good.

Carolina set themselves up pretty good on both sides of the ball in 2011 picking Cam Newton and then Luke in 2012. That leadership is needed on both sides not just the offense. Personally, Shaq will never be the answer to command the defense. Luke was great at adjusting coverages. Carolina has a very good opportunity to find a new captain in this years draft in Micah Parsons and imo would be the BPA at #8.

How I see the board reacting to Fitt doing that

Fitt has already stated that sometimes you go through multiple qbs until you find one that fits. Trading away years of draft capital doesnt fit that statement. He may roll the dice on a qb at 8 but hes not stupid enough to gamble the teams future on a ?. The draft will shake a few vet qbs from the tree. Fitt will take one of those and keep building the rest of the tesm.

Trade for Darnold, sign Garapalo when hes cut. Let them battle it out in training camp.
