I would think the support the panthers organization gave dwill and his mom prior to her death would be more meaningful than attending a funeral. IMO, I think they went way beyond what was expected of them. as far as JR not personally reaching out to dwill, we dont know the whole story there. He is the owner of an NFL team and Deangelo likes to run his mouth on social media, I dont blame him for keeping his distance.

panthers did what they could. They are not running an afternoon special, they are running a business. Not exactly sure what he expected them to do. Everyone has to deal with a parent dying, the world doesnt stop, life goes on.

I'm thankful for what he gave this team but I am not sad to see him cut. Actually, I am more excited about the future of this team.

The kid is a rare talent but he comes with too many red flags. Carolina has one of the strongest locker rooms in the NFL. Will that be enough to influence this kid back on to the straight and narrow? No idea. Is it worth risking a #1 pick on, I would say no. Carolina doesn't really need any more set backs.
