Did they let Necas play center at all? Really, TBF I don't think it would really matter that Necas is playing C with KK on the wing. Let's let Necas see what he can do and hope he will be more engaged. I think this is Andersen's last season and that's why he got the start. I think King Koochie sees more games than Andersen. It was always going to be a different Canes team, not surprised that we looked out of sync. There's hope with this group though, the game was really 2-1.

Agreed, hope everyone realized how much this team changed in the off-season. I will just note that the right decisions were made with Pesce, who is hurt again, and Skjei who got his bag and deserves it. I am going to be watching Skjei's numbers with interest as his first game with the Preds was not good for him. I think he's a solid d-man, but I also think he needs the right system and pairing to be as good as he was with us. Still stung about Guentzel, but it was probably our FO's hesitation that led to him leaving for the same contract in tax free Florida. Noesen we'll miss.

I think Hulu eventually gets the NHL deal. Don't see Amazon going all in.

I think Morrow will be getting some more time in the AHL. Should be an interesting season......it's either going to be a solid, rebuilding year or we may be on the outside looking in.

If Tepper is making the pick then yeah, if Morgan is actually making the pick along with his staff then I trust Morgan more.

The thing that surprises me about Canales is the he isn't getting Young out of the pocket to be able to see downfield more or teaching Young to step up in a pocket provided by the O-line. A lot falls on Young for not being a franchise QB. He got thrown to the wolves last year and this year he gets blitzed and has PTSD from last year. Not saying he was ever a QB1, but he should be able to be a serviceable QB2 and I think he has had that knocked out of him.

I hope you are right, still think it will be tough unless there's a big change to RBA's philosophy.

I love Jarvy, but he will not be putting up 100 points while RBA is the head coach. That kind of player does not exist on RBA's roster. If Aho or Jarvy get to 90 they are having a career season playing in this system. I'll take 70+ pts from our top 4 players - Aho, Jarvy, Svech, and Necas.

This makes me think they are still working on moving Necas, but damn has the kid and the dad put us in a bad situation. We need to get a decent return on him and the entire NHL knows the headache he is giving us....still though if a team wants him bad enough we need to extract every bit we can from them. Why do we always have at least one of these guys come along every 3 years or so......

From what I read we met his initial numbers and he came back and said he wants to go to FA, which is his right. I am guessing Tampa - he'll get the same $ or more in a tax free state. We are going to look a lot different guys.....
