What exactly did the eagles defense do in this game to help them win? 31 points given up despite the chiefs only converting 4 3rd downs (facing 8 of them), No sacks, no turnovers, 6 yards per carry, two walk in touchdowns on the same play call, guys running wide open against a QB that was playing on one leg in the second half. It wasn’t the chiefs video game offense of the past with hill destroying people over the top, and the eagles defense was not a group of untalented JAGs that are just supposed to be there to keep the field warm. This tells me that the outcoaching was chiefs offense vs Phillys defense/DC. The offense scored 35 points, had over 400 yards, converted 3rd and 4th downs at 65%, won time of possession (so please don’t come at me with the defense is tired argument). The one mistake that hurt them was a fluky fumble on third down that went for 6. I get that you’ve dug your heels in making this reactionary thread, but you’re not convincing me (or most anyone else) that Steichen sucks, it’s his and the offenses primary fault the eagles lost. If you didn’t want him as a coach that’s fine, but why not apply these standards to one of the guys you’re arguing for in Kafka who managed 7 whole points a few weeks ago against the same group?

The very end equals over 5 minutes left in the game? You do realize they only had three possessions in the second half save the one with 8 seconds left and no time outs and 64 yards needed? One drive was a three and out, other two were for 60 and 75 yards. I’m not sure how you pin the loss on the eagles offense in the second half when it was their second ranked defense that led the league in sacks not bringing down mahomes once the entire game, allowing 6 yards per carry and their special teams allowing the longest punt return in Super Bowl history.

Look at the colts offensive line play this year compared to ours. Also, if the offense got better when Rhule left and yet there was the same offensive coordinator before and after, why do we not have an outpouring of support for Ben Mcadoo having a 6-6 record post Rhule with 3 QBs? Why does that only apply to wilks even though that’s not his side of the ball and his side of the ball was arguably worse?

Your criteria suggests that Matt Corral is a better QB than Brock Purdy because he was drafted higher, I guess it doesn’t matter that he’s never taken a regular season snap. Keeping with that line of thinking there’s no way we should have lost that last game against Tampa since we had #3 pick Sam Darnold facing off against some old guy who was picked in the 6th round. Guess we lost against the Steelers since they started a #2 pick and we only started a #3 pick….if only we had started our #1 pick we would have won.

Baker was only inactive for wilks first 2 games….and was on the team for 4 more weeks after that (including getting to play the second half of the Cincy game). Being available for 1/3 of the games is different than being “pretty much gone”.

By your logic we should have won more because Wilks had 2 top 3 picks at QB with 10 combined years of experience at his disposal and Reich will not.

He could also be 5-7 if the Saints didn't miss 2 field goals/completely gag down the stretch of that meaningless game
