  1. Hurts is garbage and just a glorified RB was a popular take this past offseason, especially after the eagles struggled against Tampa in the playoffs
  2. Nothing and I mean nothing will top when we had “DrewBreesIsGod” threatening to show the board up by faxing us his diploma from LSU
  3. And the sad part is that Josh McDaniels still lost to them in Saturdays first game
  4. Depends on what we'd have to give up. I'd assume it has to be above what the Browns gave up for Watson in addition to fully guaranteeing his contract. If that's the case, I'd say no.
  5. It's been a thing that's been said for years on this board, mostly by people who never wanted Cam Newton on our team for whatever reason, not just in Cam's last season. Most recent guy I can think of who debated this was Catsfan69, but there have been other posters who aren't memorable over the last decade make the same claims.
  6. Jake Delhomme was 59.4% and Derek Anderson was 54.3%. I've read on these boards that both these guys and Darnold are more accurate than Cam. This doesn't compute.
  7. So because Matt Rhule (not an offensive minded coach, as has been stated before) didn't work, let's keep shooting for .500 at best and use the same strategies that got us there previously. Hire Wilks, bring back Ron as DC, get Dom Capers and John Fox to coach the D-line and secondary. Bring back Shula as the OC and Hurney as the GM. Use pick #9 on an RB and make Josh Jacobs the highest paid RB in history and we'll be back to the glory days!
  8. Check out the historical records of interim coaches after being hired full time, and tell me how that expecting that strategy to succeed this time is any different than expecting to win the lottery?
  9. A playoff team this year is a giant asterisk when you consider how bad the NFC South was - it would have been an early exit the second we played a team with any semblance of a run defense. The Steelers physically dominated us with their backup QB, and we didn't even belong on the same field as the Bengals. I shudder to think of what would happen against the Niners or Eagles.
  10. It's the same argument you'd see on this board in the 2010 offseason on why we didn't need to take a QB, we just needed to surround Jimmy Clausen with a better offensive line and weapons and he would develop into the QB that Mel Kiper told us he would be.
  11. I agree with your premise overall. I've seen you post this graphic a few times - what year is that current through? Seems like it might be outdated if it's saying there have been zero pro bowl QBs drafted 6-10 since Herbert, Allen, and Mahomes were all in that range, Ryan Tannehill as well.
  12. They’ve been to two super bowls since our last one and won one while we haven’t had back to back winning seasons in almost 30 years. But they didnt have our “grit” and didn’t win a meaningless game today so I guess that’s something to hang your hat on
  13. Edit: nevermind, forgot Freddie kitchens was promoted to OC for the browns when hue jackson was fired and Not HC. Became HC the following year and then went 6-10
  14. My guess for Carr is the Jets or Commanders
