  1. I found it funny that Rhule thinks of himself as a tactician by "keeping people guessing" on what he's going to do at QB on Sunday. Like any of that poo is going to stop Vita Vea, JPP, Shaq Barrett and company from getting through the turnstiles to nail whoever is unfortunate enough to be in the game. Joe Judge is trying the same BS right now in not announcing whether Mike Glennon or Jake Fromm is starting.
  2. Is it a surprise? The guy is so eager to spend time being "objective" about Cam being lousy that he's admitted to posting on the huddle in this thread while driving in his car.
  3. Foles was a fraud too, but can you honestly say without UNC homer glasses on that Mitchell's play deserved a 24.8 million dollar 5th year option and/or a major contract extension? My first post in the thread said that yes, Nagy's system sucks. But you're at the same time saying that Fields supposively sucks because his stats aren't good and they aren't winning? I also see little to no difference in how both QBs performed in their rookie year, not sure why you're categorizing that one was so much better than the other. If the expectation was that Fields was going to come in on day one an immediately elevate the team to a super bowl contender, that's just ridiculous. It was Nagy after all who signed Andy Dalton in the offseason and lauded Andy as his starter when healthy until it was clear that was a terrible idea. And yes, the Bears are better off paying Fields who has more upside and is on a rookie deal than Trubisky at 25 million plus. Mitchell is better than Darnold and Walker I will concede that, although it isn't saying much. But I can't imagine that he would fare much better in Matt Rhule's poo system either.
  4. Yet he openly campaigned to have mods ban people for saying mean words about Darnold and bends over backwards to come up with excuses for his poo play
  5. Rivera was here for 8 years, not exactly the same situation as Rhule. Sometimes if you know the HC is the wrong one, it’s not a bad thing to admit your mistake and move on. As far as not being able to attract a good coach because of how Rhule was treated with only getting 2 years….what about Kyle shanahan going to the 49ers after giving Chip Kelly one season? Freddie kitchens only got one year and the browns cut bait and clearly upgraded with Stefanski. Mike malarkey only had 2 years in Tennessee, before they hired Mike Vrabel who likely will have his 3rd playoff berth in 3 years. Steve wilks only got 1 year from the cardinals before they ended up getting Kliff kingsbury. I know we have an inferiority complex, but I think we can and will do better than Matt Rhule.
  6. It’s only fitting in a thread about a great accomplishment for any player (much less a QB that has played the majority of his career with our team) that we have a “panthers fan” come into to do some mental gymnastics and say that he’s a bad passer and insinuate it’s not that big of a deal because it’s just “stealing TDs from running backs”. As soon as I saw the thread title I knew what it would evolve to, about as predictable as Matt Rhules press conferences.
  7. Win-loss records are not a QB statistic. If they were then maybe your boy would have gotten a starting job this off-season, or would have had his 5th year option picked up.
  8. No I would realize that he’s a rookie and works with a poo coach that doesn’t design the offense to his strengths. Even with all of that being said, He’s certainly been better than Zach Wilson, and at least on par with Trevor Lawrence so I don’t understand the hyperbole mountaintop that you’re shouting down from.
  9. Someone doesn’t understand how things work
  10. There will be tons of candidates that will want this job because we have an owner with deep pockets who will be open to different approaches. Does everyone forget that our last owner only wanted defensive head coaches that wanted to run the ball for 3 yards and a cloud of dust? And if someone that we offer an interview turns us down who cares? Josh McDaniels turned down the Colts but they arguably got a much better coach in Frank Reich. No coach that’s worth a poo is going to think oh man I can’t coach there because their owner fired Matt Rhule too soon
  11. I don’t blame people for not being thrilled about Rhule so far. What I do think is bonkers is the people who are already demanding that tepper sell the team or spending energy trying to prove that the panthers are his side piece for his real goal of having a pro soccer team.
  12. We went through 6 straight non winning seasons before the 2003 super bowl season/2005 NFC championship and then four more before 4 out of 5 years in the playoffs/the 2015 super bowl run. The ebbs and flows are nothing new to this franchise (and most of the league for that matter). I’m not going to jump ship just because the new owner had a swing and miss on the first head coach he hired.
  13. This is what happens when you lose to the Lions
  14. Heinicke didn’t even get a chance with WFT until Dwayne Haskins flamed out, Kyle Allen broke his leg and one legged Alex Smith couldn’t hold up. They were so unconfident with him that they signed fitzmagic in the off-season as a starter. 4 weeks ago every WFT fan was ready to tank and get the best QB available…now after one big upset over Tampa and narrow wins over our decomposing team and an inconsistent at best Seattle and Vegas team, he’s really the guy that we should have built around? Reminds me a lot of the Kyle Allen win streak in 2009, main difference being that WFT has a better O line.
  15. Yeah it’s all the QB for why NE is winning. Super analysis.
  16. You have popped up in every thread about bringing Cam back before it happened, claiming that it would be idiotic, he's not the answer, etc...and make every excuse under the sun for Sam Darnold's play. It's pretty clear where you side, there's no need to backtrack. Keep throwing around the R word though, that's edgy
  17. You just can't help yourself....backtracking isn't enough, you've got to start throwing the R word around. Take a fuging hike
  18. I'm sure it has a lot to do with how incompetent the team looked for the last month - and all of a sudden came out with one key change and beat the piss out of the team that had the best record in the league. Before you hit the quote button and point out that the other team was without their MVP level QB and best WR, I'll say I know it is an overreaction for sure, but forgive fans for wanting to be excited since we haven't been in a long time.
  19. Another guy who spent last week telling everybody that signing him was a terrible idea, downplays excitement. What a shocker.
  20. You don't have to read external website articles to find Cam haters. You can find a lot of them on this board. They are a little quieter today, but they will be shitting up threads near you soon if there's an incomplete pass or god forbid a turnover.
  21. Yeah you're not bothered at all - just had to offer an "unbiased opinion". Same guy who one week ago today said we need Cam about as much as we need a case of gonorrhea. Let your tears flow.
  22. The fact that you're bothered about that says more about you than it does Cam
  23. The fact that you worry so much about who is a Cam fan versus a panthers fan without understanding that there’s a huge amount of overlap says a lot about where you stand. I’m sorry Kyle Allen didn’t work out for you.
