  1. He went from a top of the world type situation to the kind of junkie you find sawing off catalytic converters for drug money, and then all the way back to a professional career in sports media. He'll tell you himself that he had every physical trait and measurable you could ever want, but he was an arrogant asshole with a massive ego and that's what destroyed him. Yeah biggest bust in NFL history and so on, and he might be wrong about Caleb Williams, but I don't think his opinion is worth dismissing out of hand.
  2. Brown is going to get a bag, hopefully from us.
  3. Hearing the guy tell his story about exactly how and why he fuged up, including the embarrassing details about him getting arrested for breaking into houses and stealing pills out of old ladies' medicine cabinets and poo, leads me to give his opinion at least some weight. e: that's not to exonerate the trainers and medical staff who carelessly pumped him and other players full of opioid painkillers in the slightest
  4. Assuming we ever definitively find out whether the claims in the OP are true, it's not like it's going to drop tomorrow. There won't be a memo from the desk of David Tepper that says "yeah Nicole wanted Stroud". For better or worse Bryce is probably going to be here for a while. I mean he could always turn out to be a serial arsonist or something and get sent on his way, but I doubt that.
  5. Seems like he was battling cancer for the past several years based on Wikipedia. RIP.
  6. People misconstrue no longer celebrating and lauding racism, slurs, etc. as "censorship". Using this logic I should be able to turn on my TV right now and see white actors in black face shucking and jiving to "Dixie", otherwise it's "erasing history".
  7. I liked Hogs/Red Hogs as a reference to the great offensive lines they had in the 80s.
  8. The idea that the only people who are offended by "Redskins" are uptight white liberals is one of those talking points that's been repeated so often that people just kind of accept it as being true even if it's not.
  9. Yep they were threatened with having the lease pulled for what is now known as RFK Stadium because it was on federal land. George Preston Marshall was a very vocal, proud racist and his team was the last to integrate. They would have minstrel shows at halftime and everything.
  10. Man it would be hilarious if this turned out to be true
  11. Ron definitely had man crushes to the detriment of the overall success of the team. Not quite as bad as John Fox who did stuff like sit DeAngelo Williams behind DeFumbles Foster for almost two full seasons, but six of one half dozen of the other.
  12. Remember how long Andrew Norwell sat on the bench behind Amini Silatolu?
  13. You know what I miss That Beavis and Butt-head halftime show that MTV used to air during the Super Bowl, the Butt Bowl
  14. Seeing these dudes next to normal sized humans really drives home how fuging huge NFL players are
  15. Yep it's always an easier sell when they're winning. Watching games with somebody who's completely uninitiated can be fun too. I watched that 2015 Thanksgiving game with some family who doesn't pay any attention to sports, and one of my favorite quotes from the night was "why does he (meaning Tony Romo) keep throwing the ball to the Panthers?" Speaking of 2001, that season was my first in-person game. I think we lost 21-20 against the Jets and I still have the ticket stub:
  16. Imagine you've never watched football in your life, but your favorite pop star is dating a football player so you become a fan of his team and start paying attention to the sport. In year one your new favorite team is in the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, in Charlotte...
  17. It's Juan, he's just dicking around. But yeah Luvu was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal season and is 27, so he's probably in his prime right now. He's not our secret any more and is probably going to get a bag, hopefully from us.
  18. I was for sure butthurt when Peppers walked and then kicked our ass up and down the field in 2010 when we played the Bears, but to still be mad about that 14 years later is extra. He even came back and finished his career here, like what else do you want.
  19. I believe that guy on here who swears he totally had Purdy nailed as a champion QB pre-draft more than Rhule.
  20. A lot of Nazis fuged off to South America, so I assume you're saying this is a good thing.
  21. Why are people on this board talking about our head coach having an encyclopedic knowledge of aughts porn like it's a bad thing.
