Smith: "Evan Cooper wasn't qualified to have a job"
CRA replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not getting into the actual argument itself….but being in or not in the HOF has nothing to do with a person being shitty or not. there are horrible people in the HOF. there are horrible people in every sports HOF. There are horrible people every niche and breakdown of people you can name. -
I'm just trying to decide if I should start Foreman in fantasy. If I do, I'm watching the game. If I don't....I probably will just check the score. There is no way what occurs tonight will be good football.

Is Burns really worth backing up a Brinks truck?
CRA replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
No. He isn't. and we have fallen into that trap before. The but we have to overpay him because what would life be like with out him. We don't have anything. You can go out and rent a one dimensional pass rusher if you need one. -
Cam only had 2 OCs really when healthy. Chud and Shula. Mike Shula was with Cam from 2011 to 2017. Shula pretty much kept a lot of what Chud was doing too when he left. I’m not part of the group that claims we shouldn’t of ran Cam. I was only cool drafting him if we used him how we used him overall. It wasn’t perfect but I think it is overplayed that we didn’t use Cam right. We used him the only way he was going to be special and he was. It was a fun ride until he got hurt. Lot of OCs wouldn’t of let Cam be special. Ron’s guys did. *and his injuries had nothing to do with running. Mike Shula era with Cam is the best window of Panther football in our history. I also think Chud is no better an OC than Shula. He just got the luxury of Cam making him look good because the league had no clue what to do with Cam at first. I don’t think OC was the biggest issue nor running Cam. Think it was merely the front office not putting the bodies on the field if I was ranking all the issues.

The key to tanking is Ben McAdoo and our playcalling. We need Ben to be Ben. And not have random games where he calls games where we are a rushing team that passes off it. He accidentally does that on occasion. What we need to tank is for Foreman to have just 3 carrys like he did the first half first Cincy. Yeah, PJ is going to stink when you give it to your RB 3 times in a first half.

They gambled on young talent and they have played to the QBs strengths as he has developed. And they rode through the rough patches with him. A lot of parallels with Allen and a young Cam.

Robbie Anderson getting blasted on Twitter. Negative yards on the day, dropping wide open passes and getting Hopkins TD catches called back.

Justin Fields 61 yard rushing touchdown
CRA replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lawerence is already in his 2nd offensive system. Had horrific talent around him year 1 and has upgrade to below average. And Trevor went to one of the worst spots we have seen in probably decades. and the Jags have been up in the 4th every game this year but 1 (Philly). Trevor hasn’t been bad. Trevor went to a bad team. What you are seeing is normal. Too many folks are comparing young QBs that went to horrible spots to ones that went to good spots….and thinking the results should be the same if the QBs are any good. -
Justin Fields 61 yard rushing touchdown
CRA replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fields has below average skill talent around him and is already in his second offensive system. That’s a Bears issue more than a Fields issue. *and he did break the rushing record -

Whatelse do you want us to do? Put in someone just as bad?

Panthers can only manage to bottle up complete trash run games. If you are competent at running the ball our D falls apart

Brian Burns is getting destroyed in the run game today.
CRA replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean we reportedly just turned down 2 first round picks for a one dimensional DE that we are about to overpay (designate a butt load load of cap space) given his handicap in the run game. It’s not exactly out of left field to be critical of him today given what was rumored. -
I’m going to root for the cluster fug and the CFB to deal with this Big 10 Champ IN SEC Champ IN 2 1 loss SEC teams, 1 loss ACC champ, 1 loss PAC 12 champ, 1 loss Big 12 champ Eyeball test vs conference champ drawn in the sand.

Not arguing that. Committee has some precedents they have set before on how they evaluate and reward teams though….and they to an extent have to think about the years past and ahead. that’s why I think they would prefer life be easy on them and those other teams lose a game to weaken that conference title. Let’s say Clemson wins out. UNC wins out beating another ranked team. Then gets a conference title over a top 10ish team. You got a power 5 conference champ in UNC with one loss…..getting left out in favor of 2 one loss teams with no conference champ. Committee would hate to have to go there lol.
-
True. Same for Clemson. But I guess that is what you got to pull for if you are UNC or Clemson fan. Not that I want to see it given the Tigers got no business playing one of those teams this year. I’m sure the committee would just prefer one of the 2 teams lose prior so that ACC title win doesn’t look good on paper.
-
ACC could get weird. If Clemson and UNC win out…..could a one loss ACC Champ get in beating what likely would be a top 10ish team in the conference title? 1 loss ACC Champ teams have gotten in several years to the CFP. @LinvilleGorge guess you got to pull for Clemson the next couple weeks lol
-
They should. Gamecocks, Vandy. Missouri is the toughest left.
-
First year of the CFP era without Bama or Clemson. I guess chaos and losses could still happen though. But losses generally need to be early to get in.
-
Probably true. If you had Bama ahead of TCU last week. Why wouldn’t you have Tenn this week. It’s basically the same thing
-
if Bama wins this they aren’t getting jumped by TCU. Bama already ahead and it’s a win over the #10 team on the road UGA Ohio St Michigan Bama TCU
