Technically speaking, Fields has been a better QB than Bryce Young in the NFL. I mean it’s bottom rung comparing by BY isn’t better. Thats what I don’t get about the talk this week. We don’t have a QB edge

Nah, only thing that stopped Waller was his snap count and being eased back in. there was a random play vs Dallas where Horn replaced Jackson but Canales has said they can’t really do that with Horn outside of a random play. It’s on some round table interview. Horn can’t travel because the rest of the D can’t play the man coverage required for Horn to travel.

We have never in Horn’s existence done such. Seems like super low odds to think could happen. Canales explained the other week why Horn won’t and can’t travel in their D outside some random play here or there

He will probably be fine if Rico goes nuts. But if not, Bryce operates on about a coin flip scenario of being horrible any given Sunday pretty much regardless of opponent.

and they don’t get paid and teams don’t keep playing them. They bounce around rosters as depth…..

I mean, all that has to happen is Rico isn’t Bo Jackson and Fields doesn’t turn it over. last 2 games and the Jets win/loss record I think has people confused about the gap between the 2 teams

Sanders rushed for 74 per game, then Swift rushed for 65 per game the next year…..and in 2024 Hubbard rushed for 73 per game. Hubbard paired with the highest paid OL is plenty for Hurt to run read option and make some easy passes with and THAT is going to outpace a BY offense (which the last 2 isn’t Rico games)

They went the playoffs before that with Hurts being the #1 rusher on the team. The highest paid OL and Hubbard would be plenty for Hurst to lead a more productive O than Bryce. He doesn’t have to be a take it to the house RB to out pace Bryce Young lol

Bro, the highest paid OL AND Chubba is a dang good setup. That's what Bryce had last year. Rico Dowdle doing some historical poo for 2 weeks this year, doesn't mean Hubbard isn't a rock solid RB. See.....this is what Bryce defending does. So much gymnastics that you end up where you just did. Hurts was going to playoffs and Super Bowls with Miles Sanders at RB. Saquon just icing on a cake that was fine without it.

some QBs can do more than pass and it's about being a QB. So you can't cut the diversity in everyone's game out of the equation just because Bryce's size makes it all a bad idea for him. First down is a first down. TD is a TD. If some QBs are very good at picking those up on the ground they matter. Chains move. O keeps getting produced. Dudes like Trevor got more first down picks up the ground than any Panther RB. Being built to go up the middle, take got contact, get a first and survive matters. You don't have to be Lamar Jackson for ability and attributes to do things besides passing to matter.

why rig the scenario with the "as a passer" tag. I mean, I assume you do that because Bryce needs help in the argument. If we are just talking players and no contacts? I mean, give me Young over Russell Wilson. That's it. I'd put him on par w/ Penix, Fields, McCarthy and Rattler, so that's a wash. Give me everyone else over Bryce. And I'm not handicapping the other players as passing only because when you start doing that it's really meaningless.

he doesn't have the arm to make all the throws, the premier QBs make. That's a fact. So there are plays that won't exist for him that will for others. To act like every QB in the NFL can make all the same throws isn't a stance anyone actually takes.....yet folks are doing it for Bryce.

Because 2 coaches have not allowed him to do it. And in a real Hail Mary scenario the throw is further than the clip shown and likey doesn’t allow a clean setup. You can’t go over the top. So you have to let WRs get downfield and the technical throw is going to be further and as you have to drop back to by time and likely won’t have an ideal setup.

I remember one of Aaron Rodgers big hail marys was caught by the son of a Panthers coach. Rodgers. A TE. Hail marys are that. They aren't thrown to Tyreek Hill burning a DB. They are jump ball scrums to piles of humans. We got dudes to pull off that simple play....just not the QB to get it there.

I think some choose to give oxygen and attention to bad tiny voices. Pretending those tiny voices are the collective voice is whack. That's my take and it extends to all topics. Cam Newton is my GOAT. I called for PJ Walker over Sam Darnold. Bryce Young has been about as unsuccessful as any top QB in the NFL history...and THAT is why the masses talk about him.

I'm at least in the running for Bryce's biggest hater. I was stanning for Cam before it was cool, he is my all time GOAT. Cam is how I got my kids into football. Most Bryce's haters are me. And to pretend otherwise, and try to make that the convo.... is whack. pretending some small horrible voices that don't deserve oxygen is what is "really going on" is whack.

I'll be honest, Dave went to such great coaching efforts to get us in position for the hail mary attempt I was actually sort of excited to see what Bryce had in him. I felt for sure Dave was going to flat out get that debate settled. I mean, how could he not. And then.......all that for a Tommy Tremble screen lol.

Frank and Canales have both told everyone Bryce can't throw the hail mary.
