Yes but I'm exhausted and it's hard to care after the last 4 years. I hope this game gets us the new coaching staff we desperately need next month.

Come on Baker and win a game or 3 lol

Meh, we got enough mediocre for the moment. Lot's of people looked good with BB and nowhere else. They kind of needed a shake up so good for them.

Anthony Richardson declares for the draft

Get a better staff and draft this guy. Like the idea of a Menshaw to bridge a year or so. -
Person looks at Mayfield, Rhule and "revisionist history"
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm fine with passing on Jones and Pickett, no real loss there. Watson was a real scare. Rhule's problem was always Rhule. His mouth being an endless pit of BS that he can't shut was an issue and his complete lack of meaningful ability, skill or understanding led to his failure. It just showed in how he handled the QB position in his time here.- 39 replies

I can't wait to not see any of them here next year. 1 down, 2 to go with 5 games left. Out with the old and in with the new. How bad he played this year was a bit surprising. So much worse than his normal.

That's not all on Rhule and too many of those people are still around making decisions like Burns' new contract...

Report: Teams are doing homework on Jim Harbaugh
Waldo replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Great coach but his personality can be an huge issue. Not sure about his recent work with QBs. Feels like it could swing either way with him. I wonder if he would stick around for more than 3 years and if he would want full control. I'm more of a fan of shared power with cohesion or finding different people. -
It was bad judgement to take that job. Ron should have helped him see that. I'm not really impressed with his decision making. Old school and short sighted, good in fundamentals bad in planning. People are putting a lot on him that he was forced into but he put himself in that situation for whatever reason.

Didn't Keim pick most if Wilks staff before he even was hired? The Rosen pick not having any say, like zero input? It's almost like Wilks made a terrible decision to take a job where he would never succeed and not being able to conceptually understand that fact...

It was also my understanding that it was bonds to fund to the project and not bonds to insure the project. Link Thanks for playing. Sorry it took me so long to find the effort to do it for you. -
It seemed like they played it safe while ignoring defects. I'm not sure how much was Ballard and Irsay (sure looks a lot like them which was my commne tabout him needing a revitalization) but that would have to be discussed because if he didn't want to develop a QB then we don't need him. I never want to see Fox/Rivera ball again, it deserves to be a relic of the past where it shined.
-
Results? No but I wouldn't have to watch another game of Ron/Fox ball. That's enough for me, that's my floor after leaving the Rhule level. I think Reich would do a decent job on offense and would need a really good DC hire. Nice 4 to 5 year run and make some playoff runs if we can get the QB situation improved. I think Reich is a better coach but he also looks like he needs a big time revitalization after the Indy funk. Defiantly not my top choice but over Wilks for sure. I don't expect the wheels to fall off. I expect more of the same. I do think Wilks is a great interim but that's also what makes him ugh long term for me.

Matt Rhule: “I wish I never took the job”

I'm hoping for a real show. I only feel bad for the kids that can't get out now. -
Matt Rhule: “I wish I never took the job”
Waldo replied to CashNewton22's topic in Carolina Panthers
He just won't STFU and I love it now he is Nebraska's problem. So this is the problem with making him the head of PR too? Never would have seen it coming from The Brand... -
The biggest difference is we have all sat through years of Wilks type ball and if I never have to see another game of that after this year's last game than I'm happy with that outcome even if it's not the outcome I really desire. plus, I don’t think Reich will be around long term with his health and age.
-
I would rather have Reich. At least he has won at some point as a HC. I think the only time Wilks looks like a good option is as an interim HC for a coach like Rhule who shouldn't even have been in the NFL. The pipedream is that we bypass the obvious flip of no experience to enough experience to know what we are getting isn't good enough but better than option 1. I'm trying not to get excited about the pipedream but more years of Wilks is a hard sell for me.

When did you figure out Rhule was a fraud?

Right here. I heard his other pre-Panthers dribble but this sealed the deal for me. -
David Tepper ‘Under Investigation’ Over Public Money
Waldo replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
HAHAHAHA. You sweep under the rug Tepper's actions and intent while focusing on the obvious civil intent that is just fallout. IDGAF about RH. I already called them incompetent and that was their part in this mess. Tepper played his part and you can rant about some poedunk city all you want but that doesn't change that fact. The favorable situation was Tepper getting a deal way beyond typical and did so in a way the circumvented the state oversight very intentionally. His team pitched it to RH that way. -
Scott Fowler interview with Matt Rhule ‘fans sealed his fare’
Waldo replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
And here I was thinking I couldn't like him less and then he digs deeper. I can't belive Nebraska hasn't bailed on him yet. He just can't shut up and do his job... which is great now that it's no longer our problem. -
David Tepper ‘Under Investigation’ Over Public Money
Waldo replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
So you haven't read anything. I don't have time to break it down extensively but what you are saying is way off base. There was an older thread on the updated fact Tepper's company was the bond holder in all of this so the bonds that were never released would have come from Tepper's company lol. Tepper knew what he was looking for, how he wanted to do the deal and went to where that would happen. It's all on RH and Tepper from everything I have read, RH's incompetence and Tepper's desire to do a shady deal that was heavily favored his interest even beyond most stadium deals out there. So he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar for doing some shady crap and the county & state are showing up to slap his hands with hefty fees or fines.
