I predict I will sleep through this one and be very happy about my life choices.

Good. He will throw his weight around and people will leak the crap he made them do and we can all finally see who did what in this mess. All of those people have contracts so they are getting paid either way. He has no clue about how any of this works

Being a Panthers fan is like being (fill in the blank)...

Yeah that is the quality level I have witnessed from a Tepper team. I have also witnessed that smell so what is wrong with all of us lol -
Moton at LT would just be more of the same to me, I have seen enough to think ickey is better than Moton will ever be at LT. Neither are well built for this blocking scheme and I think Ickey is just a better version of the same mold while Moton has the experience. Either blow it up or waste value making players do a position change that is more damage control than an actual good idea.
-
Which is why I said ditch Moton and flip him over there. Whatever, just moving him to OG at this point is a huge failure because he could play LT in a different scheme.

Addicted to the need to huff fumes from a portapotty at a music festival in August. -
Hard pass for me on forgoing a LT value to have him play a position that could be filled so easily every year in the draft and free agency. They should have traded him as a LT when they switched the oline scheme and he no longer fit that position.
-
Then spend the year building up Ickey at LT and trade his but for a first. He looked worth a 1st at the end of last year. OGs shouldn't be that expensive and it's not like Ickey can't play in all schemes out there.
-
Why, both Moton and Ickey are very tradable in this scheme. Whatever, no one in charge will do anything halfway decent so it's just us blowing smoke anyways. There isn't a player on the entire roster I really would care if they traded, it's just the pain of knowing any draft assets received will be wasted in the end anyways that makes it pointless I guess.
-
Yup, just go with the younger and cheaper clone. Eat some of his cap and get some picks. Win win
-
No trade Moton as a RT at the end of the year and flip the cheaper rookie to RT, or build up his value as a LT again and just trade him for people that fit better into their desired scheme (what they should have done when they committed to it this year). The only LT option went on IR. Maybe he can do LT in this scheme next year but that is a whole other issue. As bad as he is this year, he is still the best option moving forward and if they changed the blocking scheme then it's not a huge negative like it is in their currant mess. There are plenty of OGs outside of the first, let alone top 10, to draft every year. I would rather see him get a shot at RT than LG moving forward.
-
So much value lost. Just run last years stuff and trade him away as a LT at the end of the year or better yet flip him to RT and unload Moton for some picks they could use to replace the OG and LT spots. I just see them ruining value if they are moving in a different direction from the guys they currently have. He can play LT, just not in this scheme and that should have a lot more value than just an OG you can find in the 3rd...with better people picking.

4 out of 5 is still way better

I liked the questions part but that's about where we split on all this.

Tool the oline to its strengths and not Bryce's and the offense gets better. That might be at Bryces expense if he can't adapt but honestly I would take that and not look back. Go back to a power run game and see if they can coach Bryce up. It's basically what you saw from Wilks last year and likely whoever they brought in to replace this coaching crew unless it's more of the same. I don't think there is enough skill, time or resources to build around Bryce with his needs. Just take what you have and try to salvage the rest. They have been operating on the inverse of that and it's 100% failure and it was all avoidable in the firdt place.

If you are employed by Carolina, Thursday is a must win

And I 100% agree about the subtraction not helping much. They have been doing that and ending up worse for years. They need quality additions yet they make so little of them. -

Yes but is there any sign that is close yet? Many here see it as a need but does anyone in the organization that could make change? IDK and I haven't seen any sign they are deviating from more of the same failures. That is their MO, clueless commitment with zero competency. It's a poo stew and they serve it up every week for years now. SSDD until I actually see somethint change, even the ritual sacrifice of buying more time. It's so bad that people are blaming the fans lol -
Is this fanbase not suited for a rookie QB?
Waldo replied to BrisbanePanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
When he could use his freakishness he was absolutely clutch. When that ended so did his clutchness. And yes it wasn't always through the air but when he was healthy we always had a chance to win. Sadly your not wrong about the injury. Running was always a giant part of his game and that was the begining of the end. It was still fun his first game back but that also had to do with how bad everything had gotten and just having fun for a game again. -

I stopped selling tickets under face value. I'm stuck with that bill anyways but I don't have to help them fill seats if they can't produce at a level that allows me to not sell at a discount. I did it for the Texans game and said fug it moving forward. Thank god the Cowboys fans were dumb enough to massively overpay for my tickets before the season started. I hate everything about this but I'm not helping Tepper beyond the 2 years I am stuck with at this point. I sure as hell am not wasting a whole day to see this quality of football. -

Thursdays are terrible quality games and these are 2 not good teams. All I know is it's going to be unwatchable and likely 1 if not both teams playing very bad football. It's going to take a lot worse than just bad football to crank the pressure up. They had 2 years of really bad football under Rhule and still signed up for year 3. Again, still no signs anyone in the organization is at a breaking point yet where we see change. -
I am not impressed with Brown either. He is extreamly raw and it's another Brady situation at best again with him. Frank just came here and continued his spiral into retirement. It's exactly what it looked like when he came here. Even Ron had a small window of mediocraty before he continued his own downward spiral with his new tram, Frank did not. The entire staff and front office should be purged. But that just leads back to the biggest problem, the Teppers.
