Hell no! I'd rather ride with Andy Dalton this year and start over in 2025 than to see that goober in a Panthers jersey for 1 minute.

As if starting over with another #1 will be any real difference, different crew same crap since 2019. Might as well start trying to win now and stop pretending that these people do much good until they actually start doing that. At least if they went in that direction the football would be somewhat watchable vs watching them try to tank when they probably can't even do that right either.

  2. If you are going to admit Bryce is what he looks like then find a better option. Wilson looks headed in the sub 3000 yards area permanently while Bryce didn't look like he could break through that. Hell go sign Baker first.

  3. Working out won't fix Young's amazing lack of physical ability. He isn't quick, he doesn't have a good arm and those two really make being small that much more of an issue.

Young should be made fun of, he is the laughing stock of QBs and the NFL really right now even if it was a low effort hit piece. Miami signing Tua to a giant contact or the QB from USC making a giant ass out of himself in the draft process would sure help Young but as it stands he is a pinata in an extra small jersey. All those years of laughing about the Jets and Browns doing garbage moves and people here expect this team to get a pass because it's their team? I sure as hell would be laughing at Houston if they ended up with Bryce. I still will read it latter because laughing at Young is a lot more fun the believing he isn't a bust.

  4. He promoted a GM that helped tank the team because he likes him, just like all of the other failures he has personally liked. Sure, believe what you want but it sure looks like he is just learning to make another kind of mess which is absolutely more of the same. Prove it or it's just more of the same.

So far? Nope. Show me a complete house cleaning on the next go round and we can talk actual change. This one is more of a face lift sadly.

  5. Yes. A 5th round pick that is healthy has a better shot at contributing. Get something now before he goes on IR again and they get nothing. He hasn't even played 50% of the games his entire career and . If they can get a 5th just take it. He played in 6 games last year, hell take a 7th at this point.

  6. You don't need to draft a guy to have Young insurance. I really don't think Bryce can beat out Dalton yet. If it's going that bad then sit Young, let Dalton play some in the middle and then play Young again at the end. That is likely a top 10 pick anyways and very well could be a top 5 easily because it's not like Dalton can last an entire year. Just break up the suck, give Young yet another opportunity late and just go draft a QB with NFL physical ability or sign something better in free agency.

If Bryce is near as bad as he was in 23 then it's hard to justify playing him the entire year if they are actually trying to build something here if he is playing that poorly. If we did have a WR that could improve how would we know if it's 23ish Young again? Young isn't the only guy who needs to be evaluated and to improve and there is 16 games of film. If he isn't growing by week 6 to 8 then it's a real long shot it will ever happen.

  7. He is going to have to be a miracle worker...and that is not what he looks like. He looks like a really good QB coach and meh OC. Verge already nailed it. My guess is those 2 made promises and if they can't get it out of Young we could be getting a new GM, HC and QB next year so that is a nice consolation prize to another offseason of hope for the best and you damn sure had better prepare for the worst.

  8. Said it in another thread. The more I looked into him the more he looked like the Young of OCs in this crop of candidates.

And Tepper doesn't care about us or our opinions, he probably only lets them tell him about the good stuff while they redact everything else. Brutal yet no lies detected.

  9. The more I think about it...I think they just hired the Young of OCs lol. So much hype but when you break it down it will be looked back as a 'why didn't anyone see that obvious stuff, like it was right there but all that hype'

These are not the same receivers Brady had year one in Tampa. Chris Godwin coming off an ACL tear, Mike Evans at the 30 or over mark, no AB.  They had a decent cast around Baker but nothing more.

We have not much decent in house and Morgan's evaluation skills have been very questionable in his time here. The Bucs put up 30 in 2 games against us and we had the 29th scoring D (that's 24 a game on average).

I would take the Bucs WRs over ours any day. They had 2+ 1000 yard WRs and we had Thielen who just cracked 1000 near retirement and next was Chark at 525. And Godwin had 10 more yards coming off that injury than Thielen.

What do y’all think about this? Idk much about him at all. Why is he considered a good offensive mind?

He is good at getting more out of his QBs. He doesn't really run a good offense tho. It's a bet that Young will once again be the difference maker so...

  12. The more I looked the less I like it. At first it was all the work he did with QBs which is impressive but his offense with the weapons he had last year was not really that good. Seattle not even brining him in for an interview is a red flag.

DC with Peters and I asume Ben Johnson is an A. This is looking like a C- and it could end up being worse. So about as expected in the end.

  13. Ron was the cultural change guy up there in DC and in the end Dan selling had much more effective cultural change. You know what changes culture the most? Winning. IDK what Vrabel brings to the table on creating an effective offense and he literally just couldn't do that in Tennessee with a more productive QB (1000 less yards in 8 starts and 1 game with 6 passes).

The more I think about it the more it looks like the wrong direction. They need someone that can make the offense work regardless of the parts. That doesn't look like Vrabel to me.

Everyone here that knows exactly how much input he had in the building of this roster, raise your hands. No one? Not one soul? Yea didn’t think so.  A lotta assuming and overreacting as usual.

    Also a lot of denial.

It's funny because they same crap was said about Fritterer and it was 100% spot on. But this time...

  15. Even BB took the Browns and then Jets (for a very short time) jobs first. Some of these guys haven't learned as much as they need to succeed so someone is taking it.

It could still turn into an uglier mess but they will get someone. I still think they wait for their dream HC that is still in the post season race and end up with whatever they can get at the end. Eviro and a big old dud of an OC seem like the most likely outcome in the end IMO. I was hoping the fate would be know by now but it looks like a wait in store for us all.

I think the lack of 1st overall in 2024 means we can’t start that turnaround until 2025.

Or the fact the Owner and now GM are still issues too. 2024 is likely dead. It would start in 25 if this crew gets the boot next.

If the qb stinks and you spent a ton of capital on him and insist on giving him 3 full years then that turnaround is a pipe dream

He has to make it through year 2 first. He isn't nearly the biggest problem in the building either. Tepper looks fine with the culture he built and it's just the results he doesn't like.

We all thought this guy would be a cao wizard. Maybe he would've worked out if we were actually acquiring adequate talent. I don't know. The whole organization is fuged up and that points to the man ultimately in charge of it all.

Sounds like he thought his input on tallent was as poor as his contracts. He was needlessly backloading stuff just to impress Tepper. Someone in the tread had a tweet of him being involved/vocal in some recent player acquisitions.

I agree that under normal circumstances a team can become competitive in 2 offseasons if they have a competent FO and a decent qb already.  I know we do not have a competent FO and I'm unsure about whether we have a decent qb at the moment. So yeah, we a screwed for the foreseeable future.

We are screwed until next year. We don't have anything much more than Brown really. I'm already hoping for another one and done and they haven't even hired the HC yet.

What is there with this team that makes you believe that they will be able to turn this mess into a competitive team in that short of time frame?  We've been waiting for that since 2016. It's not happening unless Tepper decides to let someone competent run things. Do you see that happening anytime soon?

Lol I never said this team has any of the prerequisites to make that happen. It's just 2 years away if they ever do .
