50% of those nominees were Panthers 1st round draft picks.

The folks on Mint St will see this as evidence that he can be good, and will spend the next two years figuring out how to get him consistent.

I’ll say this about DC. He’s willing and able to change and adjust game to game.
It’s a big reason we’ve won some of these games. Opponents game planned for one thing and DC came in with something else.

Is it DC not calling the routes or Bryce not throwing them when we call them. I honestly don't know but am starting to think it might be a DC problem
He said he wouldn’t call them until they could execute them in practice. With that said, the deep shots have always been there. Bryce just wouldn’t throw them.

Bryce just plays better in domes.

Canales addressed this in his presser the other day.
He said they will call more explosive pass plays in games once they can execute them in practice.
Bryce isn’t hitting them in practice so DC isn’t calling them in the game.

You're basing this off of one season as a starting QB? The offensive line he had was terrible, yet he still threw for nearly 4000 yards. He has a big arm. Granted he has some faults but So did Darold, so did Mayfield but they changed.
Winston had several years of gunslinging as you say. Howell had one season. The only reason they moved on from him was falling into Daniels.
I think of everyone on this list Howell has as many good qualities as any.
I’d give Howell a shot over any of those other options.-

Exactly, sounds hyperbolic and idiotic, doesn't it? That's what reading 80% of this board feels like.
I wonder what Mr. PFF is doing now?-

I couldn’t care less about the HC right now.
He’s done some good things and I think he knows Bryce is not the guy.
Lets figure that out and then see if DC is the right guy long term.

Tide is definitely shifting. A lot of Bryce defenders across different social media are finally giving up on him.
We we are 1-8 his play can hide behind the rest of the team. We start winning and it’s harder to disguise. A lot of his fans were waiting on him to deliver and were disappointed.
And that’s because in the end, fans care more about winning than individual players.
Yep, been watching this happen all night.
I think watching a 2nd round rookie on a bad team, playing his 2nd game, completely outplay Bryce was too much of a reality check for people to ignore.

I don't think Bryce has changed a single thing about his game in 3 years. So WTF are our coaches even doing with him at practice? They've had 3 full offseasons to work wit him, and this is the product after 3 years?
I remember Cam talking about coaches and player development.Basically, coaches are so busy installing the game plan, getting guys to understand the plays, and getting the starters ready to play, that they have no time to work with players on ‘basics’. It’s up to the players to do that themselves.
BY must think his game is fine or he’s just unable to change it.

I hear you, but I don’t think a few more screen plays would have made much difference.
We’re not scoring 20+ points without some kind of effective pass game.

Looking online, there is a big change in the fan base after this game. A lot of people finally realizing who he is as a player.

The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.
Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.
We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.
We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!
Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.
Anyways here are some positive stats.
Most Accurate QB on...
20+ Yard Throws
1. Drake Maye (79.2%)
2. Sam Darnold (79.2%)
3. Bryce Young (75.0%)10-19 Yard Throws
1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%)
2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%)
3. Drake Maye (80.7%)0-9 Yard Throws
1. Drake Maye (92.9%)
2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%)
3. Bryce Young (91.7%)@FantasyPtsData
I love winning games as much as anyone, but when it comes to discussing this team’s ability to win championships, QB play is our biggest obstacle.0-9 yard throws: 91.7% (3rd-best) I love check downs.
10-19 yard throws: 57.4% (2nd-WORST. Kyler Murray is 3rd worst ). This is where your money is made as a passer. He can’t be this bad and expect to have a long career.
20-plus yard throws: 75.0% (3rd-best) How many attempts is this? He rarely throws deep unless his guy is wide open.
Maybe Bryce Young could be elite if he were tall enough to see the whole field-

Ron's two seasons he took to figure it out would be massive successes compared to the 2018-Present period. Those 6 and 7 win seasons look pretty great now.
Do you honestly think he will jump up to a 10+ win year in 2026? That's what Ron did.
Of course not. Like I said. Ron was way more experienced coming in. That’s why he had a better record. He still had to figure things out to make the jump to 10+.I don’t know if DC will make it. His lack of experience around the league may be a big problem for him. 7 years with Pete Carrol and then one year in Tampa. Not a lot of reference points to draw from.

Canales is just inconsistent week to week sometimes, we see a lot of good and a lot of bad. I think that can just be chalked up to growing pains of a probably too young NFL Head Coach. I still like him, even with his faults, and he deserves to pick his own QB for some continuity with the team.
This. He became a HC too early. If we want to see who he can be, we have to give him a few years to figure it out.It took Ron a few years and he had much more experience than DC.
Oh, and he needs a QB.

Ding ding. He and the staff know this which is why they focus so much on the short game.Remeber the ATL game his first season when he had all those INTs? I think that is when he realized he couldn’t deliver the ball fast enough.

Decent stats and this is a really good timeframe to show. That being said, not #1 overall stats and still need to see more from him to commit long term but was good seeing him finally get a road W against a good D today.
Those stats put him at the bottom of the league. If not for a terrible jets offense, we would have lost today.
This team can’t win on Bryce’s arm. Slow the run game down, and the panthers O has nowhere to go.

That's great, now show me how many turnovers and how much of either came in garbage time.
The score was 6-13. There was no garbage time in that game.-

Yep, how poor of Bryce to lead this team to a win with a larger margin of victory than the Steelers, Buccaneers, and Broncos. Since so many of you would trade him instantly for Rodgers, Nix or Hurts then how do you explain that?
C'mon, bring out the mental gymnastics, clearly the only thing that matters is the QB, everything else is irrelevant right?
Bryce: 15-25 for 138 yds.
Tyrod Taylor was 10 of 22 for 126 yards. He didn’t even play the full game.I think Tyrod is a fair comp for Bryce. They are the same tier of QB.

2 years off. Dont expect much.
He’ll have to be rotated in very slowly or he’ll hurt something else.
