So the solution is to do what? Buy our way out? If it was that easy every team would be a juggernaut.
The culture is established by management and the players. If management is bad they draft bad players and that's your culture. Its is deeply rooted in this organization and has been for a very long time.
No, not buy our way out. Hire a HC that can whip these players into shape and give them something to play for. Have you forgotten how the team played under Wilkes?

The team needs a culture change.
We need a HC that will come in and smash skulls. A guy that knows how to win and has the creds to demand respect.
After that, we need a QB that is the same type of leader. A guy who can put the game on his back and demand the respect and effort of the players around him.
None of that is easy, but we can’t draft our way out of a terrible culture.

A 0.0 on 10 pass block snaps is insane. If things slow down later today I'm hoping to get a chance to start watching the all-22. The review thread is not going to be fun to have to put together this week.
Someone on YouTube looked at the oline all 22. At times, the patriots were only rushing 3 and getting immediate penetration from all 3 guys.-

I’m still waiting for the mediocrity Tepper promised.

We can be any kind of team. Defensive or offensive. We obviously need the players and coaches to do it.
The idea that an organization can only be one is really silly.

I guess they’re going with the “WRs ran the wrong routes” story instead of putting the blame on Penix.

Cam didn't necessarily disagree with Steve. He experienced the lack of culture here firsthand in his early years as many fans know all too well. His response was that Steve only knows how to be who he is but at the end of the day this is a small market it isn't L.A. or Boston or New York etc. It is Carolina and the team represents two states. And fans have become weary and frustrated and fed up and they need some semblance of hope. It's a tough situation all around.
A crazy stat is that the Charlotte metro area is projected to have the same population as the Boston metro area in 25 years.-

Well, he's half right. This city is soft af. Hell, most of the people here arent from here. And the ones that are, are all wine and cheese crowds. This city doesn't deserve an NFL team.
What does that even mean?We need to fawn over a bad 1st round pick?
The city has never seen a consistent winning team.
What do people have to be excited about?

Prediction: BY gets “hurt” after the team is mathematically eliminated.
he is then traded in the off season.
-
I was very skeptical of Dan when he was promoted, and all my fears are coming true.
I suspect Dan was hired because:
1) Good candidates declined interviews.
2) He was the only candidate who was excited about Bryce and doing everything possible to prove he was a good pick.

Who is the real Bryce? 328 yards for 3 touchdowns leading three scoring drives with only 2 or 3 runs total that is basically carrying this team? Or the guy fumbling and throwing ridiculous interceptions?
This Bryce looks like the franchise. The other Bryce looked like a 4th string QB playing in the 4th quarter of a preseason game with 5 minutes left.
Without those two turnovers the Panthers are winning this game.
Garbage time Bryce playing against prevent defense looks good.Bryce playing against a defense that is trying, is terrible.

So when does Dave and Dan get fired?

Yes and no
If you keep firing GMs and HCs after just a season in charge, you're never going to be able to attract quality talent to replace them.
He had no choice but to give both Morgan and Canales a second season with Bryce from that standpoint alone. If they all suck again this year, which they clearly are, then he can clean house and it won't be a bad look.
No, keeping/promoting DM after firing Fitt was a mistake.
Dan was 2nd in command through all of Fitts mistakes. Those were Dans mistakes too.

The Tepper hate has jumped the shark
Yea, he made some early mistakes, and sure, pushing for Bryce was terrible. But realistically, ever since then, he's actually made some decent decisions, and by all accounts, has stayed out of the football side of things.
Anyone who thought we were a good team going into the season was just fooling themselves, I tried to say it all summer that we still had way too many holes to even be a playoff contender.
But still going after Tepper right now is just dumb, sorry, poo this post away as I'm sure it will be.
Keeping Dan Morgan was a huge mistake.-

I would also like a summary. I only missed the first 20 min of the game and apparently bryce had a fumble 6 and an INT.
Sweet.

SC fan so I might be biased, but Sellers is built different just like Cam was. He can shrug off sacks and then pop out of the pocket and use his ridiculous acceleration to scramble for the first down. One of those things that just cannot be taught and will translate to the NFL. He's 6'3" 240 built like a brick poo-house and is not afraid of contact. He is however, definitely raw as Passer there is zero doubt about that. I think he's had 13 starts in college now? This shouldn't be surprising at all. He has a good arm though and can hopefully improve, seems to have a great head on his shoulders.
Sounds exactly like Anthony Richardson. No thanks.

I firmly believe that ship is sailed. When he came out for his presser, I literally just watched it thinking how the guys in that locker room feel listening to this same poo every week. Sure, there are other shitty players on this roster, and definitely some coaches, but when the one guy on the field whose play can make or break your day is consistently atrocious, where they’re doing poo like Dan shows in this breakdown…. Bro, we’re in year 3 and you don’t recognize they’re in zone and a defender is waiting to break on the pass you just stared down for 2 seconds? And okay, that happens to every QB from time to time, but again, we’re in year 3, and you did it not once, but multiple times in one game. Somebody else shared in a thread yesterday, I think it was, that the Jags didn’t even run anything exotic. They didn’t blitz. They didn’t try to confuse him. They literally ran zone the majority of the game and rushed 4. And the poo he did in this breakdown, especially that throw to Renfrow, looked, from memory, exactly like the picks he threw to Jessie Bates repeatedly. So imagine that guy coming in the locker room and trying to say anything to you. Even if it’s an apology. I don’t want to hear it. You are costing us a chance to win, and if you know you’re not capable of doing better, fall on your sword and take your ass to the bench. That’s what a good teammate would do. A shitty one keeps going out there selfishly doing the same dumb poo he’s been doing. And Dan didn’t even show the scramble to stumble to fumble, which also seems like Bryce has done more times than I’ve ever seen one player do in my life already. It’s just comedic at this point that anyone is still pretending he is anything but what he’s shown to be. I really just wish he would bow out and give the players who are actually doing their job a fuging chance.
If this keeps up, the org is going to have a big problem in that locker room.I could see one or two key guys asking for a trade.

NIL money has changed the college game, particularly at the QB level. There's a character development aspect that isn't happening anymore and not just in leadership, but in the idea that you have to pay the dues, earn your spot and overcome.
And then we ask these half-baked products to come out on opening week in their first year (or second or third even) and take the world by storm. They didn't have to back up Brett Favre or Joe Montana or anyone for that matter. The only one I can think of that had to ride the pine before taking the reins was Love in Green Bay and once he took over for Rodgers he showed maturity and an understanding of not just the game but his place within it.
I know, I know, old fart yelling at the clouds. Yadda yadda.
You’re not wrong.-

Meh the Texans struck gold with Stroud and then showed their normal standards. I couldn't belive that GM did good but he is blowing it now. I would bet he will flourish elsewhere when he walks. Caleb was always going to take time with his mental maturity but at least he has the coaching now. I would take anyone but Richardson over Young in a heartbeat.
The entire list is trash.-

….and only Jayden Daniel’s and Purdy look they will be something.
Maybe JJ McCarthy and Penix.
Stroud seems to be on a extended downward trajectory.
The Panthers chose poorly picking Bryce, but did they ever have a chance given our hypothetical top options were Bryce, CJ, Richardson, and Caleb the following year?
I doubt we would have chosen Jayden with the #1 pick.
In hindsight, our best option was sticking with Baker.

Yeah, They have to know by now that Dalton would win us more games than Bryce.
