No one else wanted the job. Tepper has not been shy about sticking his nose into daily operations. No one else would put up with that shyt.

Yep, it was obvious he was their only option.

They now have to stick with him and Canales for another two years minimum to have a shot at repairing Tepper’s reputation and the teams ability to recruit talent.

  2. Tepper came into this league convinced everyone was dumb and his analytics (pick players like you pick stocks) approach would light up the NFL.

That approach is all he knows and he now knows that approach doesn’t work at all.

He has no idea what to do next. Everything he built his success on is useless in the NFL.

If he doesn’t sell, it will take him at least a decade to figure out how to become mediocre.

Both teams can't evaluate QB's and make bone head moves. They obviously can't evaluate talent at the position.

Put some good players around a QB with natural talent and a quality Oline along with good coaching, and you have something. Both gave up on Darnold and he is tearing it up now.

Looks like a completely different player. Both the Jets and Panthers haven't won sh%t for years. And probably won't win squat for years to come.

Donald is a stud and just needed that kind of team and coaching to get it out of him. Both teams couldn't  provide that.

Jets have sh%t owner ship and it works it's way all the way down the organization. Panthers have sh%t ownership also. Making bonehead moves between hiring coaches and signing players effects everything.

Pisses me off when I have to watch a QB we gave up on succeed for another team while we totally suck.

The bigger piece of the puzzle here is time. Darnold obviously needed time to figure things out.

The other stuff absolutely helps, but nothing helps more than experience.

Some guys just take longer to put it together.

Tepper gives up way too easily.

Nah, I saw a replay during halftime and you could see his calf ripple as the tendon tore at his ankle and shot up his lower leg.  It was gross, but also interesting.

Not faking it.  But it's time for the NFL, The Browns, everyone to move on from Watson and let him enjoy his $240 million bucks.

Great timing for him then. Perfect excuse to ride off with his millions.

Where he may have been fooled us the GM hire. I know that I've stated that Morgan has showed some promise, but when I see things like refusing to shop Chuba, after you drafted Brooks, I have to ask myself is he not taking something out the page of the Fitterer playbook. Everybody, but for rookies need to be up for sale, not necessarily dealt mind you, but up for discussion.

DM is Fitt. The two described themselves as best friends who were constantly talking and hanging out.

There is no way DM wasn’t behind a lot of our moves the past few years.

DM and Canales were hired because no one else wanted the job.

I agree to an extent but if we keep losing, and that’s a real possibility with the mounting injuries and defensive struggles, there’s a good chance DJ won’t be making plans to stick around beyond this season. In that case, I say we definitely should consider trading him for by the deadline. Let’s face it - it’s going to take some time to build this team into a winner. We’re not just a player or two away either. What’s the use of holding onto a valuable player who may not be around after this year anyway when we could possibly net draft capital that will help our team in the long run?

I get that, but this team will lose all hope if we do that.

I don’t know if we’ll get more wins, but we at least need to be fighting for them.

Is an extra 4th round pick worth what that trade will do to that locker room?

Would you really be willing to throw a blank check at Diontae Johnson tho for example?

Could backfire badly and you let him walk for free.  They should sign him literally right now because he'll just get expensive in the off season. Or just decide to go elsewhere if we keep losing.

Would you pay big bucks to Chubba and Diontae and Horn??? I doubt we keep all 3 realistically.

95% chance Diontae will walk after this season. Horn…who knows.

However, trading any of these guys now is a signal to the rest of the locker room that the org has thrown in the towel…again.

We need to move away from that kind of attitude. It doesn’t work.
