  1. It does, but I still think it's unlikely we move him. Also we don't HAVE to get 2 firsts if we agree to another level of compensation.
  2. Probably aren't trading him. Unless we give him permission to talk to other teams about a contract extension (like Lamar Jackson last year), we are keeping him. The time to trade him is either before the draft, during is unlikely, after is pointless.
  3. Moton is one of the few players on the team worth keeping/extending. Tack on another 2 or so years to the deal and spread the hit out more, not hard and everyone wins. I can't understand the logic of trying to fix the line by getting rid of the best player on it...
  4. By all accounts Reich was a great dude, but I think the game passed him by.
  5. One thing I find encouraging at least, and what is different from Rhule and Reich, is that he isn't coming in here with the expectations that the players will adjust to his scheme or his process will fix everything. He is evaluating everyone, looking at their strengths and weaknesses, trying to determine what the players can actually do, and then trying to adjust his scheme around that. Pretty refreshing honestly. Evero mentioned doing it previously and we saw that he did exactly that, his schemes and tendencies changed as the year went on based on the personnel he had available due to injuries throughout the season. Defense was never great, but they were servicable with a bunch of JAGs at starting spots through different stretches of the year, and that shows the coach can maximize the talent he has. Cannales comes off as having the same mindset. Again, encouraging, but we do need to see some actual results.
  6. "If Sam Darnold is garbage then no team would be trading for him" Same logic. Field's tape is not great. Moore had his best year in spite of continued bad QB play, he's just a good WR. Hopkins still put up great numbers even with Brian Hoyer throwing him the ball, who also sucked as a QB.
  7. On that Note, here's Bryce's numbers in the same game situations: Numbers are not great and neither was Bryce last year but he was still TWICE AS EFFECTIVE as a passer in strictly passing situations last season compared to Fields. So cool, Fields runs fast but he still sucks as a QB and anyone that thinks he's an upgrade over Bryce (strictly as a passer) is incorrect, and that's not even me saying Bryce will be the second coming, he wasn't great and he is still a better passer than Fields. I know we all miss our dual threat QB with Cam but Fields isn't the guy to replace him.
  8. No he didn't he won 5. These are his stats when teams know he has to throw (End of game while trailing): So elite with his 0 TDs and 7 INTs when trailing at the end of games in strictly passing situations. That's last season alone. These are his career numbers in strictly passing situations: 5 TDs to 17 INTs. He sucks as a passer. Electric runner. Cannot throw for poo. Dalton is infinitely better, and he's already under contract. There's no reason to want the "Upgrade" of Fields.
  9. Fields is ass as a QB so this doesn't scare me. Sure he might run and pick up some yards but he's not a threat as a passer, especially at the end of games. When he actually HAS to pass, he absolutely sucks at it.
  10. Under, we haven't even hit our weekly "Bryce Sucks and we need a new QB" thread quota. For such a small man he occupies such a large amount of space in our minds.
  11. Bryce - D, but that's more based on a group project grade than individual grade. It's hard to separate the individual bad from the collective bad with our offense, but it was mostly just bad. I think he gets too much blame simply because of everything we gave up to get him, because a lot of the collective bad was still out of his control, but it was still not good overall. I say this as one of the few "too early to tell" Bryce defenders at this point. It's okay to admit that he wasn't good and still think he can do better next year. Mingo - F. Again, Group project grade, but he earned the individual F from that... decision? in the titans game where he chose to jump out of bounds and spin 180 degrees in order to catch an on target pass. You can't teach that kind of awareness and body control. Johnson - D+/C-. Yeah he's old, and he didn't play until later in the year, but he ironically probably had more positive contributions than any other rookie this season... which isn't good. Zavala - F. Worst graded lineman in the league. I don't care if he missed TC and was injured, he was worse than Byron Bell ever was. Robinson - C. I honestly have no idea what he contributed to the team this season but he was a 5th round pick and as long as you aren't an active negative contributor to the team, you get an average grade from me as a 5th round or later pick. Draft overall looked bad crappy, especially considering the talent taken at the same positions after we drafted guys (QB, WR, OL, and DL). Glad Fitterer is gone he absolutely sucked and was far and away the worst GM the team has ever had, and one of the worst GMs in the NFL over the past decade.
  12. This guy hasn't lost hope people. Defend him at all cost, he's the best of us right now.
  13. You can pull picks from any QB's film where they miss a defender because a lineman is blocking their line of site. Also the lack of off platform plays was by Reich's design, which is why Stroud would have looked better in his offense. We were damn near last in the league in terms of PA and RPO before Frank was canned, and once he was, we implemented more with Brown calling the plays. Like I have said time and time again, I'm willing to give Young and the linemen some grace from last season. Frank's offense did no one any favors whatsoever. We'll see how they look with Cannales at the helm. If everyone still looks completely lost and garbage, blow it all up and take the Best QB available in 2025.
  14. I'm not going to sit here and say he didn't, because I stopped watching the games halfway through the season, but from what I saw on film breakdowns on YT from guys like JT o'sullivan and such, no one was ever open and when guys actually were, the line failed and allowed pressure. So I have no idea if Bryce missed seeing wide open guys a ton or not. I do know as a whole, the receivers absolutely sucked as did the line, so Bryce also sucked.
  15. Eye line really has nothing to do with it, it's about finding throwing lanes, understanding where your guys are supposed to be at any given time and being able to sort through the visual noise and identify who your guys are vs the other team, and the space between everyone as fast as possible. Peripherals and poo. All 3 of the above QBs are below 6'4", which is the average height of an NFL offensive lineman. None of them can see over any offensive lineman if they are standing up. All of them have to find throwing lanes to be able to be able to throw to their teammates. Bryce's height was never an issue last season. His arm strength or lack thereof, and his footwork were the bigger issues.
  16. Agreed, I think the latest he falls is the 4th. His route running is not great but his YAC is fantastic and he is not afraid of anyone or anything. I would be happy to double dip WR in consecutive rounds like we did at DT with Star and KK in 2013. Then draft IOL from the midwest to fill out roster depth in 4 and 5. Those cornfed midwestern boys have that innate farmer strength that they are bred with that can't be taught.
  17. Morgan talked about adding Dawgs to the team. Corley is a Dawg
  18. This data may be skewed by the fact that our fans don't show up to watch the crap they put on the field every week. No fans means no fans to get drunk.
  19. I think people are trying to come up with a narrative when they just got beat by the current best player in the NFL, and Chris Jones was also a disruptive force up the middle all night long, blew up multiple potential big plays throughout the game. CMC had 30 touches and 155 yards. He only had 3.6 yards per carry, but they were feeding him. They should have run it more opening the second half, but that is the only criticism I have, but that adds maybe 3 more rushes and gives CMC 165 total yards. They still moved up and down the field well enough, you just can't fumble in FG range (CMC) and then turn the ball over on special teams and give Mahomes a short field. The biggest gaff was the bad luck punt off the blocker that gave the Chiefs the ball back. They didn't choke away some huge lead, they were up 10 in the second quarter and the Chiefs scored a fG before the half. It was not some insurmountable lead, the game was well within grasp for both teams at halftime, the Chiefs just made fewer mistakes and Mahomes went goblin mode calling his own number multiple times on the last drive. Don't read too much into it. It was a great game all around - and well officiated too, which is a severe rarity these days.
  20. We don't learn, that's why we re-hired Hurney who was the one who let Butker go.
  21. I want to lock this because it makes me so angry, but OP did nothing but point out facts so I won't.
  22. Cam and Greg Together are just fun. Love to see the love. I miss it.
  23. Get the longest tenured player in franchise history. The man the myth the legend JJ Jansen.
