What's baffling is they admitted they were enamored with Bryce because of his "point guard mentality". Well, if you surround a pass first PG with a trash supporting cast on the basketball court, you're gonna have trash.

I guess I never understood the pointguard mentality, isnt every QB a pointguard? They all pass the ball to their receivers lol. I get maybe like Cam or AR are more capable on their own making plays because they can run, but Stroud is more of a passer than runner, the point guard thing was always a strange thing.

Exactly. Idk why Dan Morgan is brought up like he’s done anything. I think he just meant temporarily though.

They need to literally clean house. This is downright embarrassing.

Yeah, I think you need to totally clean house, too many holdovers constantly from previous regimes. New FO, new coach, new staff, new scouting department, and most importantly, a new President of Football Operations so Tepper can stay far far away.

Under JR we never had consistent sustained success but we had enough sporadic success to maintain interest and hope. This feels boring and hopeless.

Yeah, its really not ideal. I remember the early Tepper days, much excitement, much hope lol. Now... feels like he can't make a single right decision. Its kind of crazy, like you would think just out of law of averages, he would get something right lol.

Man the “Bryce is terrible “crap is getting old.  Hes played 3 games and last week he wasnt even all that bad lot of plays that screwed him over ( Ian thomas blatanly dropping a td pass etc).

    you guys are ridiculous

People love to be miserable. Have things gone how we wanted from him? Answering truthfully, no. Some major FOMO seeing Stroud? Of course. But to say he hasn't improved pretty clearly each week just isnt the case. If he continues this path, he will be fine.image.png.0b432fa5ac4e0d603484943366b063f9.png

  5. I can't imagine Tepper is going to be happy watching the Lions and Ben Johnson dominate us this week while Frank is on the sidelines struggling to get 2 ypc. I still have a feeling if Frank is canned at the end of this year, Tepper may offer Ben Johnson some ridiculous contract to be our coach. Also, I think he's a smart OC, but I'm not entirely sure the system works as well as it does without Dan Campbell and the juice he brings to motivate his players.

if this is true yes, but I think KB is probably alluding to something else.  Even tepper knows you cannot fire coaches halfway into the season

Yeah, as much as I have not been impressed with Frank at all, you really cannot fire him 6 games in, you'll never get any good head coaching candidates that have other options, outside of desperate re-treads.

The whole "Frank came into the interview with such a well laid out plan, much more thought out than the others" never made sense lol, there's a reason he had so much time on his hands, he had been canned while the others were game planning in the playoffs. Did Tepper expect Steichen to spend valuable time to look at our roster in detail instead of preparing his team? Such a joke

The trade itself is not horrible, if you land a franchise QB. And for all his faults I can't fault Tepper for pushing to get a franchise QB in the draft.

The problem I have is that they spent all these resources and ended up drafting a 5'9 QB with limited physical abilities and touted his mental processing as his best attribute. Bryce does seem to be intelligent and scored highly on the aptitude tests, but his play on the field has shown he's not an NFL level talent. His play at Alabama was bolstered by playing with an NFL level supporting cast. Now I'm not ready to say Bryce is a total bust, but he wasn't worthy of the 1st overall pick, and definitely not worthy of the price the Panthers paid for him.

Heads need to roll for that and it'll likely be Scott Fitterer, who has already proven to be a terrible GM for many other reasons.

Agreed. I have no problem with the trade-up, honestly most drafts its not even possible to trade up as the #1 pick team usually needs a QB, so it would typically be much more expensive than what we gave up. But you absolutely cannot whiff on that pick, I hope we win some games cause it will sure hurt to give up #1 or #2

I apparently need to brush up on my NFL safeties because I legit haven't heard of half of these guys.

Lol right, I swear every year there is always one stud safety coming out in the draft, and then you never hear from them again... I still remember when I wanted Malik Hooker so bad lol

  9. I know we are against trading picks, but this guy is a proven WR, I dont think you could expect to get anything even close to him in the 3rd round. Only downside is the contract, but the benefit is that he is able to help right now and give Bryce another target, vs slogging through the remainder of this year. The big benefit of a rookie QB is being able to pay guys, so I wouldnt be opposed to giving them a 3rd and resigning him long term. Im not sure they want to give him up for a 3rd, its not like hes been a huge disappointment.

Nope. I'm letting Fitts sink or swim with this roster he has assembled. If he can find some FA pieces or swing some low level trades involving late round picks or non-core players, fine. But I'm not letting him trade anymore valuable assets either in terms of players or future picks trying to band aid up these shotgun wounds. This is either gonna work or we're in the GM market this off-season.

I feel like I want to get out of this staggered thing we have going on with Coaches/GMs. I feel like we ride the next two years out, if Bryce fails and/or Reich does (probably linked together) we totally clean house and start fresh with a new GM who picks his coach rather than a coach he inherited.

Yeah I mean there is a very solid argument that Dalton looking substantially better than BY would be more of an indictment on Reich and his band of “qb gurus” than anything.

Yeah, I think the Vikings at home will be when he plays again, 1 week off, then return against what looks to be a very soft defense. I actually expect Dalton to look pretty decent this week, I think TB/NO actually both have really solid defenses.
