They actually did it. They successfully rebuilt the OL in one fuging offseason. Unbelievable.

Baltimore and Eagles looking to trade up....
Jay Roosevelt replied to Lurk21's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't trade down for any deal that doesn't include a 2nd rounder. -
Per Aaron Wilson: “The Panthers love Penning”

Too much of a project. -
Pauline doubles down: “Cross won’t fall past 6”
Jay Roosevelt replied to FuFuLamePoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed. I'd have no problem with Neal or Ekwonu but Cross is by far my favorite. -

Cross is my #1 player in the draft. If we can manage to get him at #6 I'll be thrilled. -
lol no way that's real.

I truthfully do not give a poo. Just win football games.

This is the right call. Chinn played better at safety than a lot of people seem to realize. I do think he's better suited for more of a strong safety role and I expect that's what he'll be with the signing of Xavier Woods.

If we trade back out of the top-10, I think our targets need to change. There isn't a LT worth, say, the 18th pick unless Cross REALLY slides. At that point we'd be much better off moving away from LT as our target position and onto something like MLB, where we'd be in perfect position to grab Devin Lloyd or Nakobe Dean.

I don't think Tepper being involved necessarily means we HAVE to be taking Kenny Pickett. That's an overblown connection, IMO. That's not to say we won't take Pickett, but I think there's just as good a chance that we take Malik Willis if we go QB. I think if Tepper's influence means anything it's more likely to mean we go QB over OT, not for one specific QB over another.

Ekwonu. He's extremely talented, but also very raw.

Cross is my #1 OT this year, so I'd love this pick. I do think we'd take Neal or Ekwonu over him if either are there at our pick, though. I just think Cross is the best pass protector in this class. That said, we certainly could opt for a QB. The thing there is if we pick Willis it still won't help us much this year at QB, so we'd still be in the market for a veteran QB or stuck with Darnold. Can you even imagine how the fan base will be clamoring for Willis if Darnold is the starter to begin the year? My lord.

This might be my favorite so far:

Apparently the Browns wanted this for Baker.
Jay Roosevelt replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just cut him lol -

A month ago we were all thinking we wouldn't have much cap space to make any FA moves and yet we signed some good players and still have the most cap space in the NFL. The cap can be so easily manipulated there really isn't any point in worrying about it a year in advance.

Media will be allowed in the locker rooms again
Jay Roosevelt replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
I honestly didn't even realize they hadn't been this whole time. To be honest, I've never understood the need for them to be in the locker room after a game. Let the players get cleaned up and dressed and then talk to them. -
Is the Dream of one of the top 2 tackles dead?
Jay Roosevelt replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
One of the top 3 tackles will be there at #6, possibly two of them. You look at the top-5 teams and literally all of them are in pretty good shape at LT. That doesn't mean one or two won't take Neal/Ekwonu, but with all the elite defensive talent on the board I think it's far more likely than people realize that only one OT is taken before we pick. It honestly wouldn't shock me if all three are there at our pick. -
Fitterer on the possibility of a trade back
Jay Roosevelt replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have been saying for a while that the chances of Neal or Ekwonu being there at #6 are probably better than people realize. Cross almost certainly will be. -
Rhule says giving CMC fewer reps at RB diminishes his value
Jay Roosevelt replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean I kind of get what Rhule is saying here. CMC just being on the field gives the defense so much more to worry about, whether that's as a runner or as a receiver. They can have him on the field a lot without running him into the ground. Even as a decoy on any given play he still is extremely valuable. Whether they go that route remains to be seen. -
Last I heard he was some kind of consultant for the XFL 2.0 before it folded.

The Panthers have first round grades on 3 QBs.
Jay Roosevelt replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
@Zod What if they can't find a trade partner? Do they reach for a QB or just take one of the LTs? -

The plan is Kenny Pickett.
