  1. Running or being able to run the ball allows you to control the game. You control the pace, score, and time of possession. It does also allow your defense to rest and when they do get on the field, go 100%. That in turn forces the opponents offense not have 3 and outs. That's huge pressure, if the other team is just running the ball while having 14 plays drives. If you are able to get 3.5 yards a carry and mix in smoke routes that gain similar while allowing the clock to run......you control the game. Deal is nearly all rules changes in the 25 years have helped the passing part. Young folks and gambling folk want to see 37-45 scores. Those 10-16 score teams are poison and toxic, I don't care personally just win. I can enjoy a 6-3 slug-out just the same as 50-42. There just too many factors to go over. Running used to be important for playoff ball, cause it was before half the league got domes. Running the ball in snow, cold, wet conditions was the path. Like NE played in that awful division each for 20 years during the Dynasty run, they normally had the #1 seed and home field. Thats why bill always had a #1 defense and enough offense to win. It was a huge advantage. I have thought you need to pass in order to score, THEN you must be able to run the ball with 7minutes remaining to keep the other teams offense off the field. But if you're setup to pass and get no experience during the game to try rushing plays, who knows what you can do. So I feel you truly need a balanced attack, that's the key and main goal. Run for first downs went you need too and pass for TDs when you need too.
  2. First game was a awful stat line. 2nd DNP due to ankle Summer league doesn't help what hes bring, its dang near YMCA pickup game level. I heavily question the type of player he is and his future was NOT, not not not what you use #4 pick on. Hornets got him on visit and still made the pick, they better hope he has some Larry legend in him. I maintain huge questions.
  3. barely news, reports, or SM on what this guy was able to pull off.
  4. I mean Im a 100% panther fan, I hate all the opponents. If you forced me to rank them based on how much levels of despise. #1 for me is the saints for the most. fug you Brees and Payton and Jordan and whole smelly fan base. 2nd would be ATL, I've never got over that superman TD by vick...... 3rd would be bucs who have owned the division along with having a fraud SB. Most of my feels come from how things were 10-15 years ago.
  5. I don't know about voodoo and "must win" type of games..... Just if the Panthers lose week 1 against the jags, I feel the effect will be nuclear-level bad. I would immediately lose all hope and think this is 2-4 win team. I feel a huge part of the fan base would feel the same. So this is about the most important week 1 in panther history. If they can not beat Trevor who's been the worst QB for years and pitiful jags after training care.......I swear that would erase the whole season type of feels.
  6. Very simple terms with rough numbers. BY is due 10 million over the next 2 years. *(Panthers already gave signing bonus add another 10mill) Kyle is due 100 million over the next 2 years. BY is about to turn 24 years old. Kyle is about to turn 28 years old. Age and money is a complete win for the BY. BUT I bet, if the names are reversed, not one sane thinking panther fan would trade a 10mill 24 year old Kyle for 100mill 28 year old BY. If all was equal, I think the clear better option would be Kyle, no hate just plain facts. Kyle has the superior arm and better athletically. BY seems to have a better focus and care for his craft, but last year's comments hurt. Still better than Kyle not caring about knowing the plays in playbook while he's playing 4,000 hours of COD. Guess what, very very soon BY will need a new contract........ It could be higher than kylers 46mill per....unless BY wins the SB MVP you can count me out of paying him anything around 50million per. At those numbers, just draft one. IMO BY deserves what another 1st overall pick recently got- Baker 3 year 100 million is about it for last 9 game BY.
  7. You buying the hype and mysterious lore?? Only thing that's gave me hope is NFC south. Wriffs is missing the the first part of the season opens the door more, just need ATL to fail given they traded away 2026 1st.
  8. . .. .... ....... <me ducking out to check on Kyle Murray's contract...>
  9. Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season. Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush. The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
  10. You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint- Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
  11. THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted. Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
  12. Somehow this channel has been uploading NFL games, few are Panthers games just scroll. https://www.youtube.com/@frankiesacco/videos
  13. Why is BY wearing red shoes??
  14. Checked the Panthers all-time list- Robert McClain has to be the answer. Dang I missed that one. He had a long career for 7th and that's the key to the whole game. I think up unto last year both Will Montgomery and Robert McClain were still playing. Robert even had had a try out like 10 years later for the Panthers. I finally remeber his name and seeing he played for like 6 teams, but the fact he was still playing. Almost had the 4 for 4!!!
  15. Old JJ from when the observer was a stepping stone to a much better Job. This is the guy I am trying to figure out- He makes comments about players and minutes after the same video is used again. Paging @Mr. Scot for the life line...
  16. Upon rereading @CRA post. I'd like to change my OLman pick to will montgomery. I thought either Ryan, will, or hangman. Rethinking and still no cheating- Will Montgomery had a looong career for a 7th and started plenty for washington. I got to stick with the others.
  17. No cheat, didn't even scroll past your post. I got two clear ones- Captain Munnerlyn and Josh Norman the next two are my best guesses MIke Minter to round out the DBs Ryan Kalil as the OLman
  18. One of the all-timers for the career he had. Honestly I big part of my wanting him, I see more. He looked bored at times or like no one was giving him him enough challenge. The simple solution is the NFL will give you that "more" you are looking for... He's already got a taste with Horn and MJ...
  19. Fluffed up to the fullest. Does anyone know the young guy sitting at the table with Dan and Dave?? It's in the beginning parts and they are at Indy. Best I know he's not a coach.
  20. Another Guard?? Small ball was just a meme right????? Again can anyone confirm Kon had more than 2 dunks for the season?? I watched more highlights and saw lots of layups. Did see one thunder dunk tho... Jeff just needs to finish this off-season with a guard package trade for a PF/C. Call Portland, that's a start!
  21. XL treatment is in the top 5 What The Fuccks for the the huddle. It just happens that the 32nd team and 33rd team GMs knew each other very well. Panthers viewed the 5th year option as being worth a late 6th and a trade was made to make XL a 1st rounder. He had injuries in OTAs, mini camp and TC. Like others had more injuries in season and just kept playing. Half the season was bad BY and dalton. He still had 500 yds, 5 TDs, and like 45 recs. Just super weird the treatment. BTW people love to focus on the bad plays, but there was only one WR that caught a TD on the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, can you guess who that was?? By many accounts the Pats wanted XL badly and had to select Polk instead, there's strong rumors that Polk is either going to be cut or traded for a 2078 7th rounder. Panthers could have easily been in this situation if not for the Bills allowing the trade up. It pays to have friends.... I feel XL will force some fans to plates of raccoon as he develops. (please stay healthy)
  22. Im very similar to Ron in being a company/league man. But that ends after the third head hit, I would have lost my religion. Then after I got kicked out of the game, Id 100% be dropping nukes in the after-game presser. fug you fine me whatever, I am going to protect my QB and since logic and reason isn't being used, I can be the bad guy. The replays showed clear evidence, Id feel no shame in cussing out a crew of chicken poo refs. In fact Id tell the video staff to play infractions on a split screen during my press conference.
  23. Honestly the 2024 draft class(minus brooks). All are in line to be starters, expect crumedy who's fighting for a 53. Still that class was looking terrible, is now looking like 4 starters and maybe 1 depth. Anytime you draft 2 starters and a key depth piece its a good draft. 4 starters are rare and that's with brooks who could have made 5 starters if not for awful luck. That draft also helped land starter Michael Jackson in a round about way, big bonus..
