  1. Seems like teams are giving the RB treatment to LBs. Rams gave away a great young LB last year- " Los Angeles Rams traded their starting linebacker, Ernest Jones IV, to the Tennessee Titans. The Rams received a 2026 fifth-round draft pick in exchange for Jones and a 2026 sixth-round pick. Jones was in the final year of his rookie contract and was seeking an extension, but the Rams were unable to agree on a deal, leading to the trade. " Titans traded him to the Seahawks, rams rival and I think they ended up re-signing him. Evero came from there and mimics many of the same beliefs. I've said this too many times, you can not pay everyone. Panthers signed the Rams top tackler for near vet min.... DL can help cover up LBs weakness, but this is one huge cover-up.... Still, Jewell was the top dog holding this group above water. Now Panthers need a surprise hero from the group you listed. Prepare thyself, incoming threads about any LBs are in bound.
  2. Need a sleeper on-roster LB hero to re-ignite the hype. Yea they signed a guy named Bam, Bam sounds like a LB name right??
  3. Damone Clark from Dallas is another trade target.
  4. White- PFF Coverage Grade: 32.0 (174th out of 189 LBs)
  5. I overlooked him, yea this guy has produced every stop he's been at for the last few years. 29 years old, unlike the 33-34 names unsigned. Anyone have his PFF coverage grade?? Pro Football Focus (PFF) also gave him a 48.8 overall grade for the season, placing him 156th out of 189 qualified linebackers...... sounds like a panther to me!!111!! still like to see his coverage grade..........I hope there's a sleeper LB already on the roster...
  6. Terrible news all around. Concussion demon takes another panther- Luke, oher, and now jewell. Panthers seemed to want to re-do the contract and Jewell didn't want too, that's a sign that he's retired for good. I've already arm-chair GM this, its bad. Just nothing on the market, not even a Cloweny-like cut waiting for the right team. Trade wise, another big bad. Jags may have two- former 1st round Lloyd . Member the CJ Henderson trade, Panthers sent a 3rd- Chad Muma was used on that pick. He's done near nothing, but listed as LB and he's in the last year of deal. Jags drafted two MLBs this yr. Drew Sanders from broncos former 3rd coming off a torn ach......ugh he's young! Channing Tindall of the phins, another 3rd rounder in the final year without doing much.. Brian Asamoah of the Viking, 3rd rounder in the final year without doing much....... Cuts seemed to be the best path, by far. I don't know if Dan should trade swap 6th for one of those 3rd round duds and a 7th. Panthers are going to need a huge surprise from Bam Martin, windom(statered some last yr), or the other UDFA Nomura. That's the best hope right now, someone on the current roster shows up and shocks everyone while they take over a starting MLB job.
  7. Thanks for keeping us up-2-date on the ALL the Panthers news like you always have in past years!
  8. You recall BY games at seasons start and 2023?? He was the worst QB in the league. Dalton came in guns brazzlin and showed BY you got to throw the ball. Dalton played great those first two. If you wait for college open, you will struggle. All Im doing is telling you the Backup group is hella bad. The best you can hope is for the 2-4 games your backup doesn't lose you games. Dalton did that. Plus he is in the of hall of very good with his career stats. He's still throwing on a NFL level, while those who cannot start podcasting with the hopes of landing guest star CMCs mom..... I thought for sure Lock would have been a Panthers, but Daltons friendship with BY overruled that. Im glad Dalton is the Panthers backup for 2 years at 8 million. You can do A LOT worst than Dalton as the backup. Yea we need the TC to start and drop the lol backup QB talk... Last fact, I was ALLLLL for drafting sanders in the 4th round...........
  9. Ill quote you in my simple report. The best player for the hornets was Simpson. If hornets....by some miracle stay healthy, Simpson will get 0 minutes on the season OR 2-3 minutes in a 50 point barn burner. That's summer league for you. Kon, much better with the ball, better passer, better deep 3 shooter, and bigger body than I thought. He never got a matchup with a decent NBAer player. He did look slow and to borrow a video game term- laggy at times trying to defend players that will never get NBA minutes. He's got to figure out how to defend with his limitations. Im not sure he will get over 15 minutes at the seasons start, just depends on the comments before this. The type of system will be important. If Kon is unable to guard players, they will iso him to death and destroy his confidence. It's starts all over for Kon. He picked up the slack for Simpson fading and was the tourney MVP. Sims scored the win the game before and Kalk had his best game at the end too. Maybe maybe maybe, these rookies will change the hornets for the better. My opinion- check back on Kon when the all-star break happens. He's 19 and repeat that until the ears hurt. I hope he's able to keep his confidence level high, the NBA will humble everyone. Lequeen James got drunk on every practice until he got better.
  10. I know he faded hard, but the first couple games was the red rifle. Honestly he didn't lose the job, it was a car wreck that hurt his thumbs. Bro nearly all backups got major flaws, much more that Dalton. These QBs have found something to prolong careers, many are playing into late 30s. Arod is the oldest player in the league now, I think. Wilson is still getting jobs.
  11. The D has no choice but be better. If they are close to this past year, after 6 games fired evero. I knew once Sean Payton let him go, that should have been enough on his worth. I thought he was one of the youngest rising stars in the league and he should have been the HC if Dave was the other option.....Then this past year happened.... I watched each week with NO improvments and nothing on smart game plans...... Just the worst defense in the Panthers history. I do not care if DBrown was a monster and DMVP of this group, make adjustments and figure it out. The best DCs always find ways, evero just put it on cruise and got nothing. He's also had a say in drafts and nearly all the FAs, thus far some school of the blind DC would have the same results. Just a big year and Im completely out of excuses. Plus I have a short hook if they are looking bad, in fact 4 games Im ready.
  12. Im of the opinion that if your team is constantly either 2 or 5 wins at seasons ends.....I 100% retire from smack/trash talking other fans... I mean the best insult is "Your team almost lost to shitty Panthers!!!" LolZ!!! I mean..... I just stay silent. Side note I think you are waaaaaay too hard on Dalton in backup terms. He's lost some MPH, but he can still spin it for a few games. The league wide back group looks awful, glad him and BY are bros. He's a better Derek Anderson who was a great backup the first couple years here, he made a pro-bowl as a brown QB....that's almost HOF-worthily.....(jk)
  13. I agree with the OL-RB crew. Just to toss this into the fire- Panthers are the only team to invest 8, 32, and 39 draft capital into the WR spot. No other team has used top picks like panthers only at WR.
  14. New Orleans Saints and QB Tyler Shough reached agreement today on a fully-guaranteed $10.795 contract, per @ErikBurkhardt of @RocNationSports . At pick No. 40, Shough is the last player selected in the 2025 draft to secure a fully-guaranteed deal. The contract also includes annual Roster Bonus structure whereby Shough receives the majority of his compensation each year during the first week of training camp. Tyler was not the linchpin about others signing, but he was the last player to get a fully guarantee at 40th overall. Still 36(?) browns RB remains unsigned, he got arrested and it looks bad..... Plus this didn't last into the TC, I thought it could easily. Like 50/50 it would. Glad Nic is signed, details are not made public, sportac maybe right, its still sorta early- https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/97850/nic-scourton
  15. While posters are still throwing punches with facts and opinions. AT was injured because he absolutely laid out for a perfect TD ball, gangster.
  16. https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/article/nfl-2nd-round-pick-contract-tracker-over-half-the-selections-have-now-agreed-to-deals-including-some-guaranteed-210301231.html No. 50: TE Elijah Arroyo, Seattle Seahawks 4-year, $8.813 million deal with $6.872 million guaranteed Nic has his limits now.
  17. Looking like up til pick 37 are getting fully guaranteed deals thus far-(I bet 40 Tyler gets a full deal) https://x.com/MikeGarafolo/status/1946308964938809800 Phins and Seahawks traded up for their players and now gave them fully deals.
  18. One thing I am surprised about is his passing and timing of the pass. He's much better than I thought in this regard. Smart passes while in a flow. He seems to have deep range on his 3 as well. I want to see him D up players that are not going to Amazon drivers in a few weeks. Spurs players did go at him some and he held up. It was a rough game, everyone going to need ice baths.
  19. Kon best game, all quarters he played well Simpson was not his normal self, still the best Kalk good overall, best game too. Baugh just got mins and hit 3s in all of them. PJ Hall for the HOF!! Hornets in the playoffs!
  20. Spurs put in the 3rd crew, hornets won this around 30 points. They should make the playoffs.
