  1. Perfect. Sit back and play it smart. If he wants to come here for relatively cheap then we can possibly work out something.
  2. Tepper isn't hiring this staff, Reich is. Also Wilks didn't want to coach here as an assistant as he took a job already with the Niners. Move on and keep up fool!
  3. How did Stroud look MUCH better at OSU? Fields took out Lawrence's Clemson Tigers in the playoffs and made it to the championship game. He also never lost to Michigan.
  4. I guess the question is how much longer is he wanting to play. He turns 32 in March. If he wants to play until he is 34/35 then telling upfront our play is to draft a project QB to learn behind him for a few years may work.
  5. With their new OC there is only one choice....
  6. He did so great against the Chiefs that second half.... Seriously though why are they picking a defensive minded coach to help Kyler Murray??
  7. I'm loving it. Pumping his best resource (his money) into this franchise and letting the football people do their job (hopefully). What more can we ask for?
  8. It's about as clear as it gets this time of year. They are "sticking with Fields" and "not planning on using the pick on a QB." I mean what else can he say?
  9. Nah, some Huddlers already told me it’s a weak QB class…
  10. Someone already stated that Reich and Caldwell have already worked together. He was probably in on this hire.
  11. Adding Jim Caldwell to our staff just made it much stronger. I'm not nearly as concerned about how we acquire our next QB.
  12. Not to mention our DC will more than likely be a HC very soon.
  13. Agree. I think we have a "max package" we will give for a QB we like IE Stroud. That's Plan A. Plan B would be hope one of the big 4 fall to 9. Plan C is probably get a playmaker at 9 or move down, and look at a 2nd/3rd round guy like McKee or Tune. That's just an example on the top of my head. Obviously much brighter minds than mine will be running this show.... Unfortunately I think we are going to look at Carr once he gets released as well. I don't know where that would rank and that could completely change everything.
  14. I think the safest approach is to wait and see. If it's Levis and Young going 1 and 2 then we can look at trading up to 3 with AZ which should be less of a haul and so on depending if Stroud drops. For example say we won't give up more than next year's first plus our 9 and maybe some mids to move up for him.
  15. Yeah the good new is we have a staff that might actually be capable of developing a project QB like AR. AR getting drafted by our previous coach would be a disaster, but we our new crew it has some potential...
  16. Stroud is the safest pick that could be anywhere from a Goff to a Burrow IMO. If you are gambling on just potential like a Josh Allen pick you take AR. I think Stroud should be priority one and if we can't trade up to acquire him without giving up too much AR at 9 should be the backup plan. Getting a big TE in the 2nd and/or FA to help either of them develop should be a high priority as well.
  17. https://sports.yahoo.com/why-bears-dont-trade-justin-175127863.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAB4QYz2yjxERyj9qEsLhopfIA1bX7ZE6UN2rwfLqBdrnegHbeErAil2SedJJEO98gPtoMYOImGIcsPM_TL3Rdcp9V_Xoe6smPfUvKwv3t5MH-QB5diO6RW4cOdXwk4SlEbJsVh3wg5hThNtRxQWYvwTgcmvQzK_dX6sZjkxf7lHy A NFL HC and Peter King give a good answer on why the Bears should not think about trading Fields.
  18. They have pretty much said the first pick is for sale? https://theathletic.com/4077433/2023/01/10/bears-justin-fields-ryan-poles-nfl-draft/?amp=1
  19. He included Ridder and Huntley that weren’t even options. Such an “edgy” poster…
  20. This is all true and he definitely deserves credit, but they also have a loaded roster. It really helps having a QB on a rookie deal.
