It’s really hard to tell with that offense UT runs. His WRs were wide open a lot and he threw some floaters to get it there sometimes. He didn’t look nearly as good in VT’s offense. I will say this though, he is a tough leader mentally and will put in the work to get better. If a coach like Reich can zero in on a few issues, he could turn out pretty good.

Plus everyone is calling it a “weak” class, yet 4 will be gone by pick 9?? Makes no sense…
-
Oh I'm not laughing at him. I'm just trolling you because you Trask spammed this board like you did Strong and now Corral. -Just remember your own advice when you make fun of Rhule (he has made some money) and Baker.... Oh wait this is just a reversal because you were dead wrong about Trask.
-
I think you just have such bad takes people have a hard time judging if you are being sarcastic or not. Hopefully you are.... in like every post you have made.

Reich won’t disregard him, but our focus will be on the first round rookie if we draft one this year. Corral is a nice bonus if he works out.

He has to be a useless troll at this point. We wanted us to draft OL in the top 10 as well....

A reject from another team? You mean like Andy Reid and the Eagles?? I swear you don't even think before you make this terrible comments....

I mean Carr is probably getting cut from his team and the Bears are passing on the top QB in this class to keep Fields as their guy. It really helps to add context with stats. I think Carr is an average QB, but Fields is a 23 year old who was responsible for 25 TDs and around 3500 total yards with a terrible OL, Moony as his best WR, a defensive minded HC, in his 2nd offense in as many years, in the QB wasteland known as Chicago. Carr is about to be on the decline and Fields is just starting to flash (yeah he needs more work as a passer). I’d take Fields on that rookie contract for pick 9 over spending a large amount of money to acquire Carr all day long.

People want to pretend like they know the next great QBs, the one guy even claims to have an “algorithm” that can predict it. Let’s be honest most professional scouting teams miss more than they hit on QB prospects. We all will have terrible takes for or against QBs in the draft, it’s just part of it.

@TheSpecialJuandoes it right. Others try and fail…

Lol that guy tries so hard and has some of the worst takes…. I love how he called Icky a bust at the end of the year.
-
Justin Herbert, the top 10 pick diamond in the rough…. What about Trask and Carson Strong??
-
Keep those rumors going! Stroud hates football and is too mild mannered. I heard he can’t read a defense either. Teams should DEFINITELY pass on him…
-
It’s not “fixed.” Corral went on IR all season so there are zero reasons for Reich to bet the season on a precious HC’s 3rd round QB who played 0 snaps. Third round QBs aren’t typically drafted to be starters…

The coach/ staff that picked Ridder is still there, he actually played in NFL games and looked capable. Reich is going to want to pick his guy and Corral gave him 0 reasons to believe in him.

This is what people aren't understanding. Waiting next year for Maye/Williams is far from a guarantee. The bottom two teams aren't trading those picks if those 2 players have great years again. Our roster is too strong for us to have a bottom 2 pick, so we are going to have to trade up or draft a guy that needs some coaching developing which is what we hired Reich for.
-
I think they give Ridder a full year. He was suppose to be a bit of a project and looked ok towards the end of the year when he got playing time. If I were them I would roll with Ridder and if he doesn't grow/develop look into next year's class which might be pretty deep.
-
Exactly. We are just playing players like Chinn and Burns to their strengths with a better DC and the same amount of holes as before.
-
Andy Reid is also a "QB Whisperer" and let's see he worked with McNabb 2nd overall pick and Mahomes who he traded up to pick 10 to draft. McVay (another whisperer) worked with top overall pick Goff and top overall pick Stafford. It's like these offensive guys also need talented QBs (as in first round talent) to run their offense at its full potential...
-
1st round QBs have a higher success rate. It's been shown on here through several forms of data. Can you get lucky and find one in the later round? Sure, but they are even more rare than the 1st round ones (which are also hard to come by).

I agree 1000%. I just think some people are just overreacting to the 3-4 defense switch (if it even happens). We have pieces on defense that make it a lot easier to fill the holes we have there. IE Brown next to an average DL starter should make him look a lot better.
