From what I’ve read he seems humble and is a hard worker. Give me that with those physical traits and it’s definitely worth a shot. I get the hesitation, I was also high on Trey Lance for similar reasons. You can’t coach/teach those physical traits and they both seem to have the intelligence and work ethic to be successful in this league. I would be ok with an OL as well, if there isn’t a QB we like.

He did good against VA Tech which I would imagine had superior athletes. I really like his maturity level and he seems humble. His arm is a strong NFL arm. I think he checks a lot of boxes if we can develop him right.

Allen had processing?? Umm you might want to check out his college stats. The man was very raw with under 2000 passing yards and 56% completion only 16 TDs and 6 INTs his last year. If he had processing down so does every QB in this draft...

You can design plays/an offense for him to get involved in the second half of the season. Some simple read options etc…

I've been preaching this the whole time. His OL was awful against lower competition and nonexistent against SEC teams like Ole Miss. He still got Liberty ranked and beat Va Tech and Syracuse, teams he had no business playing close with the talent gap. He needs to refine his game because he (like Howell last year) had to play hero ball with a bad OL and WRs that couldn't get separation. His passing yards are low because his attempts were low. People need to go look at Josh Allen's stats in college...

It has been a poo show, but they seemed to have learned a little. Better assistant coaches, and so far Free Agency has been solid. They seem to be pointing in the right direction now. It seems like Rhule may have lost his full roster control from the outside looking in which would be a good thing.

We should have a better roster fit Willis to work with now.

Our offense would feature a new OL with possible Armstead signed as well, CMC, DJ Moore, Robbie (or Fuller), two young TEs in Thomas/Tremble and some young weapons in TMJ/Shi Smith. Defense would still have young talent and Tepper will basically let him help run the team. It’s a nice setup for a QB.

High potential, high character. Plus he will be on a cheap rookie deal and only cost us one pick. That’s 4 boxes checked. Sign Cam to mentor him/start the first couple games and roll him out after a few weeks. Will there be growing pains? Yep, but that’s part of it.
