  1. If we want a weapon there is no need to trade up . Four QBs should go before us (maybe 5) that leaves Chase, Smith, Pitts, and Waddle.
  2. It’s all smoke to encourage the Falcons to draft Pitts and pass on Fields.
  3. Fields played Indiana, Northwestern, Clemson, and Alabama with constant games getting moved/cancelled, staff/players getting quarantined and playing through injuries. He is the most battle tested QB out if the major ones we are talking about. I honestly put him right there with Lawrence talent wise plus he is an extremely smart man. Check out Mark Sanchez’s info on his testing, it’s a good read. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/49ers/justin-fields-did-insanely-well-aptitude-test-mark-sanchez-says%3famp He really should be the 1st or 2nd pick. If he some how falls to 8 I hope we pull the trigger.
  4. If we get Pitts, my expectations for Darnold will be higher. Pitts, Moore, Anderson, CMC should be a top offense in this league based on potential...
  5. I doubt Pitts will be there, but if he is I have no problem taking him. LT should definitely be round 2. Pitts with CMC, DJ, and Anderson would be insane!
  6. I’m a realist about it. I would like to see an improvement from his year 2 stats (his best season). A good bit over 3000 yards with at least a 2/1 TD to INT ratio. I would love to see a clutch play or two with the game on the line.
  7. What’s your answer? It’s a win win really.
  8. From what I was reading Denver is wanting us to eat a chunk of his salary for a trade to happen. As long as it’s less than his dead cap space and we get something in return it’s totally worth it.

  10. Yeah if you see a negative number just ignore that poster. They are usually trolls...
  11. How is Justin Fields a band aid? I view him right there with Lawrence. Who is better than Fields next year? You have an accurate passer with a cannon for an arm that also runs a 4.4. If he falls it would be a steal. Watson and Mahomes fell to right around the same slot 9/10. It was reported that we “love” Fields and “like” Mac. So if a draft prospect we “love” at the most important position in sports is available you don’t draft him because you consider that a “bandaid”?
  12. I just don’t want to see him miss another opportunity with the game on the line. I’d rather Darnold throw it up and get picked off than Teddy dump it off for 2 yards on 4th and 8...
  13. Here is my thought process. Even if Darnold isn’t that great we may still win our fair share of games (see Teddy last year) plus our defense should be much improved. So if we are picking mid to late first next year we saw how expensive it is to move up for a QB (thanks Niners). If one falls in our lap at 8 like Fields I think you absolutely take him. If hell freezes over and Darnold turns into the second coming of Peyton Manning you can still get a return for Fields (Darnold sucked at they got a 2, 4, and 6). If Darnold is still bad or just average we have a rookie top pick to compete with him, become the starter and hopefully be our franchise QB. It’s such an important position that we shouldn’t settle until we have the right guy. I know we need a LT, but if Sewell isn’t there I don’t see a huge drop off from Slater and the other LTs in this draft. This is a good year to possibly grab a talent in the 2nd round. I would feel MUCH better with Darnold and Fields competing behind a line with a solid 2nd round LT (NDSU guy, Alabama guy both look capable) than just Darnold behind say Slater going into next year. If Darnold and Fields struggle then we can start to look at our staff...
  14. Love Lance’s potential, but do you think we should get him at 8? I wouldn’t be upset with it just curious. My order is Sewell, Fields, and then maybe trade down? I need to watch more film of Slater something about him is throwing me off for the number 8 pick...
  15. True. At least we are trying something new with a new owner/gm/coach. Hopefully our best seasons are coming soon!
  16. Darnold is a great low risk insurance plan. He just shouldn’t be our set in stone starting QB next year. If a name becomes available or a top prospect falls to us, I hope we strongly consider it...
  17. I am in one about “Teddy Bridgewater Likely on the Outs in Carolina” looking for news on that? Yet here you are still talking about that QB from the Texans....
