  1. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear Sanders was playing hurt last year. He was held out of practices early on recovering from a groin injury and never really looked himself. I mean I know he isn’t elite but he should at least look serviceable…
  2. Nah man. Get hyped and enjoy yourself! If it doesn’t work out it’s not from Dan’s lack of effort. Free agency has been fun/eventful despite how it may unfold. I’m curious to see how we draft now.
  3. Someone also shared with me Jammie Robinson was a former cock before he transferred to FSU.
  4. So many gamecocks with Wonnnum, Horn, Clowney, and possibly Gilly?
  5. Yeah unless he drops to the later rounds we can't afford the risk associated with him.
  6. I was simply stating it is there and I would like to see more of it as well. We get it, you are over him. Why are you torturing yourself by trying to talk about him constantly? If it's "depressing" you then perhaps find something else to talk about? The people on here that are the most anti-Bryce are the ones who want to constantly talk about him. Just take a look at the top posters on this topic.
  7. Oh I get the PR stuff, but I mean he had a few moments last year I would like to see more of. I would like to see some of that passion as he gets more comfortable. Players can feed off of it. He showed it in college more IMO.
  8. I remember slants being his bread in butter behind that Alabama OL. I can't imagine they are much smaller than the NFL one he has now. It's all about passing lanes.
  9. I remember him getting fired up on the sidelines one game. Also wasn't there some speech he gave the locker room? I don't think you can make it to this level and not have some passion/competitiveness unless you are just some insane athlete like a Peppers or Clowney.
  10. Yeah Canales mentioned they work on footwork every year with every QB. Hell Cam never really got his footwork right, his arm strength could hide his sometimes sloppy footwork. It also caused his to overthrow a lot of passes and be kind of “streaky” with it. Throw in a bad OL and footwork will usually get sloppy.
  11. I agree, but we still have cap space and a draft before this one is done. Regardless is should look better than last year at a minimum.
  12. It's not a complete product yet. Let's see the final roster first, but even with Johnson, a high pick rookie plus a better OL should be night and day from last year. Still a bottom tier set, but I would expect a functional offense out of that group.
  13. This whole debate is pointless as people have dug their feet in on their stances. Let's just see how Bryce plays this year with some better talent around him. If people want to see more of him or him in a competent offense, that seems more than fair. If people have already made up their mind of him not being the guy then nothing is going to change that unless he can prove them wrong by playing better this year. It would be nice to have a reasonable debate with it blowing up into some of this nonsense though...
  14. Jewell replaces Luvu. Luvu pass rushes better but Jewell is better in coverage which is what Evero uses the position for the most. One could argue that’s a wash. Robinson at DT is a definite upgrade and lets Tuttle play a rotational role or slide to DE as he was an undersized DT. As of right now Wonnum is the Burns replacement. Obviously Burns is better which is why we still need Clowney and or a high draft pick for edge rushers. Shaq coming back is an immediate upgrade because he had guys off the streets playing LB. So IMO Shaq and Jewell are better than Luvu plus Hill or whatever FA he had playing that week. Robinson upgrades the DL at possibly 2 positions (letting Tuttle slide to DE as well). We have a drop off losing Burns but Wonnum is a decent starter. It really just depends on how high you view Burns. The biggest thing is seeing how all of these new pieces play together. That will tell the story, but I could see someone on thinking we could be better in the front 7 with one more move on paper at least.
  15. It would really help us to draft BPA
  16. The good news is we gave up next to nothing for him as we were going to cut DJax regardless.
