  1. It looks like we are trying to build up for the future. A one year rental on a 30 year old WR who can’t stay off IR isn’t worth overpaying in our situation. A cheap one year rental to help develop our QB? Sure? But that wasn’t the case.
  2. We had a value on him and they outbid us. It’s not that big of a deal. I kind of like not overpaying for every player available as we are not in win now mode.
  3. Milton will get overdrafted. Make a couple preseason highlights then overthrow a pass over the middle for a pick.
  4. So far not many restructures or pushing the cap down the road either. Tillis could be the needed change.
  5. Chase Young’s neck injury also kept us away apparently.
  6. We did similar as the Commanders did with Sweat and both players are similar with Sweat being better against the run and Burns being slightly better at rushing the passer.
  7. I think Brown is the anchor of the defense so yes he is worth it. Also the cap is increasing by a good bit so $20 million next year doesn't hurt as bad as $20 million in previous. Hell we had 10 QBs making over $40 million with some clearing $50. The Hunt contract is more like a 3 year $63 million contract looking at the guarantees and buyout potential. We did overpay but we currently have to in order to attract top FAs and I believe out staff wants an OL THIS year so they can properly evaluate Bryce. We can also afford to overpay for some of these positions because we don't have an expensive QB eating up a chunk of the cap. So far Tillis is keeping it clean and not pushing much cap down the road with restructures. We still need a center (probably) and another weapon or two to put a functional offense on the field and make some real evaluations.
  8. I’d probably take Mitchell or Coleman. Whoever falls. It would be very tempting to trade for Mitchell but we need our picks. I’d be more tempted to trade back and acquire more picks than trading up.
  9. This is the WKU WR I was mentioning earlier. We hosted him for a pre draft visit also.
  10. He looks great. Obviously the strength of competition is a concern. The WR from WKU looked awesome too.
  11. I feel like Ladd is a higher floor limited ceiling pick. He runs great routes with good hands.
  12. Looks like an explosive runner. The highlight clips have him hurdling defenders too. Not sure how he translates at the next level.
  13. Travis from FSU We actually met with John Rhys Plumlee for what it’s worth. He looks like more of a runner too.
  14. In the 2025 class I’m looking to see how Ewers plays without his top weapons, how Sanders (my current favorite) plays with a better OL, and how Leonard looks with better talent around him at Notre Dame. It will be an interesting year.
  15. He always gets me excited in the offseason just to let me down in the regular season.
  16. No one is asking for rose colored glasses. Just accurate statements please. Like I’ve already said there is plenty to critique with Bryce let’s not make up any additional ammo. I’m all for waiting and seeing. He either progresses or leads up to his replacement. As long as we keep that 25 first round pick there will be some sort of light at the end of the tunnel.
  17. Lol so defensive. I'm not saying you are lying as I clearly stated "I'm not saying it's not true." I like to have some sort of context on these blank statements. Was it the first week of camp? Was it a constant trend or just a day or two of practice etc... I was unable to find anything backing it so I thought you would have it sense you brought it up. I simply stated he DID work out with his WRs the past offseason and it was actually documented. Post things on a message board and they might get responses. Crazy right? Especially when they are easy to disprove. If the conversation is disappointing you feel free to move on and not reply.
  18. This is what happens. Someone says something overexaggerated or untrue and I dispute it. Then it turns into a "Bryce should be better!" That's just a pivot. Look I have zero attachment to Bryce Young other than him being our current QB in which I hope he does well. If he struggles I'm more than ok moving on from him. People on here just like to overreact and make up inaccurate comments which I dispute. I've seen plenty overreact to Icky, Mingo, Burns, and even Brown at one time. You have done a good job at calling out people when they do the same to Icky. Your source is you recall a number of independent people questioning it? I'm not saying it's not true, but that should be easy to look up. When I look it up it's just the Panthers social hyping up his deep balls (which I don't pay attention to). You stated he could have worked with his WRs in the offseason. I showed you clear as day where he did and yet you want to still deny it. We have shown his official height at which you doubted that and stated it was his hair?? There is plenty to hate on if that's what you are wanting to do (which is seems you are). There is just no need to make up stuff when it's easy to show otherwise. I mean we had people saying Adam Schefter is making up a story to protect Tepper...
  19. Hmm I must have misread the entire article then. LeBlanc is a private coach shared these photos and videos to promote his services. Also your interpretation of photos has been a little off lately... He looked the most rusty in training camp? Is there a source for this? There’s still two weeks to go before Bryce Young and the rest of the Carolina rookies report to Panthers training camp. However, the No. 1 pick of the NFL Draft spent this week in Dallas doing some extra work with his new receivers. Young worked out with receivers Adam Thielen, the former Viking, Terrace Marshall, DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault on the SMU campus. Rookie running back Camerun Peoples also hung out with the receivers. They’re all working with Craig LeBlanc, a quarterback turned specialized private coach
