Jewell replacing Luvu could be an upgrade in Evero's system. Luvu was honestly playing out of position here and struggled with coverage.

Panthers sign ex Bills CB Dane Jackson

That’s a much better deal. -
So don’t draft him with one of our 2nds but if he is there in round 3 grab him?
-
I don’t know enough about him but I’ve heard he kind of is a one year wonder. Is this true USC fans?
-
We have our first round pick though. If Bryce is as bad as people on here claim then we should easily have the top pick in the next draft.
-
Enjoy the hype! It’s sports and it should be fun and enjoyable. They are definitely changing things up this year and it should be interesting.
-
I’d love that
-
Kind of what I was thinking…
-
Would you consider that a good job by our coach and front office. From 2 to 6 wins?
-
I‘m just going by the actual actions of free agency not the coach speak as some call it. Not overspending on Burns, paying up for interior OL, trading a defensive piece for an offensive weapon, cutting older higher paid players etc… I’m not concerned with Combs getting it. I’m sure he is just a casual fan and probably too busy to follow us as closely as people on a message board do. He probably just reads headlines. Burns was probably a name he knew and now he is gone, your average fan had no clue who Canales was and so on.

Yeah it's not hard to figure out the plan. Allocate resources from the defense to the offense, cut overpaid underperforming vets, and attempt to get younger on the roster. Most of our signed players are in the mid 20s with the exception of Jewell (29 or 30 can't remember). We cut Hurst, Bell, and Bozeman who were all 30 or about to turn 30 and overpaid. We weren't paying Burns because we needed that money allocated across several positions. Another important thing I noticed is Dan refusing to lose any draft picks. Even that 6th rounder for Johnson he made sure he got a 7th in return (goes with the youth movement).

Ok that made me lol
-
You forgot Hopkins and Watkins...
-
Build a complete offense. If our QB struggles in it then we find another one. We need a nice red zone threat. Having a bunch of shifty slot guys is nice until the field starts getting smaller. A decent tight end would be nice as well.
-
Go get him!
-
I’d rather just take it on the chin this year unless we absolutely need the money.
-
He catches the ball which made him our best WR. I'm ok with trading him and signing a younger player like Renfro as long as the cap doesn't getting affected too much. Keep this youth movement going.
-
Renfrow is younger so if we trade AT is makes sense as long as the contract is cheaper.
-
He plays AT’s spot. We need some outside WRs.

REPORT: Chase Young visiting Panthers
ForJimmy replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah very few of these guys are going 110% every play. They will get exhausted. I see a lot of holding your position and trying to shed your blocker at certain moments. -
Oh there were a group of Bryce fans before the draft that were obnoxious no doubt. As someone who wanted Stroud I recognized it pretty quickly. (I was ok with Young or AR as well full disclosure) I feel like most of those people are in hiding or laying low now, but I could be wrong. I'm an Auburn fan, so it feels wrong pulling for Young but as of right now he is our guy. If he sucks this year I will cheer for whoever replaces him. With that said I will still mock people on here who cry about him after every transaction we do. We had people blaming Luvu picking Washington over us on Young. The overreacting, constant whining about him will continue to get mocked by me. If people don't like that then I agree with the "tough titty" comment.
