Brycs's dad picks between Keon, Ladd, AD & X
ForJimmy replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh I think most that doubt him would love to be wrong. We are all Panthers fans here after all. I just want to see a solid offense. It’s been a minute since we’ve had one… -

I mean it would be comical. A lot of Huddlers would have some egg on their face… -

Yeah like I’d prefer a big redzone threat or a deep jump ball WR or a fast deep threat to keep the defense honest. These players can really open up an offense. Again I won’t be mad with Ladd and I think he has a high floor as @MHS831said. -

I was talking to someone about this earlier and they had a good point. If we play in extending Diontae then Ladd makes less sense as they are similar players. I’ve been leaning towards AD lately but I’d be shocked if he is there at 33. The most ideal is a big bodied WR X type WR. A speedy deep threat would work too. -

Smith wanted Mingo too -
I think he is a motivational speaker or psychologist or something if I remember correctly.

What were the other options?

Mike Williams visiting Monday?

The GM’s job is to build a good roster. All things considered it’s starting to look better than expected on paper so far. If the product on the field can’t match the expectations of a good roster (if ours becomes one), that falls on the coaching staff to a degree vs the GM. Morgan still has a lot to do, but the roster is further along than I thought it would be at this point in the season. We still need another starting OLB like Young or Clowney before going into the draft IMO. If we can land Mike Williams AND one of these guys we can pretty much draft BPA.

“Starting” was a key word I missed. My bad. -

Zappe and Willis are on new teams? What did I miss? -
Then let us get Corey Davis

Draft Rice this year and Sanders next to have the Sanders to Rice connection. Old school fans would love and hate this so much…

Maybe packaging a deal to trade for Herbert?
-
Wonnum should be starting opposite of Young/Clowney if we sign of them.

Someone mentioned Herbert to Minnesota as a rumor.

Sign Fuller and Chase Young and we can go into the draft BPA
-
Thats sounds right to me. Let me call up Evero and see what he thinks… brb.

I feel like he is more of a YGM replacement. I think he starts opposite of Young/Clowney/draft pick. He is a big upgrade over YGM and not far from recent Burns when you look at a complete package. If we could sign Chase Young (or Clowney) and Fuller it will set us up nicely in the draft IMO.
