  1. Again, according to you. I'm just interested in the interview.
  2. According to you I suppose. Carry on.
  3. Fair point, poor chioce of a word on my end. But the fact remains they went all in. Bet the fuging farm to win the big one. Two 1sts and a third. And got the goddamn job done! The Panthers will never have balls like that. Edit: I stand corrected after thinking of it. They DID go all in on Stafford. The Rams beat us out. Maybe they do.
  4. The rams were inept for how long? The LA rams that is. How long did it take for them to win a super bowl? And why? QB. It would absolutely make us a contender. Remember, we put a high bid on trying to get Stafford. I was one the people saying, thank you Rams! How foolish do I look now! This is very true. 100% absolutely true. He has never, ever said that. Not one time out of his mouth were those words spoken. In on every deal, I am here for it. Sell the farm. No one, and I mean no one, could predict Stafford getting the big one in my opinion. Cry about the team money none of us own if you like. Without a competent QB, you go nowhere. Fact. With a competent QB you go to the playoffs. And sometimes you get back to back winning seasons, which we have never done. Get a deal done at all costs!
  5. In the book, from the half I read, I would agree with you in regards to how he actually is. However, in the tv series the actor lacks the depth of the Jack Reacher I was familiar with. Maybe that is my disconnect. I have made it to episode four now, and I still have the same feeling from the OP, and that is on me. I haven't enjoyed it yet. Mindless entertainment as @Pejorative Miscreant put it earlier, I can see that. Yeah. It just isn't coming across as anticipated in regards to what I read before. But, that can be true with any book to film I suppose. Yeah @thefuzz I am more looking to see Jack Ryan. Two Jacks! That's a good hand in poker. Well, at least 20% haha
  6. Date currently unannounced. It seems it may be an early summer schedule, I could be wrong. I remember in 2019 when Joe was calling the mma match, he called it a joke. He clarified his thoughts on a later show, seemingly saying, Hardy wasn't ready for a co-main event. Sitting with Joe for probably at least 2 hours or more usually turns into a raw conversation. It should be interesting to hear Hardy's perspective on things after all this time. And you know the Panthers will be brought up.
  7. So, I read the first book about halfway through. I liked it a lot, I went through things known as life and didn't pick it back up again but I wanted to. It was good. Saw it was on Amazon as a tv serires, and thought, why not? What I have learned in three episodes, so far. Take NCIS, Criminal Minds, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, and toss in a bit of Columbo and a sprinkle of Murder she wrote. Tie all of those together with a 6' 4' 265 lb lead with the acting skills of a pet rock and lean back in your executive chair and pop the cork of intellectual success. Correction, ineffectual success. To be fair I am only three episodes in, but so far I have seen better writing on the side of an iodine bottle. This would be better served aired on the CW. Harsh criticism I know so far, I could be absolutely wrong. What say you fine folk?
  8. Nah man, your good you got carried away. I understand. When you get the feeling of the music you love so much, it surfaces. Metal music got me through some really hard times. I'm not saying that you had hard times, just saying it really helped me. The stir of emotions with this type of music is not like others. I should know. I am a recovering drummer. haha I think the worst time in my life, Pantera Far Beyond Driven got me through it. I had so much internal anger and the band filtered it for me. It was a girlfriend issue, and Pantera's shedding skin helped purge the hurt. I met Phil I think in 2002 at Ground Zero (before the Dime incident) and I all I wanted to ask him was wtf! WTF! I never got my question out completely and the man saw me and said I know, I know. Then gave me a hug and said im sorry. Phil Anselmo did that.
  9. Do you know me? Haha damn near the same poo happened to me, only it was at a Nile concert. Broke my damn nose in a mosh pit. Blood everywhere! But as you mentioned, maybe it was someone else, when you saw a fellow mosher go down. You help them up. It was an interesting dichotomy. Beat the poo out of each other to power chords, and then help your fellow man up when they went down. Reminds me of the old cartoon where Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog were all cordial with each other, until they punched in the time clock. Then beat each others brains in for the day. Morning Ralph, Hello Sam. Evening Sam, Evening Ralph.
  10. Do it! Got Korn coming up as well but I have only seen them 4 times haha...so. I would go see them again, maybe, another arena act that slipped my mind.
  11. Nah, not a bad thing at all. I agree with you the intimate venues are a lot funner, certainly a different experience. I think even many of the bands would say that. But I just wanted another experience of 20K fans going nuts. Goddamn! My Megadeth tickets were about 70 bucks. I didn't get the cheap seats but I also didn't get the premium areas. Last year I missed out on a local small venue the Firmament featuring Jinger. I wanted to check them out and tickets were about 60 bucks if I recall. But I waited too late and within a week it was sold out. 189 bucks, damn, that's some Elton John money haha..
  12. Same here old man. Question for you, and any others. I was wondering this earlier. I'm almost convinced many, many metal bands today will not have arena shows, as we have once known them. I mean, I took a look, Slipknot maybe? Sure, I could absolutely see that, for sure. Disturbed might be a consideration. But who else? Who else could sell out an arena as a metal act today? Arena metal is almost dead.
  13. I saw them another time, Sepultura that is, Little John Coliseum. Opening act was them, followed by a little band Alice in Chains. The headliner Ozzy. At the time Sepultura was my favorite band. They got cheesed out of sound as far as I am concerned but, still good concert. Edit: Oh I just remember that was the year Layne Staley had a broke leg. He wheeled his as out on a wheelchair ready to go. By the time it was over his one legged ass was climbing the scaffolds. haha Not a good time for their band at that time. But looking back they put in the work.
  14. haha he still is no Ozzy, but point well made. I was the most hardcore metallica fan you could find back then. I understand what you mean. When the black album came out I was the asshole calling the radio station trying to get one air to tell everyone, trash this poo. It was such a let down, but like many fans, I held out hope. There is always the next album, right? Nope. Kind of like the Panthers. Dude it was a lifetime experience. I used to go to every metal concert within reason of travel. Got to see Pantera cowboys from hell first tour, get this opening act. Sepultura. fug yeah. Many, many others. Metal is really dead these days for arena type acts. It's been a while since I have been to an arena show, so yeah, i'm here for it.
  15. Just got two tickets. Last time I saw them was in the 90's clash of titans tour with Slayer, Anthrax, Testament. Big fan of In Flames and Lamb of God as well being opening acts. I figure it's the last opportunity to see Megadeth again (a)live. haha Should be good fun.
  16. Ok fair enough, but when ppl like me say sell the farm for Watson, I get blow back. So which is it? Are we just looking for a happy medium, or do we need a good qb to get the goddamn job done. Which is very rare to find. Decisions are better understood in hindsight.
  17. I get the crybaby part. I invested in Enron once. Once. I Slept like a baby...and was waking up every other hour crying during the night.
  18. I miss rummaging through all their tiny parts tucked away in the little rolling drawers you couldnt find in a 30 mile radious. Good times.
  19. Yep. Tepper would have to be betting on his own organization to fail. Not likley.
  20. I was about to get into Phil Snow's ass in the 3rd qtr. But im hyped for the 1st win!
