  1. I have no problem that we let him go. He definitely didn't want to be here. Also helps when you have Lawrence, Carter, and Thibodeaux on the dline also. Highly doubt Burns has faced many double teams this year.
  2. Because his Dline owned Brady in 2 superbowls and David Tyree made a 1 in a million helmet catch... And like others said, his last name
  3. While true, lets keep in mind that some awful turnovers from Bryce has pretty much either given opposition points or given them a short field to then score points. JAX, AZ, Miami, and Dallas (Tet's fault) game all had at least 1 turnover that pretty much let the opposing team score or start at our 25 or closer. Let's not even get into the punt coverage debacle of the Pats game... Are the D's stats inflated by weaker offenses so far - probably. But the points allowed is misleading - offense and ST have played a big role in a good chunk of the points allowed.
  4. I thought Brown was dominant from day 1 - at least at stopping the run. He has improved a lot from his rookie year with his pass rushing. Love the weekly clips we get of DB ragdolling some poor olineman as he tackles the RB
  5. Sounds like the type of stats that DC will see and say "F it, lets give Dalton 60 passes in the game" while leaving Rico on the bench and giving Chuba maybe 5 carries in the game...
  6. I agree and that has been one of Bryce's best qualities - he has stayed healthy. Bad luck for him on the injury of maneuvering the sack and the Jets guy stepping on his ankle trying to change direction.
  7. Sounds like our social media team needs to return the favor by showcasing whoever it was (Ransom?) on our team absolutely obliterating Fields helmet-to-helmet because of his late slide
  8. Yeah, I am just looking at our pass blocking stats and the Texans stats being similar, but our oline is way better than theirs IMO. I feel like there are at least 5 times a game 3+ guys come free on a pass rush for opposing teams vs. the Texans. I can't recall too many times I have seen multiple lineman get beat/blow their blocking assignment on the same play this season for us.
  9. The Texans have failed Stroud miserably. Going into the draft, the biggest con on Stroud is his ability to handle pressure via pass rush. The Texans have turnstiles at all 5 sports on their oline and at no point has Houston thought it is important to draft or get a good oline in free agency. Put Stroud on the Colts (or any team with a good oline) and he would be lighting it up out there
  10. I need to look more into how pass block win rate is calculated. Like, if the other team gets a coverage sack because nobody is open and the guy I am blocking gets free to pressure/sack the QB after 5 seconds, is that considered a pass block "loss"? I honestly don't think our pass blocking has been that bad this year (outside of Nijman at LT week 1 and Zavala for 2 out of 3 games). For the most part, teams aren't getting by with a 4 man rush and are having to blitz. Looks like teamrankings says we are 10th in sacks allowed (1.7/game) - and that isn't because we have a QB getting the ball out at an elitely quick rate.
  11. Hopefully we watch film of what Atl did to beat the Bills, because they completely shut down their offense outside of 2 drives
  12. Dude... we looked like ass the 1st 3 quarters and came back against a prevent Cardinals defense that literally had their entire secondary get hurt in the game. That wasn't a we almost won kind of game - it was an Arizona almost pulled off the choke of the decade
  13. Unfortunately it is a bad time for us to get the Bills - they have a very good record after a bye week and they are getting back like 3 or 4 guys on defense. I think it gets ugly - I'll go 31 - 20 them
  14. Damn, seems like we just can't score that equalizer...
  15. Cade didn't have his best game yesterday, but having to worry about Quinnen Williams being right in front of you will do that to most centers. Cade has been very good with his run blocking and ok with his pass blocking. I think he is much better than a replacement level player. Guy would start for more teams than not
  16. I thought he played pretty well the first 2 weeks. The injury definitely set him back. I think Evans should be our #1 tight end and we should be using Sanders split out wide in passing situations
  17. Rumor is he didn't score in the elite category for his S2 hocus pocus test
  18. His speed is even more impressive than his strength. Dude is over 300 pounds and was able to chase down Taylor multiple times when he was running towards the sideline
  19. And Bryce - when he has multiple turnovers in the 1st Q and we abandon the run (see AZ, NE games)
  20. you mean... the only thing you want him throwing is air as he fakes a pass after handing off to Rico... Dude should never, ever be throwing a pass.
  21. Hey Giants, we will give you Dalton + a broken washing machine for Winston
  22. 3 tds (including rushing) to 1 int is a ratio you like? Won't even get into the many lost fumbles Bryce has had... Bryce has been barely above replacement level in that stretch (if that)
  23. He had the look of "I haven't played in almost a month"... I don't think Chuba did anything wrong in the game. Oline just blocked awful for him in the 2nd half
  24. He's the one QB in the draft that was a hit. Honestly didn't expect it because I feel like Ole Miss players are always a bust in the NFL
  25. Pie to the entire defense. I know it's the jets, but we had more sacks today than the rest of our games combined. I liked evero's play calling also. The safety blitzes were high level IQ
