If there is 1 thing this team has shown it is more than capable of, it is heart-breaking disappointment. I wait until there are some preseason games before I get too optimistic, because I cannot think of a time when we looked bad in preseason and it didn't directly translate to the regular season. There has never been a switch this team could throw and turn it on, even in the good years. Regarding the Atlanta game, I am hesitant to make much of it. Don't get me wrong..wins are nice, and wins against hated rivals are even nicer. On its own though, it might just be that, and not a trend.

Bengals are a notoriously cheap franchise. When they were pursuing Tony Siragusa as a free agent, they provided him with a coach plane ticket. Players were responsible for their own soap and toiletry items. None would be provided by the team. They are content to underpay their best defensive player with what amounts to a short term prove it type deal. The offset language at issue in the contract has not been included in their previous contracts, so it certainly sounds like buyer remorse.

Just have to see how the off-season additions work out, what kind of impact rookies have, if there is a positive answer to the really, really big question at qb, or if we have just rearranged the deck chairs on the Titanic. Could be an exciting season, either way.

The Bucs absolutely tanked the last game of the season in order to draft Winston. It happens. In regards to the lottery, there has always been way too much smoke for there to be nothing burning there. Always has been way too much coincidence, and little visibility. Even if it was all on the up and up, the league has to know there is this negative perception, and they do nothing to change or remedy it.

The franchise is cursed. It's easier when you realize that. They are so cursed they don't even have a superstar player to stupidly trade away to ensure the top pick in the following rigged lottery. They are never going to win anything. A successful season is around 30 wins or so.

I would absolutely not pay $10k. That said, there are more than a couple of stadiums that present a far superior game day experience than a Panthers home game.

The left tackle's job though is primarily to protect the qb. That is why it is considered a premium position, especially compared to right tackle. We knew when we drafted him he was deficient in pass blocking. So I guess we just hope that somehow he gets better. It's not my money to spend, so I am not going to be too upset if he does get a market setting deal at left tackle. It's entirely a problem of our own making. Since it is such a premium position, top notch left tackles rarely see free agency, older guys, has-beens and never weres mostly.

Being bad has been a very big, huge part of it, but yes, boring too.

Now, now. We still have Camp Crush season to go, and all the unrealistic expectations and unrealized flashes of potential that go with it to influence our better judgements. Don't forget about the preseason being a magical time when dreams come true.

I would be very surprised if Brooks plays at all next season. Considering when it happened, and now being the 2nd to the same knee, he is probably on the shelf next year. But hey, we screwed old Jerruh out of picking him! Davis was, and may be the exception to multiple occurrences of that injury. Different player, different position as well. Eh. Who knows?

I have to give them something for trying. I don't know how successful it will be. There are some warts on all of them. I don't think I care too much for the rb and te choices.
