The answer is NO. Pay the man and pray he stays healthy. We have all seen what happens when you let proven talent walk in FA or by trade. Lock him into a long term deal, and try to find a decent pair to go along with him. He sets the tone for the defense and is hands down a top tier talent in the league. We cannot afford to miss out on his talent in the future, pull out the fat check and move on with life.

It’s just wild that any name that people recognize in the NFL that end up on our team are traded. We have maybe 4 blue chip players on our team currently. With that being said, I don’t believe was good for the locker room based on our willingness to move him for as cheap as we did

This team earned the number 2 pick last year, got a retread coach, lost the starting QB before half, and is beating the breaks off us. We can’t get any worse than the last few year stretch we have had

It’s sad how many resources we have given up to find a QB and we let two slip away for nothing simply because we are a dumpster fire franchise
