  1. I enjoyed the write up but I’ve been here since day one and over-reacting to preseason games is one of the few traditions still alive from the old days.
  2. If this has been posted before I apologize but did 4 pages of search and could not find anything. I came across this pre-draft production with our guy, 3 other rookies and lots of interesting stuff. Horn joins Fields, Pitts and Parsons. this is episode 2 with Horns pro day and some great family shots. But all four are competing hard in their offseason, amazingly all represented by same agent https://www.nfl.com/videos/hey-rookie-justin-fields-micah-parsons-kyle-pitts-jaycee-horn-s-pro-day
  3. I can't say I knew either Cosmo (well) or Jimmy (at all) but when I did hit up the original Huddle Tailgates I remember what a fun whirlwind Cosmo was and how she really put a lot of effort and resources in the bike drives we had going in the old days. And I remember she was a true fan, following the Panthers around the country through good times and bad. Peace to Cosmo. Jimmy was just flat out funny, wish I had the chance to know and hang out with him. Peace to Jimmy I remember what a body blow it was to learn about Cooter. Really took the fun level down from 11 to 3 around here for a long time. Such a smart, funny and wise young man. Peace again to Cooter. Makes you wonder how many we've missed though. Weird time for a Ted Lasso quote but this one really got me earlier;
  4. If I’m paying that much $ I’m picking Bridgewater and the check down route. I don’t want to be all sweaty and out of breath when I get him to sign the ball.
  5. Tepper is so night and day from Richardson. We are lucky to have him as far as I am concerned. Rhule is a find also and I am convinced he will find success here. I was a little concerned last year that his coaching staff lacked in NFL experience. And I think some of the criticism coming from Teddy was legit. Other than that he commands respect and players like playing for him and he is not as asshole prima donna so he has that going for him. In terms of the fight, I have to say that Anderson bringing some fire really is encouraging. He had great numbers but seemed to coast a bit in the second half and tire of the checkdowns. Marshall may be pushing him also.
  6. I can’t stop watching this
  7. Both Tampa and aint's d-linemen are very good at getting hands up. Hope this can be worked on. Bad things happen when balls get tipped.
  8. When you see a rumor that names multiple teams it is a dead giveaway it started from Watson's camp or the Texan's camp so not sure there is much new here. If anyone else had started this thread it would be a dumpster fire right now. The fact that you started it is giving me real pause. Trading for Watson, in the current climate is a desperate move. Earlier in the offseason it made total sense, but I think with the players we have we are far from desperate. When the first charges came out it was still hard to let go of the idea of a talent like Watson playing for the Panthers. Of course, if Darnold stinks up the joint all bets are off. But I don't see any moves by the Panthers until or especially even if he does and the season is well underway.
  9. Best football name since Butkus
  10. That’s admirable but no reason to ignore general observations. Concerts are back, bars and restaurants are back, football is on the way back, mask use is way down, 40ish % are vaccinated (which basically says most are still not) and the Delta variant is kicking ass and taking names even with those vaccinated. No one wants to hear this but all the ingredients are in place for another shutdown this fall.
  11. Those kits work on Delta. Used them two days ago and still one positive and one negative in our house.
  12. Yes. I am not a doctor or a mathematician but I can grasp that concept. But my single J&J dose stood up against all Branson had to offer even as I let my precautions lapse. I typed OP from WalGreens parking lot as I was waiting on my self test to show negative again. Right after my wife tested positive Pfizer says they are going to put out a booster shot, immediately after the CDC contradicts the manufacturer. Very odd.
  13. good job! I would caution those that took Pfizer to keep wearing masks and socially distance!
  14. She just finished televisit with Doc and he is certain it is Delta based on our location at onset of symptoms. He defended the Pfizer vaccine though by saying only 8-10 % of those vaccinated with it have gotten any form of Covid. I wasn’t there to ask if that was the same % of J&J. Still trying to find out more info on if “booster” is needed. Bottom line though is let’s hope outbreak is confined and that those exposed complete their quarantine. More than ready to be done with this “fake” outbreak. (Sarcasm alert)
  15. My wife got both Pfizer shots this spring and I got a Johnson and Johnson shot so we felt it was safe to travel in RV to visit family. We drove last week to Branson Missouri to visit her parents and we took a lot of precautions with them but did go out to dinner and to their church. After leaving there and hitting up an RV campsite in Arkansas so I could ride the awesome mountain bike trails there my wife started feeling crappy and at the same time we saw on the news that Biden had sent a task force to Springfield Missouri and that separately, Pfizer had announced they would provide a booster shot (which was interestingly immediately answered by the CDC as not necessary?) Friday morning she tested positive and I tested negative. She went to the hospital and they provided monoclonal treatment and did not admit her but we packed up and I drove 18 hours straight back home to quarantine. I just did another self test and I am negative but I wanted to let everybody know that took the Pfizer shotsWhat has happened to us because I think they are crap! LOL. She is doing fine and quarantining on the beach is not terrible but really trying to learn more why the CDC says a booster shot is not necessary
  16. Is this a joke?? sorry, been waiting to use that line on a Ha-Ha Dixon signing for a long time.
  17. Excited to watch this secondary. It really was our worst group last year. As Rhule said after the draft, "we just could not get off the field". To change a weakness to a strength in one offseason says a lot about team management.
  18. not sure he has earned a farewell tour .... but I will take what I can get.
  19. They aren’t going to release a WR that ranked 10th in the league in catches and 15th in yards. And the fact this same receiver only scored 3 TD’s (82nd in league) and only averaged 11.5 yards per catch (79th in league) demonstrates perfectly why the change from “check-down Teddy”to any NFL caliber QB with a live arm should have RA dancing in the street for this contract year to start!
  20. Which means they also qualify as a team going for it this year. And expect their first round draft pick to be at or at least near the very bottom of the round
  21. Good thread. I just started Blood & Treasure , Daniel Boone and the fight for America’s first frontier Bob Drury & Tom Clavin. Amazingly detailed history of not just Boone and his family but of the indigenous tribes that were in the way. But it is not an easy read. I’m a sucker for non fiction and love everything by Jon Krakaur : Into Thin Air, Into the Wild and even Under the Banner of Heaven.
  22. 7pm is NFL Total Access so my guess is we get the slot from 7:39:14 to 7:40:38
