We looked like a competent NFL team PIE thread
Prowler2k18 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
We saw “Bama” Bryce today. Kid is growing up right before our eyes. Hope he keeps proving the haters wrong. -
And as I type this, we pick up our 4th sack of the day.
-
We don’t need T-Mac. We need the best talent we can get along the DL. Our pass rush is practically non-existent.
-
That’s his 2nd penalty today, When will he get those out of his system?
-
On the bright side, we’re doing better than expected considering the opponent and our soft defense.
-
Remind me again how Ickey has improved this year???
-
Yeah where the hell was the help? No way Hopkins should be that wide open.
-
They just updated it to neck injury. Praying its not a fracture.
-
Count me among those in favor of replacing Evero as DC. This D is beyond soft and the tackling is atrocious. That’s on coaching.
-
Melo dropped a 50 burger tonight. Had a career night.

If you wanted Danny Dimes here’s the chance

Apparently he asked to be released and they granted his request. Maybe he just wants a break b4 deciding the next chapter of his NFL career, if there’ll be one. -

Any team claiming him would have to pick up this year’s remaining $11.83M in guaranteed money, so there’s our answer. -
2nd game in a row the Hornets blow a double-digit lead. Unbelievable!
-
Keeping him another season or two and drafting his eventual replacement within that same time frame would be the ideal scenario.
-
I’m hoping Moton will retire a Panther. He’s been a steady presence on that OL for years and it would be ashamed to let him go.
-
I’d still prefer Ickey @ G but would be ecstatic if this panned out. I’m still concerned that he’ll continue to struggle with speed rushers. Not sure why we don’t use more TE sets to help him on the blindside.
-
Mayes has a weight advantage at Center. Christensen’s versatility is valuable but better on the outside than the interior IMO. Mays can also play multiple spots along the interior. I think we’re in the best position we’ve been in years with the OL.
-
This ^ I never understood the dumbassery of playing him @ FS with his noted struggles in coverage. Why we stopped using him in the LB/S role he had under Snow is anyone’s guess.
-
Panthers coaches over the years have been notorious for their “square peg, round hole” approach to player development. Chinn could’ve been really good in LB/S hybrid role here but we blew it. Both deserve the success they’re having in DC.
-
We need an overall infusion of talent on D but it starts in the trenches. A true NT, DE/Edge, then FS and another potential starter opposite Jaycee Horn would do wonders for our D.

BREAKING:Panthers re-sign Chuba Hubbard
Prowler2k18 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
True. And there’s been an increasing emphasis of using RBs in the passing game, which is Brooks’ strength. When I watch his tape, he reminds me of another Longhorn alumni - Jamal Charles. If we can get anything close to that kind of success from Brooks, our backfield is set for a while and our offense will be potent. -

Yeah but Sanders is gone after this year and Brooks is a rookie just making his debut after recovering from knee surgery. For a team that places emphasis on running the ball, this is a good move to build depth now. And let’s not forget, we got Brooks on a rookie contract, so we got at least 3-4 years before sinking $$$ into the position again. -
I hope Mingo benefits from the change of scenery. It’s nice to see us come out ahead on a trade for once.
