  1. Corley not on the list but r. Wilson and Polk? Not a Polk fan at all and that's mighty high on r. Wilson, even though I'm a fan.

Went Franklin, but Corley is right up there if it's 39 or earlier.

Outside the 2nd, I think there is still great value (Luke mcc, Washington, McMillan, B rice.....)

  2. Austin Reed. been banging that drum since the senior bowl practices. hes a guy that has an NFL arm and not the publicity that the others have. he may make it to 240 or UDFA. he isnt going to be chucking it 70 yards, nor laser flat 20 yard out routes. thats ok. he can be effective. little bit of a gambler though so he can give a lot and take away sometimes being aggressive. for a 3rd qb to dev and run the backups sure for pick 240 or UDFA.

Rattler is this year's wildcard. he could be a top guy in a few years or a guy that never makes it to the end of his rookie contract. That arm is elite. at 141/142 idk if i would pass on the lotto ticket with that level and what we have here currently. no way he makes it to 240. very polarizing player for damn sure. personally i would not be shocked to see him in the top 70 picks though as someone thinks they can unlock him. also could see him past 140 cause the red flags of 2022 and 2023 scare everyone off that he will never unlock the arm talent as he doesn't process fast enough or have the consistency to be anything more than a 3rd qb.

The more I watch Darius Robinson the more I like him. He's just plain powerful and disruptive and just fast and athletic enough to make him a lot for Olinemen to handle. Guy goes where he wants and there's not a lot you can do to stop him. Won't be a one trick pony like most edge guys either. Standing up or in 3 point stance, you can put him anywhere at any point and he'll dominate.

And Van Pran... Agreed. I hope we can get him but I'm not sure we'll be able to and get the other help we need

been ringing the bell hes the guy for months. watch this bowl game just put everyone on skates. was a "4th" (lol) then and was always the target with those old silly boards. then watch him destroy all challengers in the senior bowl. as a 290+lb DT/ 5 tech, he's super athletic with a 8+ RAS score. he's fonally making it into the 2nd and 1st as he should. he isnt burns but thats not his game. pair him with rob and brown, the front 3 are locked down. IDK, he may not make it to our pick.

hes little like brown in the levers for arms, tall 3tech or 5 tech, just not as thick. hes going to be a long time pro. idk if he ever fills the stat sheet with sacks/tackles, and thats fine. hes going to disrupt, hold the line to let the 2nd level defenders thrive.

braswell is the other i really want too. that pair would be lethal. solidify the front 3, then get the all out rusher. doubt we can get him without missing on a top 3 center though.

  4. Austin Reed is a name to watch. All the dude did was put big numbers for 4 years. Came in after Zappe and they didn't miss a beat his 1st year. Took a step back last year which has knocked him off the radar.

Dude went to DII and as a RS freshman, just lead the team to a championship and was great in 2021. In the championship game, he broke the yards record for the champ game in the 1st half and TD record in the second. Dude just balled out all year in 2019. In 2 years 7.4k and 78 tds total (think it was 12 rushing).

Goes to WKU and the year after Zappe is drafted in 2021, just continues with video games numbers in 2022. 8k in the 2 years, but 4.7k in 2022 (in 13 games) and 3.3k last year. 71 tds, but again 40 in 2022 and 31 in 2023. Good not great 2023, but that 2023 is magic.

Best QB at the shrine bowl by a mile.

I'm down for our 7th for the guy, but expect he's gone before then now.

Wait what? Johnson is a potential top 10? I'm dying. Dude had zero touchdowns 2 years ago. He was forced in the #1 slot and he is just meh. There's a reason why he's only getting paid 10 million.

Oh and be prepared for him to drop 5 yards back after his catch, and then he makes a move.

So you mean year one of the Mitch and Kenny experience. Yeah no doubt he didn't light up the stat sheet. that was Bryce bad QB play. Hell y'all basically just took the air out of the ball and methodically used Johnson as an extension of the run game and ran it down our throats in 2022. I wouldn't trust Mitch either.

Don't think it's a coincidence his play and output dropped in 2022 after big Ben retired. He was the leading receiver in yards what 3 straight years, and wasn't in all the games. He's what we lack and everyone wants: big play potential. If healthy he took the top off the defense for years, and that speed isn't gone.  Now can our QB get him the ball...... Remains to be seen, and if not it's going to be ugly. Johnson's catch and retreat move is gonna piss us all off for damn sure.

Jackson is going to frustrate you. He loves to make a play and then later give up a huge one, game after game.. we both are trading for potential and unloading our underperforming guys here. Think Jackson has a better outcome as he won't be asked to be a #2 CB for you all. We likely ask Johnson to be a top 2 WR and want him as the #1 as it stands today. Hope for us he's motivated to perform for the next contract.

It will not matter that much. He's basically on a 1 year prove it deal here. That will decide his fate here. If he wants it he will have to earn it. I seriously doubt they plan on him being anything other than that until his replacement is drafted.

I'm not exactly thrilled but as a wild card on offense where we sucked. Wide range of outcomes for him. Cause this is a swap it's the one move that likely cost nothing in cap or personnel with the highest chance to move the needle. I'm not convinced it does though.

  7. Well, one bad contract of another. Johnson has potential to be top 10 WR. but man he already started the on the field post Pittsburgh AB antics in Pittsburgh with a questionable QB. Idk this could get really spicy. Let's hope we can feed him and keep him happy, cause of so we likely are doing worlds better than last year in the passing game.

  8. So we have meh center, a LT that looked absolutely lost, a RT that's paid a mint and average last year so we go set the market for OG to start his contract. 😔

I get we need help, but if we are going to put 27 mill for a OL guy this year, why inside and not LT and just accept icky at LG. If yearly average of over 20mill for the 1st 3 years ....

Also of all positions OG typically is the easiest to find in a draft for cheap. That said hunt is a former 2nd round pick so shows good one come early too.

    Good Hunting

  9. Give me Zack Frazier. Guy is a 100 gritty guy.  His last play he threw his team mate last the sticks for a first down. Oh and broke his leg on the play. But instead of getting a time runoff due to injury, he end up crawling his way to the sideline.

    https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/the-perfect-fit-for-the-panthers-at-no-33

And he's a damn good player on top of grit and team first play like that. He has a ton of snaps too at a high level too. I get the hype to powers and svp. But the guy I really like is Frazier.

It seems the Panther's are doing everything they can to put all the blame on Fitts. Who really knows who's responsible but its a little fishy for sure.

Yeah, smells of "last guy sucked, this mess was his, don't blame me".

Seen this in workplaces far too often.

  11. GIVE ME ROBINSON!

Still at 285, 6'5 , 34" arms with a sub 5.00 and 35 vert. Good 10 yard split. Let Fiske take the glory, give me D Rob.

And Eric Watts making money tonight after a solid senior bowl practice week.

i'm not hating this at all.

would like to have gotten another OL or two, but i think this would take care of a good few things.

one of the things that i keep looking for are hard nose between the tackle RBs and there's a couple of them Carson Steele late looks like a tough mfo and he's a yards after...everything.

plus getting an extra first rounder next year doesn't hurt.

Erick all is a name to watch for sure

Sucks he's never healthy. But early reports were from iowa was he is better than laporta.

  13. I'm not going to say we must/need/should sign him. Long term it makes it hard to sustain if everything fell into place. Too many holes to fill just in 1 year. Too many staff questions too. If everything worked sure be a great story for all.

So to work a lot must happen.

If we could flip Bryce for a low 1st/2nd,  it's not an atrocious idea even if it's a 3 year rental as you take swings later years at QB. The additional pick would need to hit (id eye DB/rusher with the extra pick)

We don't know what we have with mingo/smith/tmj. MANY are down on all of them. I have issue with last year as judgement on them. Concepts, QB, line all really made that a really hard eval. Still would like a rook this year and move chark money somewhere else.

Our line looked better when we had more than short concepts in 2022 and the outliner Dalton game. Still need more out of the interior parts though. There are 4 centers this year that have high floors and should not all go before our 3rd. This year is LOADED at OT get one! Kick icky inside and sorted a lot. Also we have depth/starters that can comeback and fill the interior too

With a full load of picks, team have gone worst to 1st in the NFC South fast, and rebuilt fast.

With HC connections, the promise of Russell on a cheaper deal could pull a Evans. That pairing with AT looks a lot different than the trash now. With a top pairing Russell should look manageable.

This doesn't fix the leaky D though. I think some of that is horn and lack of a 2nd pass rusher. Would also need to find a true NT if we want to keep with the 3-4. Also have to retain burns and luvu to have any chance.

Overall, it's 1 in a million it works for the big prize. Think it puts playoffs as the expectation, for better or worse.

I wouldn't do it but the Teppers swing big so who knows.

We need to have a strategy. Take OL flyers late, especially guys who did well at big schools but for whatever reason didn’t go early like Norwell out of Ohio State or Smith (Tennessee) or Williams (Oklahoma). Don’t take projects who looked bad pre-draft like Deonte or waste picks like long snappers. We tried to fix our Smith mistake with Mays and Zavala but they haven’t looked good. Still needs to continue but TBH, our scouting department has been god awful at finding good value.

Rouse from OU, Jones from Texas fit the bill imo. Both currently undervalued. Iirc both have lots of snaps/starts under their belts. I don't get the reason Rouse went from a mid/2nd tier OT prospect last year to now a late or UDFA guy. Their film is pretty ok/good. Is it prospect fatigue?

The ones that stand out to me are below--these dudes don't seem to require much acclimation, have good to excellent route running skills and should translate quickly:

Troy Franklin - Been a stan, will remain a stan.  He's what the offense has been missing.

Adonai Mitchell - Excellent route runner and sure-handed.  And at 6'4, he's not some project bigger type, he's a legit potential X receiver that can even take on slot roles at times.

Jalen McMillan - Route running technician, sure-handed, and has great burst.  I felt that he popped over Polk alongside Odunze in WAS.  A very good combo of fluid and agile.  He just has a presence and burst that you love to see.

Jamari Thrash - Fast off the line, gets separation very quickly.  Reliable, good downfield tracking, can be used all over.  Could be an ideal asset with very little acclimation.

Malachi Corley - Him and Thrash will gain more and more traction as we approach the draft.  YAC machine, seemed to REALLY impress scouts at the senior bowl.  Fun dude to watch on highlights.  Really has a knack for getting upfield, RB mentality when he has the ball.  Super dynamic.

Let's get some of these dudes.

    Add in 2 more

Roman Wilson- athlete turned receiver. He is smaller though. Now can really run routes and improved his coordination and not a drop machine. Creates separation multiple ways.

Benden Rice. Think he is seriously being slept on. He may be the guy that wows at the combine at his size/speed combo. He's had drops and route issues at USC.  Not the best cuts in routes. Can get vertical and burn with the best in the class. Can get physical at the line too. Bit odd but not a RAC/YAC monster.
