  1. offense doing its job again this week. last week was all the suck but 3-4 they are showing they are atleast a an NFL level group.  I'll give Canales credit for making that side work with of all people Andy flipping Dalton. wish he would lean on chubba more often honestly, but the passing game is there. and the running game is too, just wish he would lean on it more to keep their D on the field longer and ours off.

defense yuck. but we are pulling guys off the street to play and field a practice team. its a complete poo show talent wise there right now.

Matt Rhule's wife made the best mid-round pick we've had in years. LOL

Eh if you watched his 2017 and 2018 tape, you could see this happening. Was great at Okie State. Regressed in 2019 but at the combine showed he was more the 2018 guy than 2019. Was thrilled when we took him. Not shocked he has shown out this year. About the right time for him to blossom at 24-25.

  3. Could never stay healthy. If he was just the healthy college version, he would never have made it to us. I hope the meds came back clear. He was a project when he came out. Unfortunately his #1 trait was that raw physical size/quickness and with all the injuries idk if it's all there.

I doubt he comes in and gives great play early. He's a guy that should tend to work against bigger WRS and stay the hell away from shifty fast ones. He had a knack of getting beat deep at VT, but was lights out if you didn't challenge him deep.

Rooting for a fellow hokie though.

Henry has to be the fastest biggest dude in NFL history. I wanted that dude years ago. He's still a problem in this league.

Looks like we will have competition for QB in the draft. The Browns might be moving on from Watson lol

dammit. jameis is a guy i was targeting next year. if he gets that crew going he's gonna cost a ton.

  6. about what was expected. think vegas gave the defense too much cred and bengals not enough coming in. did the begals get a helping hand from the refs, sure, but bengals were close to cruise control, but couldnt stay there as the offense was a threat.

our offense is better than average at this point. young and growing outside Qb. but with a gunslinging QB, we get to see how good the unit can be. the WRs got a ways to go, but overall they did ok. the 2nd half dropsies sucked ass though and hurt our chances at the upset.

now defense, this feels like Rons last year D. its a different unit and different DC, but it was paper thin, and not really great up front. like then, we got injured and it was a whole lotta suck. same here. pass rushers and brown out really hurt. its a bunch of JAGS. backend has 1 guy thats good to great in horn. but he cant save the D alone. they are scrappy and can get some stops, but they are going to be bottom 10 or worse this year.

last years was better but teams didnt really go 60 min all out as they knew we couldnt score....... Luvu would be great here........

expected this as a L coming in. burrow and all his weapons back vs our shitty front 7. fact that we stayed within a score most of the game after bad start from the offense was encouraging.

we are no longer a pushover and we will win a lot more games than last year. low bar but will likely be a huge improvement on O with a lot of the parts locked in for a while so easier path to upgrade next year. outside the pesky long term qb (still pissy we didnt take CJ, but thats in the past now). playoffs are a long shot unless the NFS south takes a hug backslide, and unfortunately they have real offenses that will really feast against this defense.

  7. hell i didnt start jordan addison today. that vikes team is legit. darnold isnt leaving minny. he will take a smaller deal to stay there. that team is LOADED and he is looking like an MVP cause they have a loaded OL, WR group, TE, and even RB now. plus the OC/HC is a freaking OC GOAT with what he got out of cousins and guys off the street. why leave for anywhere else unless he really need to chase more $.

oh and defense do better. need some guys next FA and draft for damn sure

  8. Canales showing how good he is. the O staff is needs to be locked in for the future. this isnt some staff that got a bunch of old toys and made it work. hes got a younger group playing. yes he has an older vet QB, but that shows a guy like dalton can look pro bowl level in this O (like baker in TB).

i think we are showing that maybe there was actual talent all over the field and we just needed a real QB to take advantage................

  9. reason to trade now: time for the other team to evaluate = compensation.

any team that picks him up at the end of the season burns time to develop/evaluate him before deciding on year 5. so, leverage the control. its be 1 year before you had to make the call vs 1.75.

that's why the Darnold trade was dumb of us (had to go with 5th year option before year 4, without him any sight of him in a uni) and Rosen was smart of the cards. sell the years of control and time to fix before the real $ decisions are required.  really should have sold at the end of last season but here we are and the value went down again so far this year..............

  10. Dalton is a better version of Derek Anderson when he backed up Cam. The clock is ticking before he isnt too good. Father time is undefeated. Kick the tires on Winston (FA) or Howell (trade). Need a better development guy than plummer. or longer bridge.

If I was Darnold I might tell the panthers to kindly look elsewhere after the way 2022 and 2021 went here. now he might if its the only bag someone throws at him, but id say he gets more than our offer.

I'm wait and see on Morgan but so far gotta give some credit this roster is not without talent.

we had talent the last 3 years man. Rhule fuged us to start as was shown with wilks taking Rhule's proclaimed talentless roster and getting right up to the playoffs window but got GOATed by the bucs with brady and evans abusing the poo out of henderson (who is was garbage). Add fitt trading CMC prior to Wilks getting his shot so it wasnt that bad as Rhule said.......

Then tepper forcing Bryce all year in 2023 made evaluation impossible. The team (OC/HC) all quit with the rest cause they saw Bryce wasnt it for the most of 2023. We got another glimpse into that to start the year in two blowouts. the narrative was talentless Panthers before today. like the Seattle game last year, we were not talentless on O.

A competent QB and HC changed the math. So morgan has a loooooong way to go as he was part of the Bryce debacle and the scouting under Fitt. and its not like we hit well under fitt and morgan as assistant GM in 2022 and 2023. his connection to the stench of Fitt from even the Seattle days makes me really cautious with him. he took a layup on johnson for jackson.

wish we fired Fitt and Rhule after 2021 and let wilks take over with baker, pj, and sam. be better off place today.

Hubbard is a baller he already told ya'll he lives and breathes football.

Diontae is earning himself a contract out there credit where it's due to Dan Morgan for that acquisition.

Eh, extremely low risk. and it was really cheap cause Jackson really was replicable. The Steelers screwed up letting a legit #1 go for a #2 CB. Also shows why Johnson worked with big ben so well and not the crap in picket and co. Like chark from last year, he looked better with dalton. i wouldn't go crazy big $ for Johnson or Chark.

I wouldn't give morgan too much cred for a layup. If he can float Bryce for anything more than a 6th..... he will have more rope to play with. Still need to see if he understands what to find in a long term QB.

  13. We legit did what OP wanted by getting a QB in 2023 (Rhule fired in 2022) after the doom they state was firing Rhule mid season and won games. So we tried to get that franchise guy at 1-1 and it still didn't work out and we could have got the right guy still (Stroud) but missed and turned a meh team into an all-time poo show (never led until 0:00 on the clock ALL YEAR). sucking to keep getting players doesn't work. That is how the Browns and Lions stayed poo, cause they kept missing and kept loosing and had terrible management that blamed players (stafford was fine). Its not how to build a franchise. Hell the ones that have been on top have done it while drafting late year after year. So no sucking to "build assets" is a foolish strategy in the NFL. Proper development and scouting trumps all. Hell MVP Lamar Jackson was bottom of 1st round. where was Hurts, or Purdy, D Carr, Dak....... 1-1 means poo once you are in the NFL. just select good players and sign them. 2nd need coaches to work with the mix and maximize the players they have. if you are good at those 2 things, finding a QB will follow if you can find talent at every position while getting the best out of what you have. Eagles won with a loaded team and a journyman QB...............

We would rather see progress across the board to see we know how to build a team and direct a team. and we are seeing that today. so if this keeps up and we go 7-9 so be it. we do know we have a better group than expected and parts to build on. the narrative of the Rhule era and start of the Bryce era is the same for the losers that supported them: wasn't their fault but the supporting casts. nah that's BS. The issues with Rhule were different. Your boy Rhule made it impossible to judge talent (Mayfield/Darnold/ even Joe Brady as OC whos showing out in Buffalo) and then we blamed the players (Teddy was right!). if we can get a good staff that can show how to get positive plays out of these guys it shows what we have, need, and what we can turn players into. that is 100x more important than trotting a guy that brings everyone down out there and keep playing for draft picks. the development and proper player recognition matters so much more. now if you get in a spot like the 49ers or cheifs where you get a poo season due to injuries, shoot your shot. worked for the Chiefs and the 49ers missed. so again high picks are still not a winning strategy to get that top QB. Those two teams still would be playoff teams with superbowl aspirations as the staffs knew wtf they were doing (though lance is a biiiiiig miss for the 49ers)

OP has one of the worst takes of the year on fuging record now.
